    A day to remember!

by Papa on 11/8/22Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

We took our granddaughter to the Royal as a 13th birthday special day. We went to the Horse championship Jumping in the stadium and walked the isles of vendors. She loved it!

    Always fun

    by Lynn-Marie on 11/8/22Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

It was great being back at the royal. I love seeing the cows and horses. Had a good time at the super dog show and shopping. We stayed for the 7pm shows. A little sad we didnt get to see any of the hitch horses (4 or 6 groups). The rcmp musical ride was amazing.

    Such a great event!

by Danielle on 11/13/19Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The Royal Winter Fair Rodeo is an amazing event that I have personally attended for the past 4 years. The fair has great vendors and is a perfect way to spend your morning waiting for the rodeo to start. The show is great and the anouncers explain how each event works.

    Event itself was wonderful

    by L. V. on 11/12/19Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Did not appreciate that despite buying tickets early, the best seats available were mediocre compared to previous years. Just prior to the event a “ new block” of tickets were released , and the seats were significantly better than what I purchased. Not impressed.

Difficulty getting to our seats at the Coca Cola arena

by Paul on 11/11/19Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Had to follow a torturous path from the arena entrance gate to our seats. Required us to walk through two rows of seats already occupied to get to our seats. There should have been a more direct route.

Wonderful day spent enjoying the entertainment

by no arc on 11/10/19Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Excellent day enjoying the entertainment available, lots of beautiful horses, shopping and farm animals to feed as well. Would of liked to understand a little more of the auctioning of the cows. The horse show was amazing, enjoyed afternoon competition and then the evening competition was fantastic, however due to the length of the jumping we had to leave during the jump off in order to catch our train on time. Never did find out the winner. The tribute to Ian Millar was incredible, I was glad I was there for that as I watched him for years compete. Well deserved recognition for a gentle giant of the sport. Would return again..

    An absolutely wonderful time

    The show was great but...

    by D. J. on 11/5/19Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The Horse Show was great as always. The two jumping events were both beautiful and exciting to watch. The RCMP Musical Ride was the main reason that we wanted to go. That alone was well-worth the price. Appearing for the first time at the Royal in 10 years, they brought back memories of earlier times. Unfortunately the parking situation at the site approaches total chaos. My wife and I are in our 60's and 70's so the underground lot at the Enercare Center was our target destination. Although we arrived just after noon, we were unable to get in that lot despite vehicles observed leaving. We were forced by barricades to seek parking through the entrance at the western end of Exhibition Place(far removed from the event). Even then we were told that the only available spaces were at Ontario Place.. Because that meant heading back to to the eastern end of the site, we decided to try the Enercare Center again. This time they seemed more organized and had a counting system for exiting vehicles, so over one hour after arriving at the site we finally had a chance at a spot. I have to wonder how many families and seniors simply gave upand went home.

    Excellent showmanship

by Norah on 11/5/19Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

Majestic animals, groomed beautifully, riders / handlers expertly displaying the influence of talented riders. The team horse events were a respectful testament to the love of cultures past. Beautiful carts and wagons and impressive horse breeds created an awesome experience.

    Show was amazing

by Animallover on 11/5/19Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

The Royal was awesome as always! The will call ticket system used now to pick up tickets is very broken. The idea of will call is to purchase tickets on line, briefly stand in line to show proof of purchase/id and pick up your tickets, not wait 20 to 25 min in line. It took far too long to pick up our tickets. I will likely not purchase tickets using tickemaster will call system again if this system continues to be used. It is very inefficient and frustrating.

    The Royal

The Royal was wonderful! However, the getting into the Coliseum to watch the horse events was a slow challenge!

    Royal Horse Show Friday night

by Skyppy on 11/10/13Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

Amazing as the horses were, the show was far too long. The awards, unless one is part of the inner circle of donors and sponsors, is tedious. The four hours could easily be cut to 2 1/2. The horses, all of them, were first rate. The judging, as always, seemed skewed with teams or horses not performinig their best scoring higher than those that did (except fo the jumping where objectivity is applied.

    Royal Winter Fair

by Mautems on 11/15/11Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

Yes Virgina, Once a year the country comes to the city. Toronto's 89th Royal Winter Fair Horse Show ended on an interesting note. Wonderfully designed Grand Prix jumps with plenty of oohs and ahhs for the crowd. But, the show has so much more. Huge draft horses dolled up in immaculate harnesses. Tough and fast roadster ponies, and elegant antique carriages, complete with topped hatted grooms and drivers., and live coaching horns calling to each other. The best ever aspect of down home fun, seeing teeny tiny miniature horses four in hand racing other teams with full grown adults driving chuck wagons. The last night of the show is always the glamor night for people watching too. Bring them all back for the 90th.

    Great variety. Lots of fun!.

by BarrieGrandpa on 11/15/11Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

We like this final Saturday afternoon show we come every year. A bonus is that it doesn't have any aging hockey players who can't ride. One thing that would really enhance this show, and all others, would be a decent scoreboard showing all the contestants and their rankings and any penalties being carried over from previous rounds. Heaven forbid that Ricoh get a modern score board! As usual there were no drinks available inside the arena so getting ice cream and a drink is a two phase operation that requires leaving the arena. Then Pizza Pizza tries to rip you off $4.00 for a 591ml Coke so one is forced on principle to walk out into the Direct Energy Centre to buy the drinks.
