  • definately the greatest show on earth!!!!

by dylanmalachismom on 11/11/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

The circus was fantastic...the only part that I didn't like was the fact that after we waited in line for 25 minutes to get our tickets scanned we were told to go to the box office. Our tickets were upgraded (that part was wonderful) however we had to go back and wait in line again to have our tickets rescanned.... All in all the circus was a fantastic and wonderful experience...and i will definately be taking my children again. :)

  • Spectacular!

by ciruslovers on 11/10/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

My five year old says it was "AWESOME!" The clowns were funny, the acrobats were all amazing and the elephants, horses, tigers, zebras and dogs were all so fun to watch! WOW! We will definitely go again!

  • Big Top was not so big...

This was probably the most disappointing circus that we've been to in many years. We were not enamored with the new ringmaster nor the content of this year's performance. Granted, I realize that changes are and must be made, however, this year was not one of our highlights. Having said all of that, I still recommend going to the circus as it is a tradition that should be continued. Perhaps we will temper our enthusiasm and be pleasantly surprised next year!

PARTS LACKED EXCITEMENT. COULD HAVE INTERACTED BETTER WITH THE CROWD.

  • Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey: Zing Zang Zoom

It was okay this year... Still too modernized, getting away from what the circus is... Everything moved too fast, no introduction of the acts. These people have been doing this all their lives and really didn't get any type of introduction. Didn't know who was performing or what their names were. Liked that the band was featured more, not stuck in a corner as in past years. Liked that the animal trainers were mic'd so we could hear the commands. Will I go again, absolutely-we are circus people, my father was a drummer for Ringling Bros 30 years ago so we go in honor of him.

  • Great Show

This was the second Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus I've taking my daughter to and she like the Zing Zang Zoom better than the show last year. Please keep up the good work the children love it.

  • Good circus show

    by error9900 on 11/10/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, this was a good circus show. There were some "cheesy" elements, but it was very entertaining as a whole. Some acts were especially entertaining like the salsa dancing tight rope walkers, the tiger tamer, the humorous dogs, and the elephants.

  • Zing Zang Zoom was enjoyable!

by msimply on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

The hour before at the "circus school" was very crowded and hard to see anything for the little ones. Seating for an event like this and having little ones was TIGHT and you were sure to get hit the the back of the head a few times. The items for sale by the circus were cheaply made and overpriced. All to be expected. The actual circus was very good and kept moving at a fast pace. There was a lot to see from the left side, to the right side and in the center ring. It was fun to see the kids faces as the watched everything going on. The tigers, I could have done w/ out. They were so sad and just looked tired. It was an enjoyable time. We hadn't been to the circus in 12 years and was as exciting as ever.

  • Not nearly as good as last year!!!

by jackthecat on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 1 out of 5

Last year, My husband and I took our three children to this circus and we were blown away!!!! We were so excited to go this year and boy were we disapointed!!! It was basically an old school magic show with a little circus. My chidren were not laughing and my husband and I were unimpressed!!! We wanted to see a circus like last year not a boring magic show with many unimpressive other acts. Many of the other acts were always tied in while doing their stunts and were still almost falling ---totally disapointing. The elephants and the dogs were the best things in the show. The people getting shot from the cannon was impressive but too bad it only lasted 2 minutes. Hopefully next year there will be a circus and not this waste of a lot of money!!

  • Good performances

    by daman63 on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

The show was good. The dog portion was my favorite, and my 3 year old daughters. Though the elephants were, as always, amazing to see. The tiger tamer must be fearless. Sight lines were a bit challenging, our seats were changed when we tried to enter. This led to us not being seated with another family we had bought the tickets. Probably not Ringling's fault. The two large swinging platforms with about 8 people on each, doing some tosses, was the slowest and least liked portion of the show. But the 6 individual swings, where people were leaping off and flipping, to land on pads or an opposing swing was amazing.

  • Cheap seats are way too high to see!

by Anonymous on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 3 out of 5

Well as expected, Ringling Bros. had all the wonderful elements to make a great show...talent, animals, and wonderful costumes. Unfortunately, the cheapest seats were so high up in the rafters, that we could barely see. We even missed one act altogether because we were looking down on the lights, and the group was suspended below the lights. I think it was terribly disappointing that with whole sections of lower seats available, that these seats were given as the "cheap" seats. Why not sell the less than desirable end-of-arena seats and skip the nosebleed seats for an event billed for families. Most attending had never been to the CONSOL Center before, and had no idea what to expect.

  • Circus was amazing

by Candgold on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

It was such an exciting show. My daughter is 3 and she was so interested and excited about everything that was going on. There was so much to see and never a dull moment.

  • Fantastic experience!

by KJinPgh on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

This was such a wonderful event and I would recommend it to anyone--young or old! I brought my 6 year old son, and his grandmother. We were really amazed at the quality of the show, and the magic tricks really amazed us! I wish I knew you achieved some of those tricks. Overall, a great time. I hadn't been to the circus for over 25 years and it was a memorable experience!

From section 205 part of many of the acts was obscured by the lighting and rigging involved. We had seats in row C of the 205 section and I was very surprised by how bad the seats actually were, not because of the arena itself but because of all the equipment they used for the show. It would have been much better to get rid of 1/2 of the gimicky lights and actually make it a show you could see. Also the prices of things was way out of line for a family event (Can you say $12 for a small cotton candy and an extremely cheaply made wizard hat?) The kids did enjoy the show but they actually did not even know where o look 1/2 the time since nothing was ever centered on.

Our entire family enjoyed the circus! From Mom and Dad in our 40's to our 14 yr old, 12 year old, 10 yr old and 8yr old. This includes two great big thumbs up from our 12 yr old daughter with Down Syndrome - she was on cloud nine! The music was very catchy and had us dancing in our seats. Our 12 year old asked if we could go one more time - we told her we had to wait until next year......I just hope she can wait that long. It was a great family outting. Thanks again!

  • Circus held the attention of my 2 1/2 year old

by BrocksMomma on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

I couldnt be happier about the splurg of the celebrity seating for myself and my 2 1/2 year old during his first experience at the Circus. We had a wonderful time and I will forever hold dear the photos we took during our Pittsburgh, Pa Circus expereince. THANK YOU Ringling Bros It was great!!

AWESOME - MY GRAND DAUGHTERS WERE AMAZED WITH THE ENTIRE CIRCUS. AGES 8 AND 3 AND THEY BOTH SAT ON THE EDGE OF THEIR SEATS THE ENTIRE TIME. MUSIC WAS A LITTLE LOUD BUT THAT IS TH ONLY THING THAT WE DID NOT CARE FOR.

  • by PittsburghMom on 11/9/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 2 out of 5

I would not recommend this show to a friend. I have two children, ages 2 and 4 and they completely lost interest within 45 minutes. The circus was much better last year and kept my kids attention the whole show and they were only 1 and 3 then. This year there was too much "down" time while they were setting up for the bigger shows and the entertainment between the bigger performances was not that great. It did not have the "wow" factor this year.
