    A great evening!

by fansfrombklyn2 on 3/26/12St. George Theatre - Staten Island

We knew the evening would be special when we entered the beautifully Rococo lobby of the St. George Theater and saw the Richmond County bagpipers ready to perform. They were a nice welcome for Ronan Tynan, the Irish tenor with the booming voice. He sang a lovely selection of ballads accompanied by Billy Lewis on the piano. Mr. Lewis himself, has quite a beautiful voice and harmonized with Mr. Tynans on many of the songs, as well as sang a little known Irving Berlin melody about Aesop, the able fable man. After Mr. Tynan's set, Judy Collins performed many favorites while bantering about her youth and how she got to where she is today. She could still hit the high notes and her voice got stronger as her set went on.

    Ronan outstanding

by RydLLL on 3/26/12St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Enjoyed listening to Ronan. Could have listened even longer. Enjoyed stories introducing songs. Seemed comments were more spontaneous than in other of his concerts we attended. Very gracious and personable in offering to stay and sign purchases and momentos and meeting guests afterwards. Judy Collins a bit high pitched and shrieky in tone. But stories are entertaining. Pipers were seemingly rehearsing in hall, and we were all looking forward to them marching in at some point. But that never happened. If they were not part of the show, it was a tease to have them there. Would have hung around to listen to them if we had known we wouldn't see them later.

by judibud on 4/26/11Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - Atlantic City

We had a wonderful time . Ronan's song selection was outstanding. We really enjoyed the orchestra, particularly the main cadre of musicians. Ronan was also kind enough to sign CD's and memorabilia for his fans after the show. In addition your staff at the Box Office was superb. Really NICE people. Kudos. It was a memorable night. I'd love to see him at your venue again.

Ronan Tynan was absolutely wonderful - I didn't realize he was such a showman - told some jokes, shred some stories and gave alot of background about the songs he sang.

    Tynan was forgetable

by RafasMom on 4/25/11Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - Atlantic City

The venue & staff was great! The show - exactly what one would find in a cruise ship lounge. If you know the act & WANT to see it, then you think it's great. But, for everyone else, it's just another act. I will say he puts his heart & soul into his songs and there is variety with three other unknown singers. Additionally, the 6 key musicians are worth the fee & the back-up orchestra pulled off one practice very well.

    Best Ronan show EVER!!!

by capecodredsoxgirl on 4/1/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I have been to numerous Ronan Tynan shows and cruises and the was truly the best one ever. Ronan's voice was superb and his contact with the audience and the other performers was unbelievable. It was like having being at home with the performers. The firemen were great, especially Jimmy Hoar and the guitar player (sorry, I can't remember his name). Ronan seemed like he was having the time of his life and it crossed over to the audience. Bugsy, Bill and Jimmy were great as always. More Ronan like this, especially in Boston. It looks like Ronan has found a new home!! It really was wonderful. I brought 8 family members with me as a Christmas gift and they were all blown away as well!

Ronan put on another great show. I could listen to him all day. He has so much energy and he is so funny. So glad to have him in Boston. Would love to see him at Fenway and the Pops concert for the 4th. Nobody sings God Bless America like him.

    A Great Irish Tenor

by edzoball on 3/30/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

With booming notes one minute and soft melotones the next, Ronan Tynan is THE BEST Irish tenor ever. Each song he delivered was truely heart felt and his accompaning band were amazing.

Several of the songs gave me the chills. Very powerful and sung with a lot of emotion. I also like the fact that Ronan spends some time talking to his audience and familiarizing them a bit more with his amazing life.

Ronan Tynan was a total delight.

    by stollie2 on 3/29/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I bought the tickets for my husband because he likes Irish music. It turns out that I think I enjoyed the concert even more than my husband. Ronan's show was so engaging and the his vocials are superb. His stories, his jokes and the way he embraced his band and the audience was heartfelt. Boston is the luckiest city to have Ronan Tynan call it home. I will never miss a live performance and a special thanks to all the firefights that appear that evening. The guirtarist really rocked out. I also loved the piano player I would love a CD of his music. The whole afternoon/evening was a great experience. Thanks Ronan for making it happen.

Kind hearted man with a giant soul

by Sweelah on 3/29/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Ronan Tynan was a phenomenal performer. His voice with all of the different notes that he could sing was amazing. The songs he chose to sing were heart warming, tear jerking, and spirited. He has a gift not only for singing but for bringing joy to others. He praised the police officers and firefighters for their dedication to protecting us as he shared the stage with talented individuals from both departments. Ronan's genuine interest in the gifts that others have to offer is what shone through at his performance at the Wilbur Theater. He is humble man with a great sense of humor, who is passionate about his work. We are happy to have his wonderful presence in Boston.

    Ronan is amazing

by SweetAndrea on 3/29/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

This show blew me away. I have seen him twice before and he was great both times but this show was just amazing. His powerful voice singing "Allelujah, Into the Fire and the new song written by Jimmy Kelly all brought me to tears. I LOVED that he had the Boston fire dept. acapella band sing with him. I will continue to see him in concert every chance I get. Awesome show.

Great show. Much better than I expected. Ronan appeared to enjoy his singing. He really wanted to be there. I liked the tribute to the Fire Department and having them sing. The concert was over three hours and I hated to have it end.

    Welcome to Boston

    by Buddy102 on 3/29/11Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Your great personal approach to good music and local talent was fantastic. The Firefighters was a nice touch. Your recognition of the work they do was respectful. The true beauty added by Mrs Wells was the best. ... The music selections were excellent. The talent behind you, (all the band members) an amazing mix. Fantastic talents.
