Horse Show is the Highlight
by Anonymous on 11/14/11Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoThere is something for everyone here and one does not need to be a knowledgeable on horses or agriculture to enjoy this fair. It is distinctly Canadian which makes this an ideal experience for out of town tourists. There is a lot to see for the admission price including horse performances during the day. The premises are kept clean and relatively odor free. The Market area had a variety of theme related products at reasonable prices. I did not feel taken advantage of (except for the price of a bottle of water). There was only one disappointment - the Hitching Ring Cafe advertises that we will " relax and watch horses from around the world warm up.." Not one horse showed up while we were there - we ordered more than we would have because we waited and waited. The restaurant said that they have no control over this - which may well be true but then, their advertising should not imply that they do. If I had it to do over again, I would not go to this Cafe and have spent my money grabbing a snack and buying a souvenir T-Shirt
