I cant say enough good things about Rick Schuler. His look and sound were spot on. His personality and stoory telling were really great too. What a magical evening!
It was like being at a John Denver concert. His musical performance was outstanding. Rick is a great entertainer and knows intimate details about John Denver that he shares throughout the show.
What a voice! Never thought a cover artist could come so close to the real thing.
We were wanting John Denver music and he did not deliver. We left early it was so bad.
Rick Schuler does an amazing job keeping the music of John Denver alive and in our hearts. Thank you, Rick, for your tribute to John's music and legacy.
Rick is the consummate John Denver performer! I was blown away by his show and cant wait to see him again.
I went to the show to hear John Denver music. What I got was a bunch of sing a long Christmas songs. Very disappointed.
He talked too much about himself! I don’t care about his life, if he was sharing snippets about John Denver that would have been amazing. Too much name dropping too. Probably 20 minutes to 1/2 hour with tales about Rick. Would have been a 5 star without that!
When the singer spoke the microphone level was fine but when he sang his voice blasted and it was uncomfortable to listen to. More singing, less talking and maybe add some background singers or a band - I would pay more for that.
Rick is a great John Denver impersonator with a great voice. Didn't care much for the sing along Christmas songs. It would be nice to include some kind of pictures behind Rick of John Denver or mountains etc.
There wasn't enough Christmas music to advertise this as a John Denver Christmas show. Also not worth the $60 per ticket or the $40 per entry into the lounge.
Nice show, very positive vibe. John Denver had many great songs and this artist portrayed him well.
He’s good, not great. Enjoyable evening. Would be nice if he had some other musicians playing on stage instead of audio tracks.
We went to see a John Denver tribute, and what we saw was a man that looked a little bit like John Denver playing some John Denver songs, very capably, mixed in with some Christmas carols and a lot of his own work. Would have preferred it to be all John Denver music, but it was a nice evening out, it was priced right and the venue was perfect for it
I wasn't really sure what the show would entail, but the theme...John Denver and Christmas lived up to its name. Rick played John Denver songs as well as Christmas songs and the audience got to sing along. The concept was fun. Unfortunately, the sound was an issue as was some technical issues. On the first song, the guitar was not amplified. Should he have stopped and fixed this and restarted? Maybe. This should have been fixed in sound check. On a few songs with intricate guitar (he played well) the guitar was not quite in tune and this was awful for those of us with sensitive ears to music. He also used a combination of his guitar and an iphone for background on several songs. The iphone was way too loud and not balanced correctly. Overall, it was a fun night, but I would not go to see the show again. I liked his original music and his stories about being an archeologist. His voice was OK, but certainly not the timber of Denver.
Enjoyed it so. Rick was so lovely to talk to after the show. He really captured the feeling. I missed the round specs, though.
What an amazing evening! He had the look, the vocal sound, speaking voice and disposition of John Denver. There were times when he was singing there was no way to tell he wasn’t John Denver although he came across as authentically being himself. Nothing but praise for this performance & performer!!!
Rick was great and does a great job channeling John Denver, one of my favorites. Good voice, good representation of JD's singing. Most important -- the lack of a band and backup singers made for a cheap feel. Very cheap feel. I thought we paid enough so he'd have a least another guitar, a drummer, and one backup singer.
Rick was an awesome version of John Denver. Brought tears to my eyes during his song, Lady. I thought the stage could have used some help, being only one performer, along with some lighting design perhaps. But all in all Rick was great!
