    Cheesy fabulous fun!

by BB on 5/9/23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

What a fun night, Rock of Ages did not disappoint! The Elgin and Winter Theatre is definitely a more interactive venue than the other theatres on King - while this musical isn't really interactive, the cast certainly broke the 4th wall a few times (to great effect) and quickly incorporated the audience response back into the show. Set is well designed, and the singers, especially the male lead (Drew), are powerhouses. We were tapping our toes and singing along all night. Highly recommend for cheesy and fabulous 80s fun!

The vocalists in this show are completely & utterly insane!

by Daz on 5/2/23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

More than anything else, go and see this new Canadian cast & production for the amazing vocalists and sound of famous 80's rock songs. I'm not even a huge rock fan, but the music is sung so well that I was blown away. These are some of the best voices on any stage in Canada right now. Plus, the Elgin Theatre is gorgeous and the lighting at some parts make you feel like you're at a VERY expensive concert. OH and the actor who plays the smokin' hot Stacee Jaxx is gorgeous and walks around in pleather underwear & a harness most of the show. I'd go back just to see him again!

Great cast , good musicains and nice selection of music. Weak story line that to me did not flow. Was aitting 4 rows in front of the FOH engineer and the mix was sub standard. Truth be told if it was not for tjex2 for 1 sale would not have gone.

Excellent show!! It was amazing to share this experience with my Teens. We were all singing and dancing throughout the play. It was great to see a person from my hometown of Peterborough person play a lead roll.

    Must see!

by Jeff on 3/20/23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

The music, acting and dancing were just perfect! I wasn’t sure what to expect but was more than pleasantly surprised! There were many lead roles and each one carried their own! The only thing I was disappointed in was the sound…. Sometimes you could hear the glorious singers and other times the band was too loud. After the first half the group I was with all had the same complaints. We also heard several people in line discussing the same thing. We got back to our seats and continued talking about the sound issues when the people we were sitting behind turned around and said they thought they were the only ones who thought the sound had issues. We decided to go talk to the sound technicians at the back and they said to us ‘well not everything can be perfect! It is what it is!’ It’s too bad that such talent on stage can be affected by people who don’t know how or refuse to enhance the immense talent on stage. As a performer myself I know how frustrating it is to hand over your talent to sound people who have egos bigger than the sound boards themselves! Other then that you HAVE to go see this show! ❤️

    Best show ever

by FRU on 3/11/23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

The show was incredible. The actresses and actors are so prepared! It was a fantastic show!We laughed so much that we were crying The musicians were so talented as well.Loved seeing them on the stage as well. I would recommend to everyone who would like to have fun with some rock music. The teather staff was so kind to let us it forward because there were so empty seat.We really appreciated it! Our tickets were at the last row in the orchestra and at the end we set in the 10 row at the front.

This show is a great night out! The cheesiness can miss the mark now and then, but overall, be ready to see some extraordinary talent sing their faces off paired with top notch dance choreo. 4/5

    Amazing!

by LizC on 3/9/23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Went for a date night. As two people born in the 80’s, this show was a nostalgic ride. The actors were amazing (those high notes)! But the real stars were the band. Those guys know how to rip! Totally worth the go.

by Sean Fitzsimmons on 3/6/23Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Amazing show with great music, pity the sound wasnt as full as I was expecting, it sounded very flat. Some bass but definitely not enough for heavy 80s rock songs
