About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • RUSH Brought the THUNDER & LIGHTNING - Literally!

by VenturaMaid on 7/1/15TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

On Tuesday, June 23 2015 RUSH brought the THUNDER and the LIGHTNING to TD Banknorth Graden in Boston, MA - Literally! On the drive up to Boston, one could not help but notice the darkening clouds, brilliant forks of lightning and cacophony of thunder. The concert was in to two hours and Mother Nature was the Pre-Show! A fitting harbinger for what would be a great night at the theater! RUSH brought the thunder and the lightning in their music and their presence. They gave a wonderful performance and once again demonstrated to me, why they are the best progressive rock band of all time! They played many of my favorites and some that were new to me but nonetheless just as rockin'. The audience was a great mix of young and veteran RUSH fans that showed great enthusiasm and were on their feet for the whole show. What a great ride they've had! So glad I got to be a part of the audience that night! It was BLISS!

  • Rush sucked

    by upinya666 on 7/1/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 1 out of 5

The sound was terrible. I didn't like the sets.I will never go to the Prudential Center again. The seating was cramped.

  • R40

    by JROne1 on 7/1/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

They were awesome! They sounded better than the albums for most songs except when the sound guy screwed up on Closer to the Heart ... acoustic guitar issue? There were some sound issues in the 2nd half, but I'm blaming the crew, not the band. Losing It was amazing with the guest violin. Alex Lifeson hasn't lost anything. Neil Peart is excellent as always. Geddy Lee was amazing. Their videos were great ... played the original Subdivision video and the new stuff they shot were fun, especially with all the cameos. Great concert, don't miss it.

  • Rush - best live concert ever!

This band puts on the best live concert show there is or ever was!

  • Rush Rules!

by tfarrell on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

A great show, saw them in the 70"s and had the pleasure of taking my son to see them tis tour. Still a great show.

  • great show....glad i went (again! ;)

by dougymeister on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

I see them every few years when they come around. This time i was thinking, probably same old show, but i really enjoyed myself and was glad i went. Geddy sang strong, Neil and Alex great as always. Great music selection without too many unwanted songs! go go go!

  • RUSH was good but setlist ... not so much

by spaghettimonster on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 3 out of 5

Band sounded great but the setlist was mediocre. As a fan, I wanted to hear more of the hits from the 80's early 90's.

  • What a Show - Don't Miss It!!

by dvraddict on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

What an awesome show!! The fact that only 3 men can create such a spectacular sound still amazes me. Hearing side one of the 2112 album live was the highlight for me. Doesn't get any better. What a phenomenal night of music. A don't miss tour!

  • RUSH WAS OUTSTANDING!

by XReeseX on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

The RUSH concert was one of the best I have ever seen! From beginning to end, EVERYONE in the stadium was on their feet. The show was funny, entertaining, and unbelievable to watch.

  • Breath-stopping (literally)

by SkeptiGal on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Rush and I have some things in common: we're getting on in years, have some arthritis, and are retiring. The saddest thing about some people who are set to retire is they just show up for the paycheck and live out their last few weeks or days just waiting for the end. I decided I wasn't going to do that, and clearly, Rush has decided not to as well. They played at the TOP OF THEIR GAME! It was so thrilling to hear them play with such fierceness and joy. Thanks, RUSH, for the best gift I received for my retirement, and I wish you well in yours! PS. I did resume proper respiration once Xanadu was over, but I caught myself several times not breathing while the guys played this monument to prog. PPS I'm a girl.lol

  • Rush R40: Good Show, if you like standing...

by RailGreen on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 3 out of 5

I have followed Rush since 1985, and this is probably the last Rush Concert I ever go to. I paid good money for seats, 5 rows from the floor, with a good view of the stage. But once the show began, everyone got up and stood, blocking the great view, for the 3 hours of the Concert. I tried to stand, but couldn't stand too long, due to a medical condition. I got blown off, when I asked people to move over, and spent most of the show, unable to see it. Very disappointed.

  • by Huey1N on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome. Just awesome. Rush is one of the greatest bands ever.

  • One of my favorite Rush shows ever

    by Zd2112 on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing setlist, these guys are rocking as hard as the first time I saw them almost 15 years ago. Light show was incredible. I would see this exact show again immediately!

  • Pure magic

by Rsssh on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Anyone who goes to R 40+ is witness to history. You will experience Dedication to musicianship at its finest I have not missed a tour since moving pictures. It was awesome to hear a set list that was about as close to 1976 and ALL THE WORLDS A STAGE I left knowing it is probably the last time they may grace a stage at this level and felt blessed to be a part of it. There is nothing like being a dedicated Rush fan

  • Class Act!

by rabbithabit on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

First off I've been a fan of RUSH since 1974. Unfortunately this is the first time I've been to a live concert of their's and boy am I sorry. Second of all even though I've been a fan since day one I have not really "followed their history and evolution into the RUSH of today". Again, boy am I sorry. I had forgotten the epic instrumentals having been used to hearing the radio hits. These guys put on a show like I remember the shows of the seventies (one headliner; stage props and 2 1/2 hours of rockin' music) not like the double and triple headliners of today where the old guys are on for and hour or so. And not even an opening act!!!!! For 61 and 62 year old guys, all three of them put on a show to remember and there are only three of them! Go RUSH!!!! I hope you come around again and this is not the final show because I will be there if there is a next time! Glad I made it to the 40th Anniversary...

  • RUSH at its best with laser light show and videos

by LongitmeFemaleFan on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Love seeing RUSH in concert as they not only have great acoustics accompanying each song, their heart and soul seem to be poured out in every song. Loved the background busy work along with the videos

  • The BEST!!! Can I give them 6 stars?

    by TheWeasel65 on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing concert! Amazing Setlist! RUSH killed it........3 of the most talented musicians to ever grace a stage. I've only seen them about 20 times, but each time they always seem to deliver a concert better than the previous years. This was no exception.

  • The definitive RUSH show.

by RocktheBeach on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

The Canadian Hall of Famers played a two and a half hour set spanning their entire career in reverse with passion and precision. They have never played better. It was a special night of music and memories that will last a lifetime..

  • RUSH Delivers!

by DredMLM on 6/30/15Prudential Center - NewarkRating: 5 out of 5

Had to see this show. No way around that. IF they tour again, fine. I'll go see them anytime. Knew the concept of going back in the catalog as the concert progressed, so there weren't any surprises. One of the best Rush shows I have seen and that is what I expected from these great musicians!
