One of the best shows ever. Incredibly talented artist!
Being the third time that we've seen Roger, we pretty much knew what a wonderful night we were in store for. With such a treasure chest of great music, he could have gone on all night, and he practically did !! He has such an excellent cast of musicians backing him up, it just made for such a memorable evening. Al Stewart opened up for Roger, and did a great show as well. Refreshing to actually here each and every word pronounced so that you could here them clear as a bell. A rarity in this day and age. Just a wonderful tandem of entertainment, and may I say, a great "Bang for the Buck" seeing them @ the O.C. Pacific Amphitheater. All in all, a wonderful night to have spent under the stars..
I've seen supertramp many times when Rodger was with them and all I can say is he is supertramp.,
Love the man’s passion on stage, love reliving the great songs we grew up with! Will not miss his show when he is back in the area!!!
I went to see the warm up band Al Stewart, Roger Hodgson was an afterthought. Stewart was excellent but was a little disappointed with the short set, without keyboards. Have never seen Hodgson but was pleasantly surprised. The convienence and ticket value of the venue (OC Fair) was also very appealing.
Supertramp is a show not to be missed. You will not be disappointed. Buy your tickets now...
Roger Hodgson was awesome still sounds great always puts on a good show seven times seeing Him
Thanks roger for a wonderful evening. Great concert
been trying to see this guy for 7 years finally made it drove 418 miles to see him. one of my top 6 concerts of all time. Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Paul McCartney,Queen,Rodger Hodgson, Kiss in 75,.not sure what the order is had a great time though well worth the drive.
Great show by Supertramp’s heart and soul. What a gifted, thoughtful, talented man. His unique voice still sounds great and band playing with a lot of passion. Too bad fine people like Roger seem to the exception rather than the rule.
Roger Hodgson, of Supertramp Fame, wowed the Humphreys’s By The Bay crowd on Tuesday evening! 2 hours of magic as he and his band performed Supertramp favorites as well as his own solo material! He encouraged the sold out crowd to “get up & dance” & dance they did! He clearly was enjoying himself, and his upbeat manner was infectious as the crowd responded with several standing ovations! Great time was had by all!
Awesome show!!! Roger really had his heart into it. He was very emotional playing for his hometown and he put his heart in it. He is a good dude!!!
Great to see Roger up on the stage and singing with passion. Probably enjoyed the old songs more than the new ones, but even my wife, who was a drafted companion for the show, wound up having a great time. Everyone in the band seemed to be spot on and having a fun time!
I love Supertramp !! He sang so brilliantly I actually cried at one point - thank you Roger for an amazing evening!
I saw Roger about 6 years ago at Humphrey's too. His voice is still amazing, but what sets him apart, besides his phenomenal music, is his character. Roger is SO personable, kind and amazingly grateful. The other night he had many family and friends attending the concert and before many songs would say their name and tell them how much they meant to him. It was very special from a man who has a big heart and not full of himself like so many entertainers. The sound was amazing too. If you ever get a chance, don't miss Roger.
Roger is a gift from heaven If you have an opportunity to see him, just do it
This was a great show for fans of Supertramp. My first time seeing Roger in concert and he was very entertaining. He can still hit the high notes. The new band members bring it up to the original standards. Great night at a great intimate venue...Bergen PAC!
Excellent show! Brought me back to my youth. Mr. Hodgson was very appreciative to his audience for coming out and sharing the evening with him. A good time had by all.
Though I have listened to Supertramp for over 40 (!) years, I didn't know the name Roger Hodgson until I heard a a brief interview. But then I realized that most of the songs I liked so much were his, so I got tickets to see him. The show was great, partly because the music is fantastic, but even more so because Roger is such a great guy. He connected with the audience in a way that I have never really experienced and I heard the songs in a new and different way. Go see this show!
From start to finish, Roger Hodgson's concert at Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ on July 18th was truly exceptional. He was personable, funny, engaging, and provided many, many outstanding moments throughout the evening. His band was also wonderfully well-rehearsed and yet relaxed. No show-boating, or unprofessionalism anywhere. Great sound as well. Roger's music is well-known, but the little subtle rhythm changes and nuances he incorporates into these well-known songs are surprising and refreshing. He pays attention to the smallest of details, yet never loses sight of the big picture. It was not only entertaining, it was moving, sweet, intelligent, and thoughtful. One is caught off-guard by the tremendous wealth of material he has, his ease in presenting it, and the relevance of this material a full 20 years after it was written! All I can say is Bravo! I drove two hours to get there and would have done this again the following night! I recommend this concert with a full five stars without hesitation. Thank you Roger, this was definitely one of the greatest evenings I have had in a very long time!
