RuPaul's Drag Race on Tour

Even beamed into people's living rooms through their TVs, RuPaul's Drag Race is one of the biggest and most fabulous shows on Earth — it was only a matter of time before its cavalcade of queens ended up in Las Vegas. Specifically, they took up residence at the Flamingo, in a room that for more than a decade hosted the Donny & Marie variety show. A far more colorful and extremely ambitious production, RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! involves big dance numbers, wild wardrobe changes, all-star catwalk crawls, vicious lip-sync battles and, well, a "bitch-slap" competition that calls for audience involvement. The mission is to make fans feel like they're in the middle of an interactive episode taping — a rotating cast of beloved queens previously seen on the show partakes in a series of challenges, performances and face-offs. The crowd determines a winner via the Clap-O-Meter, an outsize applause measurement device made to look like big lips and a giant tongue. The choreography comes from longtime Ru pal Jamal Sims (Step Up, the Oscars, live-action Aladdin) and is set to tunes previously heard on the series (think Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears) as well as new original music from RuPaul, producer Leland and Tom Campbell. Meanwhile, the vibrant and often delightfully absurd sets transport viewers to a veritable wonderland of neon sass.

RuPaul's Drag Race in Concert

RuPaul's Drag Race debuted on Logo TV in 2009 and became an instant hit. It didn't hurt that the show's host, mentor and head judge was already the most famous and beloved drag queen the world had ever known, but the series quickly demonstrated its power to captivate audiences of all backgrounds and launch incredibly colorful new stars. By the time it kicked off its 12th season in 2020, the reality competition series had been nominated for 23 Emmys and won nine, not to mention increased awareness and (rabid) appreciation of drag culture, as well as gifted unto the world such truly inspired queens as Trixie Mattel, Bianca Del Rio and Alaska Thunderf*ck 5000. In 2017, RuPaul's Drag Race leapt to VH1 and also off of the screen via the Werq the World tour. That larger-than-life spectacle proved to be a hit, running for years and also paving the way for RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! in Las Vegas, starring show alumni Yvie Oddly, Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Derrick Barry, the Pit Crew and many more.

Have been to numerous Drag shows over the years. Even owned a bar and put on shows, this show is absolutely amazing we have seen these performers on TV but that is a tv show. This showcases exactly why these performers were chosen for the show. This is a must see show when you are in Vegas. You will not regret it if you are a fan of drag or just a fan of an amazing show

The show was OK we did not understand all the words. The microphone was not wonderful. It was not as good as the shows I had seen before.

Nice show but I thought it was much better. It is not a show that I ll come back to watch. I m fan of Rupaul’s Drag Race but this show is not up to the standard of Rupaul’s Drag Race.

  • Entertaining and attention grabbing performances all around.

Each of the queens that perform did a phenomenal job as the artist they were impersonating.

First time going to the show and I must say I will do it again! We had a great experience getting to the venue and once there it was easy and everyone was very professional. The show was fantastic, very well done! Wished RuPaul had been there, however Jimbo did a wonderful job and the performances were top notch! Fun crowd there too.

Definitely one of the best shows in herstory ā£ļøšŸ˜»šŸ‘šŸ¤— the portrayal of characters was amazing and Jimbo as Joan Rivers was fantastic!

  • It was okay

by DPAC frequent flyer on 9/3/25DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 3 out of 5

It was an okay show. The lip syncing wasn’t the best I’ve seen and the performances were just meh. The energy and enthusiasm was really fun though. Probably over-priced but was a fun time with friends.

  • Lots of fun

by Debekus on 8/31/25Flamingo Showroom at Flamingo Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I got tix to this because my wife loves her some RuPaul. We had a booth down front right at the catwalk so great views of the screens and the live and enjoyable table mates. It was a great show - enjoyed the cut ins with RuPaul on the screen. We ended up with Asia sending free drinks for our table. It was great fun and we'll go again when we're in Vegas. I would recommend the show for anyone who is looking for a fun 90 minutes or so. We are a LGBTQ couple in our 70s - spread your wings.

We came to see the show after watching the series for 5 years. It did not disappoint. Pay the extra money for the good seats because in this theatre it matters.i was glad we were upfront. The Pit Crew stole the show!!

  • Hilarious!

by ScoutMama on 8/24/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

This was a fantastic show! Laughed, danced, sang. The performers were amazing. I took off a star because 1 - too many strobe lights. It was overboard. 2 - the light/camera crew was less than stellar. Too many times our stars were not in the spotlight or the tv on the side was out of focus, not on or not where it should be.

  • Better with a little more werq

by MichelleT on 8/24/25The Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I loved the show, most of the queens brought so much energy- but you could tell some still needed to learn the words to their lip syncs and another that I was excited to see just looked bored to be there. Watching the show on TV, I liked Daya Betty but they have never been my absolute favourite- until now. This queen stole the show with their Gaga performance along with some comedic moments from Jaida. Overall I gave the show a 3 because the tech really needs some work. This show is all about lip syncing and we couldn’t see the queens’ faces on the monitors for the first minute or so of every performance- this is pretty crucial (sometimes the feed was also pretty blurry/ out of focus or only pointed at one queen the whole time when the performance was a duo). Spotlights were also off/ not following with some queens changing their mark and jumping in to the light- overall everything just needs tightening up to be worthy of a 5.

My Favorite is Miss Vangie and Jimbo, but they all are fabulous 🤩. I've been to Drag Race live in Vegas, Werq the World was even more incredible. If you love watching Drag Race this will blow your mind šŸŽŠšŸŽ‰ā¤ļø
