RuPaul's Drag Race on Tour
Even beamed into people's living rooms through their TVs, RuPaul's Drag Race is one of the biggest and most fabulous shows on Earth — it was only a matter of time before its cavalcade of queens ended up in Las Vegas. Specifically, they took up residence at the Flamingo, in a room that for more than a decade hosted the Donny & Marie variety show. A far more colorful and extremely ambitious production, RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! involves big dance numbers, wild wardrobe changes, all-star catwalk crawls, vicious lip-sync battles and, well, a "bitch-slap" competition that calls for audience involvement. The mission is to make fans feel like they're in the middle of an interactive episode taping — a rotating cast of beloved queens previously seen on the show partakes in a series of challenges, performances and face-offs. The crowd determines a winner via the Clap-O-Meter, an outsize applause measurement device made to look like big lips and a giant tongue. The choreography comes from longtime Ru pal Jamal Sims (Step Up, the Oscars, live-action Aladdin) and is set to tunes previously heard on the series (think Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears) as well as new original music from RuPaul, producer Leland and Tom Campbell. Meanwhile, the vibrant and often delightfully absurd sets transport viewers to a veritable wonderland of neon sass.
RuPaul's Drag Race in Concert
RuPaul's Drag Race debuted on Logo TV in 2009 and became an instant hit. It didn't hurt that the show's host, mentor and head judge was already the most famous and beloved drag queen the world had ever known, but the series quickly demonstrated its power to captivate audiences of all backgrounds and launch incredibly colorful new stars. By the time it kicked off its 12th season in 2020, the reality competition series had been nominated for 23 Emmys and won nine, not to mention increased awareness and (rabid) appreciation of drag culture, as well as gifted unto the world such truly inspired queens as Trixie Mattel, Bianca Del Rio and Alaska Thunderf*ck 5000. In 2017, RuPaul's Drag Race leapt to VH1 and also off of the screen via the Werq the World tour. That larger-than-life spectacle proved to be a hit, running for years and also paving the way for RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! in Las Vegas, starring show alumni Yvie Oddly, Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Derrick Barry, the Pit Crew and many more.

We were all expecting RuPaul to be on stage... she was not.. this event should have stated very clearly the star, RuPaul would not be performing.
This show was great! It was funny, interactive, & so entertaining. Highly recommend for an enjoyable night in Vegas!
Don't get me wrong - I love RPDR and all its spinning universe - but NIGHT OF THE LIVING DRAG...well... it dragged. Not while the acts were lip synching, naturally, but in Yvie's rambling introductions. The pace was sluggish and the audience involvement segment seemed to take forever. I felt them trying - but that's when you instinctively need to move it along. Also, since when does a casino drag show need an intermission? It's drag - not Chekhov. This should have been a brisk and brilliant 90 minutes, but I suppose they were looking to sell more Love Cocktails and Mocktails, so it went on... and on... and on.
Highly recommend going! What an exciting time we had. Venue was up close and personal too.
This was an absolutely terrible production. Of all the drag race productions, this one needs everyone to go back to the drawing board on host, production value, audience engagement, and pivots from moment to moment. I was going in with high expectations because Voss does an amazing job - but it was a date night gone wrong.
Of course being a rupaul drag race fan, you come to the show with high expectations. Unfortunately, i was a little disappointed. The lip synching was not to the level of the show and in fact, one of the performers wasn't even trying. Yvie Oddly wasn't even funny and the jokes did not "hit", so we ended up leaving early and fortunately, the dinner at Il Mulino was phenomenal. Good end to a night out.
the host was really good, the performers were good...entertaining show......the 10 minute VIP experience (as expensive as the tickets) was not good
The dancing was fabulous! I was hoping for more drag, - more outfits, costume changes, & funny jokes. It was a lot of fun and very entertaining but it kinda felt thrown together at times… still worth it!! Thanks for coming to Jersey! We love ya’ll
Very fun night queens was gorg! Host did a wonderful job. Good jokes and music. Need better dancing from the queens except the last one to perform.
Performers are great. Seating not so much. The table we had put my back to the stage and the TV monitor was too close to actually watch. Very disappointing.
This was such a great experience! We are big fans of the show. I’ve watched nearly every episode of every series around the world and All Stars. To then be able to have a front seat view in an intimate setting of the TV show in real life was fantastic. The girls were amazing and I loved that they interacted with the audience. I would definitely return again.
What a fun show. Asia O'Hara was a perfect host. She was funny and talented and professional-ish. Bwahahaha Teaching my husband the art of the fake slap was the BEST. That has always been his favorite bit on Drag Race. The queens really were on point. They knew their routines, slayed the lip syncs and landed all their jokes. This show was the highlight of our Vegas trip. We appreciate the hard work that goes into drag and we thank all of the queens for keeping us entertained and amazed.
We got front row seats and it was worth every penny! The queens were amazing, super energetic and the skits were so funny! I will definitely be back! The ONLY part that made my experience bad was, we asked for drinks when we got there (10 minutes before the show started, and the waitress never came back) halfway through the show, i had to get up and go find her and have her bring us drinks. I was super upset I was having to miss part of the show to go find a waitress! And it was embarrassing having to be in the way of others experience as well. Front row should have definitely been a priority!
If you love the TV show then you will love this live show too. Best seats are in the booth near the extended stage. This was the best show I’ve seen on the strip.
The Cast are all highly professional and talented. If you watch Rupaul's franchises you will enjoy the storyline Pit Crew are excellent dancers and the Host was hilarious and highly entertaining. Go and see it as I know you will not be disappointed. Pangina was especially fantastic for me but we all have our favourites!
Such fun! Brilliant production. Highly recommended.
Overall a good show but didn't live up to the expectations I had. This might be in part based on cast - We saw Pangina, Lawrence Chaney, Derek, Asia, Bosco, Kennedy. Pangina Heals was an amazing performer and put their all into the show and was a joy to see and really saved it. Lawrence and Kennedy were also good. Derek honestly just felt like they were going through the motions which was pretty disappointing as someone I was excited to see.
Exceeded expectations. The venue is quaint & every seat is a good seat.
This is the best show ever. The performances were great and the host was very entertaining.
