  • Circus was great

by dburrows on 11/14/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

I took my whole family and it was wonderful. Everyone agreed that the animals looked well cared for and were great. Too bad the man fell from the wheel hope he is feeling better. Even the vendors selling there wares throughout the stands gave it an old time circus feel. Maybe if the tickets were better priced there would have been more in the audience.

Everyone had a great time. Very updated and energetic show. Animals looked well cared for. Lots to see. Our group ranged in age from 8-65 years old and all were entertained.

  • The Tigers were the Best !

The before show was really nice, Suzy and the other kids got a chance to meet some of the animals ,clowns & magicians up close. The main show did not disappoint either, it was action packed for the whole show - and kept everyone on the edge of their seats with excitment

  • Pretty Sad...

by Ligi on 11/13/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 2 out of 5

Everything was amazing except for the animal shows. Animals seemed to be getting mistreated and didn't look happy. At one point I wanted to run out and tell them to stop whipping the poor animals. Besides for the animal cruelty though, the show was interesting. Also googled this circus after the show and found some horrible youtube videos of animals getting "trained"...

The animals were the best part of the circus. I missed the traditional circus aspect of the show. I thought it was too much of a musical and the performers (mostly female) were not appropriately dressed, especially since there was a vast majority of children in the audience. I think the program should focus more on entertaining through circus acts and tricks...not through flashy singing and dancing making it a musical rather than a circus. Despite the musical part, the animal tricks and other performances were quite amazing.

I tought that what we,(my daughter grandson and myself),got to see,(we missed almost an hour of the show because of traffic construction, and VERY BAD INSTRUCTIONS), from the site and the sat\nav.because of the construction detours ,etc. !!!!! All in all I tought the show was very good, and the event personel where very nice, and my 4 year old grandson, enjoyed himself very much at his very first circus !!! Thank you very much for your time. P.S. if going to a show, it is best to leave, alot more, than an hour, ahead of time,as we did !!!! If you want to see the whole show, not that the really small children notice it!

  • Ringling Bros a sign of the times

by ZZZ7 on 11/13/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 4 out of 5

I am a baby boomer, I have always loved the circus. The clowns were entertaining, but they looked like neighborhood kids with their faces painted. The costumes lacked quality; however, I do applaud you for the diversity among the clowns. They were great dancers. I would have preferred one performance for the dogs, horses, and zebras. We were sitting on the end where the horses performed. The ringmaster was multitasking which is why I titled my review "a sign of the times". For me it seemed like the circus has been affected by the economy, quality was average. I would recommend the circus for first-timers because it was entertaining and full of this current generation's personality. I loved the music. The circus for me is like a time of unity, we all seem to be on the same page, we came for one purpose. The greeters were WONDERFUL. I loved their smiles and their hospitality. Awesome. Thanks for using our golden-aged generation. This was really encouraging. Overall, we had a great time.

  • Ringling Bros was OK

by shotizedog on 11/13/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 2 out of 5

I was excited to go back to the circus this year because last years was awesome but I have to say that I was very disappointed in it this year. The finale was like 30 seconds long when last year it seemed like it was 5 minutes. There were no trapeze artists this year and the clowns could have been a lot better. I guess if it was your first time going it would have been ok but after having seen last years I was not impressed.

  • A Day At The Circus

by ce39hj43x on 11/12/10Arena At Harbor Yard - BridgeportRating: 4 out of 5

I brought my children for the first time, and boy, did they enjoy themselves. It was an event for all ages. Being at the circus brought back memories when my parents took my sisters and I to the ringling bros. and barnum and bailey circus when we were kids. A must see that is full of adventures. We loved the performances and the animal acts were amazing.

It was a nice show, but I prefer traditional circus acts. It felt too much like Cirque de Sole. We had to leave 40 min into the show because my 19 month old was only sitting still and interested in the parts w/ animals. An older kid, 6+ would probably have a good time.

by Murphyfamily on 11/12/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 3 out of 5

We've been going to Ringling Brothers for eleven years... not the kind of showmanship in this show that we've experienced in the past, and we're disappointed. The animal shows were top notch as usual. Everything else was toned down from previous years. Less talented people than before - less amazing stuff. Hope they get back to higher standards next year.

  • Great Time!

by hmw29 on 11/12/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 4 out of 5

We took our 2 1/2 year old son who is very active and he enjoyed it! He actually sat for a good hour which is amazing for him. We did have to leave a little early because he was getting a little anxious but overall he did very well. I was impressed with the show and we will definately go again!

  • It was ok

by LindaKL on 11/12/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 2 out of 5

I expected to see more acts instead of clowns and they did not do much with the animals, it seems like every year they get less entertaining.

  • Not what I expected from a circus

by Shanisam on 11/12/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 2 out of 5

This was not what I expected from the Greatest Show on Earth! It was supposed to be a circus, but was more like a rendition of High School Musical. There were few tricks and the ones they did have, were obstructed by stage props. We had bought second level, center ice tickets. When we got there, there was an obstruction so we got "upgraded" tickets for 1st level end ice. We couldn't see much at all. I would never have bought tickets for those seats. To top it all off, our little guy was falling asleep. We had to give him M&Ms to keep him awake.

  • fun for everyone!!
