The show was wonderful! It was good to relax and have a fun time. The atmosphere was fun and everyone relaxed. It is good to have fun without worrying who is there! All the performances were spectacular
My first time seeing Ron Isley live and he was awesome! he sang every song imagined he was great! Erykah just blew my socks off, that chick is talented beyond her years. I have follwed her music for years but I have a new appreciation for her. I love Chrisette Michelle but I was disappointed that she didn't have a band, but her vocals were great! and I always enjoy the comedy of Rickey smiley! Great show!!!!!!
the event started late and there was too much time spent between each act to set up - between the 1st two acts there was an hour wasted ---- the MC was awful - those were not jokes - the 1st two acts could have been eliminated - Ron Isley was the show and he was entertaining - He gave us his all
Over all the concert was really good....Nothing was done in a timely matter. The show started about 730/745..scheduled for 700...the second performer took about an hour to come out...and still did not sing enough songs!!! Ron sat down most of the show. I know that he is up in age, but if you are going to put on a show, you should move about the stage.
I really enjoyed the show hopefully the BJCC will have another one soon!!!!!!
Great show overall! Love Ron Isley! VERY LONG CONCERT, but I enjoyed every minute!
As far as the concert as a whole it was average. The venue was nice but I was a little displeased with the organization of the event. The show didn't start on time and the host filled in the time by telling corny jokes. As far as the artist Chrisette Michelle was ok but I was expecting to see a show with her band and background singers but she was solo on stage just her and her mic. Don't get me wrong she sounded great but I was expecting more of a show from her. Now Erykah Badu was simply amazing!!! She kills it with that beat machine.
the concert was just ok for me it was not out standing at all Erykah badu sung her songs but she didn't do the main songs from her latest album and people were talking about in the lobby very badly. the Host (rickey Smiley was awsome. C. Michelle was boring and people were walking and talking as if she wasn't even there it was sad oh interesting people were of here. and Ms badu didnt do enough songs and then she rushed the last two of here songs i know we are just Birmingham , al and not New York city or some other large state but people still paid alot for sits and drove from afar to see a good concert i didnt stay for the last performer R. Isley becasue i had had enough and he just ins't my top interest of music,. so i left.

This was an AWESOME show...Rickey Smiley, Chrisette Michele, Erykah Badu and Ron Isley...what a combination! Would have liked to see Chrisette Michele with a full band...looking forward to a concert with her in the near future.
Only 3 artist performed at this event and when I left at 12 the last artist was just getting into the swing of things. First off, the event started late (almost an hr before it was officially called to order). Secondly, the performances were good but the band changes made the show wayyy longer than it need to be which made the MC stalling even more annoying. Overall, I was pleased with the line up, but organizers need to do a better job of starting on time and the band changes.
I enjoyed this concert thoroughly. I wish Ron Isley would have been in the middle as opposed to the end of the concert, because Eryka Badu really shut the concert down.
Badu was the best performance out of the 3. She was GREAT! Ron Isley will always be a legend. But, I think its time to give up concert performance.
