About

The international Irish dance phenomenon is back by popular demand in Riverdance - The 20th Anniversary Tour.

Drawing on Irish traditions, the combined talents of the performers propel Irish dancing and music into the present day, capturing the imagination of audiences across all ages and cultures in an innovative and exciting blend of dance, music and song.

Of all the performances to emerge from Ireland - in rock, music, theatre and film - nothing has carried the energy, the sensuality and the spectacle of Riverdance.

“The show is quite simply incredible. A phenomenon of historic proportions”

    Riverdance

by relb on 5/23/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Saw Lord of the Dance, live, years ago. So exceptional! And bought the Riverdance videos way back when too. So I was a bit disappointed with the "filler" (as I call it) w/ this current Riverdance performance. Too much (too long) singing, musical instruments playing. Not enough of the phonomenal dancing (which WAS great!) My friend thought the exact same thing. Also, thought it just lacked the Charisma.... Lead dancer was indeed a great dancer (as were all the dancers), but he didn't capture me w/ his persona. Just lacked it....

RiverDance Fresh and Energetic 25 Years On

by CJ on 5/23/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The show was everything I’d hoped it would be. The company of performers was so professional and crisply precise is their dancing, singing and musicality. I’m was a joy, except for some failings of the venue. There were about 100 patrons mulling around trying to find their seats for the first ten minutes of the performance. It was a failure of the house to get them seated by showtime. Very distracting and affected the enjoyment of the performance. Bad form.

It was great. I appreciated that at the end they gave tribute to Michael Flatley. He is missed.

    Over The Top!

by Norma Jean on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

I saw Riverdance in 2002 on Eugene, Oregon. It was great but this performance was over the top. I am a musician and i appreciate the art firm that was so well put together. Kudos to all the Riverdance team.

    Amazing Experience!! Must See!!

by Ridz on 5/22/23San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

I have always enjoyed the beauty of Riverdance since I was a young child and always knew it would be a bucket list item to see it live. Well, seeing it live did not disappoint! The dancers are beyond talented in how they move in such coordination and synchronization. It is truly unbelievable and beautiful to watch! I had goosebumps as soon as the lights dimmed, the music started playing and the dancers began their amazing performance! The one thing I would recommend is for this show to have LESS singing. The energy would be so electric and upbeat and then all of a sudden, singers would come out to sing a slow song. The songs were beautiful, do not get me wrong, but we really came to see Riverdance performed and the energy that was brought with the dance is what made the show truly amazing. The songs would really change the pace and energy of the show so it was a bit of a bore. Otherwise, I would 10000% RECOMMEND seeing Riverdance performed live! You will not want to miss this!

    Awesome dancers and musicians!!

by Marsha on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Absolutely loved the show!! 5 star!! Only problem was security, bar maids and people were walking in front of us through the entire performance! Why they have to serve drinks the whole time is beyond me. We paid a lot of money for the tickets. And Security constantly walked back and forth in front of us. Will never go to that venue again! It was a shame because the show was so great!

I brought my daughter and 6 yr old granddaughter. We LOVED the show! Right amount of time & great timing for intermission. I have always wanted to see River Dance. So happy I finally got to watch this fabulous show! The back drops were spectacular and the musicians so talented! Loved the trio competition!

Show was amazing! Venue not so much.

by neveragain@GSR on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The show and performers get 5 stars….it was fantastic and I was glad to finally see Riverdance in-person. The venue (Grand Sierra Resort in Reno) gets 1 star. We had tickets in the front row of the “mezzanine” that wasn’t really a mezzanine - it was basically on the same level as the rear of the orchestra seating. To make things worse, handicap accessible seating was at the rear of the orchestra. That would’ve been fine except their chairs were physically higher than the Theater seating, putting more than one head blocking our view of the stage. We couldn’t see much of the performance because of the poor layout of the venue. Definitely would see Riverdance again. Definitely will never see another show at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno.

Show was Mostly Great, Experience… room for improvement

by T H on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The Riverdance 25th Anniversary was a great show. The entrance experience at GSR left a lot to be desired as the line was extraordinarily long and slow moving due to the new bag policy and a crack down on carrying large bags into the venue. I had read the policy and planned ahead, but not everyone did. So the line was taking forever. I was surprised that our seats had obstructed viewing. I had never experienced that at GSR. I’m not sure if the extra black curtain was a Riverdance set or part of the GSR stage, but it made the viewing area of the stage smaller and we often couldn’t see things happening in the corner or wings of the stage.

    Great show...Bad audience

by dLA on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Riverdance is an excellent show but a large portion of the audience arrived after the show started which was annoying

    Riverdance was awesome! GSR frustrating

by T J on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Riverdance was amazing! the performance was fantastic. The venue was frustrating. They had varying policies on purses allowed in and seemed to treat people differently for some reason. They also turned off drinking fountains so you were forced to buy a $4 water. Dislike the venue policies and inconsistent application of their clear purse policy without being informed of the policy way in advance and many people did not know of this policy. I think they wanted to force some people (not all) to pay to have the ticket box hold the purse. Then during the intermission they just turn on lights but didn’t state it was intermission so some people left. 5 stars for riverdance, minus 1 for venue.

    Great show

by Martin on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

Great show. Great performers with tons of energy and excitement. I would see it again. Took my 7 year old daughter and she thought it was the best shiw she ever seen. It did start promplty on time. Other shiws at GSR wait for everyone to get inside and seated. GSR had some issues getting everyone in promptly on Friday.

    Riverdance was great but….

by Yiayia on 5/22/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

The performance was fabulous however, I was sent at least 5 texts or emails per day the week of the performance with all the rules such as no purses, if you leave you cannot come back in, if you are late you won’t be admitted are a few however I saw purses, people were coming in as late as 30 minutes interrupting the performance and the gentleman in front of me went out and came back in during the performance. Why have rules if you do not enforce them? I would love to see Riverdance again but NOT at the GSR. A terrible disappointment

    Exciting Entertainment

by Christie on 5/17/23San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

My husband was Leary about joining me and other friends to see RiverDance. He enjoyed it as much if not more than I did! We all found the performances to be energetic and entertaining. I loved the jazz tap vs the RiverDance Boys the most. The young lady singing solo was amazing. The dancing, choreography, scenery changes, and the cheerful spirits of the performers was outstanding. The musicians, especially the drummer were excellent. We had an amazing time, and loved the discounted price. Our seats were great too!

    Great Show !

by GK on 5/17/23San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

This is an excellent production that has you rock'n to the beat. The performance, the sounds & lighting, the fun of it all - has you smiling to the very end, and even as you leave the theater.
