Rodney Carrington on Tour
One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.
Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. With signature songs like "Just One Beer," "Wish She Would Have Left Quicker" and "Put Your Clothes Back On," he proves that some jokes just go better when combined with the twang and swagger of a country tune.
In addition to being one of America's Top 10 highest-grossing comedians, Carrington headlined his own ABC sitcom with Rodney and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses. In 2017, his special Here Comes The Truth brought his blue-collar brand of stand-up and musical comedy to Netflix. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.
Rodney Carrington Background
Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.
After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."
Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.
He was really funny. He was probably offensive to some but that is what comedy is about. If u can’t handle it you shouldn’t go to a see a comedian with NO filter.
Entertaining and funny. Wish his material was a little more clean. Nice voice. Incorporating singing with jokes was novel.
Great show, no bad seats. Would definitely go and see another show of Rodney’s
Rodney Carrington is a master talent and did an amazing show! I hope he comes back to Elkhart soon!!
FILTH! AND I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! As someone who has been listening to Rodney since I was a kid in the backseat with parents who listened to Bob and Tom, I was more than thrilled to take my husband to see this show! By far one of the best comedians I've ever seen in person. We went, we laughed, we were home by 10pm and had time to watch TV before bed 😂😉
He's freaking hilarious!! So was his opening act, Matt Taylor!! Definitely recommend and would totally go see them again!!! Venue was nice too, easy to find and get in and nice and cool temperature inside so didn't get all hot and sweaty, seating kind of close but not bad, comfyish seats, bottoms padded anyways. Would go to other events there.. Great Night!
I laughed so hard and had such an amazing night out with my husband. I couldn't have asked for a better show.
Always have had the best time and never leave disappointed. To have such a large crowd and every single person is smiling, laughing and enjoying themselves all at the same time gives credit to Rodney Carrington to be able to carry a crowd and have humor that makes all types of people come together and be one for a night of pure enjoyment. Thank you Ameristar for having him back!
He had us rolling the entire time he performed. He's quick on his feet and very witty. I'm glad we went.
The concert was great. The venue was very accommodating but smaller than a huge concert or larger venue but that made for a more enjoyable experience. I have seen this performer many times before and it didn't disappoint. Crowd had great vibes which made the comedy show that much better. Thanks to the donors and the opportunity to attend.
Rodney is a funny adult comedian , laughed till it hurt
Love seeing Rodney! He never disappoints if you ask me! I’ve seen him 8 times and exh show is full of fun and Leigh’s!
A very good show, and one of his best performances
Always funny and always relatable! We loved he shared his thoughts on Toby Keith’s passing- such fans of both of them!
Show was over the.top funny!! I've always wanted to see him live and was well worth it.
His skits were so great! He cracks these country folks UP , we can all relate to him. A little disappointed he didn't come out n party afterwards like he said!
My husband and I had the best time. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Given the chance we will go see him again.
We went with another couple and we laughed until our sides hurt. Worth the money!!
Seats were folding chairs that did not allow enough room next to each other. I was leaning forward the whole show so that I wasn't rubbing arms and shoulders with the lady next to me.
Rodney was hilarious from the time he stepped on stage till the time he said goodnight. The venue was great, not a bad seat in the house
