About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush 2 RUSH

by Muzixndmd on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 4 out of 5

Rush delivered a superb show, leaving me both amazed & wanting more. For as many times as I've seen them I'm always amazed how all that sound comes from just 3 musicians- all of whom are virtuosos at their main instruments. It's understandable that they may not want to tour anymore, but they don't show any signs of slowing down. I liked how the set list featured their music in chronological order, most recent to earliest. "The Main Monkey Business" was a pleasant surprise considering how obscure it is in comparison to their overall catalogue. The screens were entertaining and well-produced. In all I would highly recommend audiences to see RUSH.

  • Rush's Boston R40 Concert

by CaseyMA on 6/30/15TD Garden - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

A very good show, especially if if this truly their last tour. The sound was excellent, even from the nosebleed section, and the selection of songs was on par with what I've come to expect from a Rush show: a great variety of tunes from a range of their albums, working backwards from the last album to the first. On the downside, Geddy's voice was struggling through the entire evening. Seemed like he was battling a cold or maybe bad allergies. There were a couple of times when it cracked outright, including his introduction after the first 3 songs. In regards to song choice, I loved Xanadu, Subdivisions and the reintroduction of Jacob's Ladder. I was also very happy that they skipped Limelight this time around (which is overplayed on the radio and in shows in general, IMHO) in favor of other tunes. I was, however, disappointed that they didn't do anything from Presto, Hold Your Fire nor Test for Echo. Personally, I would have eschewed the first three songs from Clockwork Angles for other, more known tunes. However, this is a minor gripe. Overall, great show. The multimedia, however, was just downright weird this time around. The lasers were incredible (and was happy to see that they'd added a lot of man-made fog to the arena ahead of time), but the video just left me much confused. I didn't know most of the performers they had for the hip-hop part of Roll The Bones, save for Peter Dinklidge, and the compendium of outtakes from the past show videos was just plain weird. We also could have done without with the exit video, IMHO.

by momfisch on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

THEY PLAYED FOR A LONG TIME, SOUND WAS GOOD AND THEIR VOICES WERE STILL VERY GOOD BUT FEEL LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO FALL DUE TO STEEPNESS I WOULD NOT STAND UP FOR SURE.

  • Amazing

by Anonymous on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

It's amazing how amazing they still are after all of these years. Being there to witness it in person was so cool. You can watch YouTube videos of those drum solos but watching one in person?? There are no words.

  • RUSH was Amazing!!!

Awesome show! Loved every minute. Will never miss a show as long as they keep coming back to East Coast! Would love for them to come back to Jones Beach again. Let's go for another 40 years!! Thank you RUSH!

  • Awesome

by RandieRu on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing concert. Anyone who has been a fan over these 40 years would make a mistake not seeing them on this tour. So very happy I went, whether they'll tour again, or not.

  • Great Show! Rush 40+ better than ever!!

    by erikw95 on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Long 26 song set list in two sets plus nice long encore. Bizzarre props on stage as usual...lol....bizarre videos in between sets as usual.....mildly funny at times. Bottom line is Neil, Geddy and Alex can still rock the house. I don't know how Neil's arms don't fall off.

  • I was totally RUSHified!

    by Steelerschick68 on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

What a fantastic show! Nice long 3 hour + show, the songs made the hair on my arms stand up it was so good... Losing it, Jacobs Ladder it was flawless like the dude behind me kept yelling. Lol Flawless! Loved it, I was very easily moved to tears as I knew this may be the last time I get to see them live. The crowd, as myself, absolutely loved it! Long Live Rush!!!

  • Rush... enough said!

  • Rush rocks better than ever!

    by ShibaMom01 on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show full of everything you'd expect from Rush. These guys are the masters and they don't disappoint. Lots of rarities plus the mainstays you'd anticipate hearing. All mixed with a smattering of Rush humor. See these guys on tour while you still can!

  • Still awesome after all these years!

    by JT1999 on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Rush played for over 3 hours! Unbelievable that 3 guys can put out like these guys do and for 40+ years.

  • Rush was great

by benjier on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

R40 shows that the members of Rush are still amazing and can still play at a very high level. I've always wished that their set list contained a few more "songs" versus the mostly instrumental tracks. That said, as Geddy does all the singing I can appreciate the balancing act. They play "Distant Early Warning" every other tour stop so I was disappointed to have missed that. That said, they do 2 sets and an encore; so 27 songs. Even without an opening act you'll hear about 2 hours worth of live music. For some reason, Lifeson didn't seem very animated. I've been to previous Rush concerts where she was a bit more lively.

  • R40 best show they have ever done!!!

by Lookingforfairvalue on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing setlist. Terrific acoustics. Loved how they covered the present and went all the way back to their debut album. Very funny videos clips. They really gave the crowd their money's worth.

  • RUSH WAS AMAZING!!!! BEST SHOW EVER

    by Eric2112 on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Rush live between 60-70 times in my life. Four times on this tour. Each show this tour has been amazing. NYC being the best. Each song is EPIC! Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee and Neil Peart are the most amazing musicians of all time.

  • Rush - R40

    by Limelight81 on 6/29/15TD Garden - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

I have mixed feelings regarding this show. The sound was really bad. Extremely loud, which I normally do not mind, but the mix was horrible. I could not hear Geddy singing at all. If you didn't know the words to a song, you're out of luck. The guitar was piercing, then the bass, then drums and Geddy's quiet, muddy vocals. Normally Rush has a great sound live, wish I knew what happened. No adjustments were made to the sound. I didn't like the first set. Too much new/newer material. Rush has so many songs that the fans want to hear. They barely touched what they could've played. The second set was amazing !!!! If you go to a show, you will love the second set. Lots of jamming and the boys show that they can still play the old songs. Highlights are obviously Cygnus X and 2112. Neil can still play as amazing as ever. Wish they would have played La Villa Strangiato. That would've been the icing on the cake. Overall a decent show, but not quite what I was hoping for. Especially since this may be their last tour.

  • EPIC!!!!

    by Rockingon4Ever on 6/29/15TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Rush hit an all time high for me. Geddy really must have tuned up his voice for this one, because he hit some of the highest notes I've heard him sing in quite some time. Neil is a madman on the drums, best in the world as far as I'm concerned. Alex can rip the guitar like no ones business. This is also my MasterCard moment: 2 Silver VIP tickets - $610.00 MBTA Parking - $7.00 2 Charlie cards (subway fare) - $11.40 4 Beers, cheeseburger & fries - $59.00 1 Baseball style concert shirt - $65.00 1 Football style concert shirt - $100.00 Spending $852.40 on a concert - INSANE Seeing RUSH for the 10th and "maybe" (hopefully not) the last time - PRICELESS

  • See RUSH while you can!!!

    by telostrat0 on 6/29/15TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say about RUSH? I could tell you it was an awesome show. I could say the setlist was in reverse order of their career so we could go backward in time with them. I could also say that they looked like they had fun jamming in between songs. I will say that this is probably the last time you will see Geddy, Alex, and Neil onstage together!

  • by Anonymous on 6/28/15TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

RUSH needs no review, they are just awesome. Great setlist which included classic Rush favorites.
