About

Rodney Carrington on Tour

One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.

Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. With signature songs like "Just One Beer," "Wish She Would Have Left Quicker" and "Put Your Clothes Back On," he proves that some jokes just go better when combined with the twang and swagger of a country tune.

In addition to being one of America's Top 10 highest-grossing comedians, Carrington headlined his own ABC sitcom with Rodney and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses. In 2017, his special Here Comes The Truth brought his blue-collar brand of stand-up and musical comedy to Netflix. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.

Rodney Carrington Background

Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.

After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."

Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.

Great concert for my husband and I. Sadly my husband and I could relate to a lot of his jokes. It'll give us something to talk about for days. Of course we had to go buy Beer for My Horses and watch it the next day, ha ha ha.

I was laughing so hard that I cried. The opening comedian was funny, too. Some of the jokes were from his CDs and were older material but there was some new as well.

  • Rodney We Love You!!

I hope he comes back to Topeka or somewhere nearby very soon, my boyfriend absolutely loves Rodney watches his video at least twice a week. He is on deployment right now and comes home in October so yes unfortunately he did not get to go to the show :( he was very disappointed his favorite comes to town of all times. We can't wait for more DVD's to come out, by the way he can do the Rodney dance perfectly, only disappointment I had for the evening is what happened to the chicken song? It was a great show and well worth the money!

  • Freaking hilarious

Rodney Carrington finally visited Topeka, KS. There was a weak opening act, who had some good moments, but the man of the night was Rodney. This show was even better than his Comedy Central special! Even tho there was a heckler in the audience who thought he was being cute (was annoying), Rodney totally delivered with his wit, facial expressions, and classic songs. If you want a good, laugh out loud adult comedy show, Rodney is not to be missed!

Tickets were very cheap for the quality of show I received. Very funny, nice comedian. Rodney tells it like he sees it from everyday living to life changing events, definitely unlike any other comedian out there. I would recommend seeing him to anyone and will go again!

We had a great time at the show. He is a very funny man. Haven't laughed so much in quite some time. My only complaint was that the show seemed to end too soon. Hate it when a good time comes to an end! Would definitely recommend going to see Rodney Carrington. Especially if you are needing a good laugh!

Saw Rodney in Topeka, KS last night. In addition to being a great comedian, I believe he has one of the best voices in Country Music. His delivery of the lyrics could almost break your heart --right up until the moment the song shifts gears and you start to cry because you are laughing so hard! (OK, "Show Them to Me" and "Titties & Beer" don't count-they're just funny.)
