Roger Hodgson, formerly of Supertramp, has been recognized as one of the most gifted songwriters and lyricists of our time. As the legendary composer of many of the band’s greatest hits, he gave us “Give a Little Bit,” “The Logical Song,” “Dreamer,” “Take the Long Way Home,” “Breakfast in America,” “It’s Raining Again,” “School,” “Fool’s Overture” and so many others that have become the soundtrack of our lives and helped his former band sell well over 60 million albums.
Hodgson continues to tour extensively worldwide performing not only his classics, but also material from his solo albums.

Pac Am... Excellent show. Great set list. Fantastic timeless tunes.
Excellent show ! The song list was great with all the hits and many deep tracks ! Great lighting. The only thing that could have been better if he played with an orchestra, which Roger has done in the past. 70s rock at its best !
Very Good Concert, Rodger can still sing all the songs, and Band preformed Great!
Loved the show and Roger was truly a gracious entertainer. Supertramp songs he wrote are the best!
The Roger and the band were very good. Roger's stories were interesting and didn't take up a lot of time. Al Steward opened and was entertaining.
I grew up listening to Supertramp and I was so happy to see that Roger Hodgson was playing locally. I would most definitely see him again if he comes back to Orange County. Thanks for the wonderful show - wish you could have played longer!
Fantastic show! Very outgoing and personal. Hasn't lost a thing.
This is the 3rd time I have seen Roger and he is as amazing as ever. Like Brian Wilson, he is a true musician and singer/songwriter. He is the operational definition of "classy". He performed for almost 2 hours, playing most of the crowdpleasers he has written and long performed with Supertramp before going solo. The crowd at the Pacific Amphitheater in Costa Mesa apparently loved the performance, based on the cheers and applause, in a near sellout. "Hide In Your Shell" is worth the price of admission alone. He played nearly 20 songs, many of which are fairly long, such as "Fools Overture". Had to drive about 75 miles to see him, but it was well worth it.
All I can say is the love displayed between the fans and the performer was on full display. Just incredible, I would go 100 times again. We all need a positive boost from each other like this, together, more often. Changes our perspective, just beautiful, beyond words!!!
This was my first time seeing Supertramp. Saw him at the Pacific Amphitheater. Roger’s voice is still incredible! Wow. The entire show was unforgettable. I would love to see him again in the near future!
Storytelling, song writing and performing by a single individual are rarely in sync now-a-days. Perhaps just as important is Rogers humble nature and audience sensitivity. If you’re searching for an evening with a “buddy” you’ve never met, grab your significant other and go!
I really enjoyed the concert and Roger's voice. I wish it were louder though.
Most of his better songs. Excellent sound (for and open theater). He’s also a skillful showman.
Both artists were absolutely fabulous. Rodger was incredibly heartfelt in his talking with the audience as well as the passion in his singing. You could tell he truly enjoyed it. The songs he chose were wonderful and would love to see him again and again.
Being in my 50’s I surrendered the prospect that I would never get to see Supertramp/Hodgson as they didn’t tour at all. I am so very grateful to my son who happened to see that he would be touring right when we happened to be in S. Cal. It was worth the 400 mile drive! His voice is still excellent, not really changed after all the decades gone by. He seemed to genuinely love and appreciate the fans. He and his band sounded great together. Don’t miss the opportunity to see him!
It was a pleasure to see Roger Hodgson perform. I saw Supertramp back in '83 right before Roger left the band. As much as I like Rick Davies, I always felt Roger to be the heart of the band, and that was certainly on display at his show at Pacific Ampitheater. Roger is a genuine, humble man with huge talent and heart.
I am a unabashed Supertramp & Roger Hodgson fan from album #1. I didn't realize how much of a fan I was until I went to my high school reunion and three people said, "Oh, you were the Supertramp fan". Yes, I must have been that guy. A walking billboard for their "Crime of the Century" album. It really did collide with me in a Big way. I saw Supertramp on their first US tour and was blown away. Last night was no exception. An incredible evening under the stars in OC at a fantastic venue. The music just soared in that way that only Roger's music can. He played most of the bigger hits (Not "Bloody Well Right" surprisingly) but there are so many great songs. Also some deeper and later cuts, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Roger was so warm and inviting in talking about his music and the fans appreciation of it all of these years. Great group of fans gathered there, except for a few knuckleheads. The person that can't stop talking (and It's not even about the band or the show), and the drunken knuckleheads who yell out "Dreamer" repeatedly. One of the drunken women that was making a fool of herself was I think related to the base player who was from OC. She needs to be leashed. Other then that it was an amazing event that was part of my birthday celebration and fulfilled my every hope. Do Not Miss This Show!
Roger Hodgson still has the voice and the passion to take us down memory lane with his fantastic collection of songs. His band was equally impressive as they re-created that unique Supertramp sound.
Ok, so, with the exception of "Bloody well right" and "Another man's woman". , he played all the great stuff- a pleasure to hear. While at 68 years old, his voice is not what it once was, it was MORE than adequate. I would like to have seen some back up vocalists to help with those famous harmonies. He was personable, funny and amiable. In short, the evening was at least as good, or better, than I had hoped. Definitely recommended.
What a show! As always Roger put on a perfect performance. I’m in awe everytime, it’s amazing.
