This concert was Great!!!!!!!!!!!! All of the artist sounded like the album. The only thing I have to complain about is that Erykah didn't do window seat but other than that everything else was Great. They had the right person to host the show Ricky Smiley kept us entertained while the stage was being changed from artist to artist. I was worth every dime that I spent for my tickets........

    Erykah is a true artist

by MrsTyus on 3/30/11BJCC Arena - Birmingham

It was an Erykah show...she is a true entertainer. I went to see her and she did great and is very unique and funny! Ron Isley did great as well, but you can tell he is not an entertainer anymore because he sat down and sang, however, he sung for a long time.

    I had a great time!!!

    by LM27 on 3/29/11BJCC Arena - Birmingham

I had a great time. I lost my voice from rapping, singing, and dancing so hard!! I loved Ron Isley and Erykah Badu the most. Chrisette Michele did a good job but I was not happy about her short time on stage and I was not thrilled about her wild hair and outfit looked like she just threw it together 5 minutes before it was time to go on stage. She just looked like she wasn't doing well at all.

Icons and Legends Music Festival Ft. Ron Isley and

    by 16SH on 3/29/11BJCC Arena - Birmingham

I have mixed feelings about the concert. Because I haven't been to a concert in a very long time. Therefore, I was a little disappointed that it took Erykah Badu 30 minutes before coming out on the stage. I didn't know if the event was planned that way or not. Also, I was not happy that Erykah Badu....song everybody else songs but her own and when she sung "Call Tyrone" is was just because she still had 3 more minutes to perform for the audience. What a bummer! Whatever happen to...."Can I Get a Window Seat!..." Overall, I felt that Ron Isley done an exceptional job....He did sing all of his greatest hits! Ron Isley you ROCKED!

    Great Artists

by WCTC on 3/29/11BJCC Arena - Birmingham

Concert was great; however, there needs to be better time management. Concert was supposed to start at 7:00 pm; however, it did not start until 7:45 pm. Then, there was too much time used to entertain the audience between acts. By 12:00 am, Ron Isley was probably only halfway through his act. We left about 1215. Had enough by then. Did not see the rest of Ron's show. Badu was great too.

Erykah Badu puts on a great show!

    by Kristian31 on 3/29/11BJCC Arena - Birmingham

All the performers were great. Chrisette Michelle's vocals are out of this world, and so are Erykah Badu's. Ron Isley was also good, but I'm really into neo-soul more than anything. Ricky Smiley was an incredible host, and he and Erykah even gave the audience comic relief as we waitied on Ron Isley to come to the stage.

    Ron Isley was Awesome!!!

by SpiceyD on 3/28/11BJCC Arena - Icons and Legends Tour - Chrisette Michele, Erykah Badu, & Ron Isley - Birmingham

Ron Isley was great and sounded like the records. He wasn't able to reach some notes (not sure if he was sick or not) but other than that, you could sit back and turn back the hands of time...I loved it. He interacted with the audience and sang the songs his fans would like. I appreciate that and Mr. Isley made the concert for the Icons and Legends tour in BHAM, AL. Ms. Badu was way off in left field somewhere and was late coming to the stage. Her band played about 20 minutes before she appeared, but seemed like forever. She did sing a few of her other songs, went through the Tyrone song really fast, and was just singing whatever came to mind. Not my cup of tea and won't waste money to see her again in concert if this is what she does. Chrisette Michele was good. Ron's young son came out at the end and he is adorable. Wishing you all the best Ron! Stay on the path God has laid for you and don't get caught up so that you are locked away again. Thanks Rickey Smiley for doing your thing and keeping the crowd engaged. You kept it going and the jokes between you and Erykah were funny. Mr. Smiley's suit was quite bright and made the statement he wanted it to make. :)

    Erykah Badu

    by Vanessa007 on 3/28/11BJCC Arena - Birmingham

Concert was great. Erykah Badu did an awesome job, the band was off the chain. The only downfall was that the concert started late, about 1 hour late, so by the time Ron Isley was on his 5th song it was about midnite. Still a very good show-Ron Isley was great too.

The performance was exactly like it was on TV. A lot of lip singing. I pay less for my cable bill. . The comedian and the DJ should have gotten all the money,Thanks Ricky Smiley and Chris Coleman of 98.7 you all made it happen.

The event started almost an hour late and we waited for almost an hour between seeing chrisette and erykah. Ron Isley came out on stage close to 11pm. Way too late!!! Overall, I didn't enjoy the concert because majority of time was spent waiting!

Chrisette was and looks great. I wish she would have had a live band, but none the less she did her thing. Erykah showed her multi talents. She owned the house.Truly enjoyed her, wished she could have played longer. She was really gracious after her show to come back on stage and host with Ricky Smiley. I loved her mother jokes. Corney but funny. She had the crowd on their feet. I won't forget about her any time soon. Ron Isley, Ron Isley, truly is a legend. Mother said if you don't have any thing nice to say you shouldn't say anything at all.

Ronald Isley was the absolute greatest!!!

    by kuriositee39 on 3/28/11BJCC Arena - Birmingham

I rated amazing, simply because of Ronald Isley. Chrisette Michelle, opened but she did a fabulous job. Ronald delivered the best show for the people. He sang "everything" everyone wanted to hear from his own career, the Isley Brothers, and Mr. Biggs. He will always be remembered for the performance. Erykah Badu, on the other hand, was a disappointment. There were people like myself that had waited her entire career to see her. She did not do some favorites such as, "Bag lady" or her newest release, 'Window seat" and did a rush job on the one song the everyone was there to hear her perform, "Tyrone". I was terribly upset. She wasted time doing songs by other artists, when she should have been doing her own songs. I will not pay to see her again. I am so glad that Ronald Isley was there to make it worth the money I spent and the distance that I traveled.

The Vocal prowess of Chrissette Michelle was amazing! Erykah Badu added an extraordinary performance to her amazing vocals and Ricky Smiley (The Host) had my sides hurting with his comedic genius.

Best time had. Very grown and sexy time. Mr. Isley was great, Chrisette sounded wonderful, and Erykah was fabulous. She is so down to earth and the show was overall amazing. Not to mention that Rickey Smiley is always hillarious.
