The “Rumors” were not true….
by ACesare on 8/9/23This was the first time I’d seen Rumours perform. It will be my last, I’d heard positive reviews from other people and was excited to see them , as I’m a big Fleetwood Mac fan. First of all, a few of the members played their own original music as an opener, delaying the actual show by an hour. Honestly, they were off-key and we didn’t enjoy the music. Once the full band got on stage they played some Fleetwood Mac covers, but also played their own music in between. I was not impressed as this was billed as a tribute band ! I didn’t pay to see a cover band play their own unimpressive music. I paid to see them perform Fleetwood Mac‘s greatest hits. Also, I have to mention that the general admission standing arrangement was a hot mess. We had arrived 45 minutes early to secure a spot on the floor where we could see the band. When members of our party left to go to the bathroom or get a drink, we were told that we could not get back down to our other friends on the floor, where we had been standing all evening. The security guard told us we had to wait in line behind 100 people who are waiting to get down there too! That made no sense, was not communicated to us and was quite infuriating! This also detracted from my enjoyment of the evening. I see shows often at various venues around Atlanta and have never experienced anything as disappointing as this. On a positive note, the bar staff was excellent!
