  • Ringling Bros....never a boring moment!

by SWal3 on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 4 out of 5

My 5 year old son abosolutely LOVED it....kept his attention for the whole show. I just wished they would have had the motorcycles like they did at last years show, my son even asked why they didn't have them this year.

Thought it was great. Really enjoyed the Dr. Gravity and Zing Zang Zoom story. My 2 1/2 year old was captivated and so were my husband and I. There was always so much to look at.

Had a great time! Took my girls to see the circus and it was a blast! There were somethings that were missing that I remembered when I was kid going to the circus - there were no trapeze artists, no monkeys, no clowns. But all in all it was a great show. Will definately be taking my girls next year when they come to town.

It was so cool watching the elephants!! I kinda didn;t like when they were whipping the horses. And i for sure thought that the tigers were going to eat the trainer. I loved the dog part it was so cute especially watching the one on a scooter. I would definately come again.

  • Kids loved it!

by GPWFamily on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

Kids were on the edge of their seat for the entire show. How often can you say that? Our boys, 3 and 8, loved the show. It was non-stop and held their attention. The only negative about this show is the price. There are not many families that can afford a $200 night out with the kids. Here is our break-down: $100 for four lower-bowl tickets (row R). $10 to park. $12 for popcorn, $12 for cotton candy, $20 for lemonade, $14 for two programs because they each came with a blinking clown nose, $24 for pizza.

We enjoyed the show with our 3 1/2 year old. I have to say that the last B & B event "Over the Top" was much better from a visual and production stand point. As with all the circus shows that come to town, the prices for anything are also over-the-top! (i.e. souvenirs, food, drinks) A big let down was the popcorn. I realize that it seems rather insignificant, but, it was the WORST popcorn I've ever had!! Popcorn, peanuts and cotton candy are all related to a visit to the circus. How can they charge $7.00 for a box of awful popcorn, even for good popcorn it's ridiculous. Overall the show was pretty good, however, allowing everyone to come an hour before show time to roam the floor and meet and watch the performers up close was a neat idea, it was just so crowded that you really could not see much. I realize that this review sounds a bit negative, but I always recommend taking your kid(s) to the circus. It's a part of childhood and a memory to have forever!

  • Zing Zang Zoom was great

by mungosmom on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I took our 3 year old to his first circus and we all had fun. We really enjoyed the animals - elephants, horses, tigers & dogs. We thought there was a good mix with the animals, clowns, acrobats and cannons! During intermission my three year old said "Mommy, this really is the greatest show on earth!"

Very good show, great acts and performances all the way around. Made you laugh, made you gasp, made you wonder how it happened!! Only thing is price of other items - drinks for kids, cotton candy, and light up toys are very high and no outside juice boxes or snacks are allowed in. So with 4 grandchildren to get popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones - it blew my budget for the next week.

I took my granddaughter. My, how the circus has changed since I used to take my son (32). We loved the circus. Too much cheerleading in costumes and not enough animal acts. Where were the animals??? all we saw were elephants, dogs, snapshots of horses, and finally a tiger, near the end. No real animal acts. My granddaughter was not real impressed. Barnum and Bailey used to be the best circus there was. Not anymore. And the ridiculous prices on the circus paraphanielia !!!! I could not believe what they were charging for lemonade and cotton candy. $12.00!!! I'm done with the Palace and the circus.

great show, kid friendly, but very expensive day. 5 tickets, parking, concessions, souveniers dropped $250.

Was very engaging for the kids, they are 7 & 8 and weren't bored at all.

  • Too much filler

by MImom26 on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 3 out of 5

There are fantastic parts of this circus - the elephants, the trapeze artists, tightrope walkers, etc., but there is too much filler to keep either our daughter or us entertained. The song and dance numbers were too long and served to make our little girl even more antsy. Perhaps she's just too young (3), but she was ready to go before it was over. We saw lots of other smaller kids leaving when we did, too.

  • IT WAS THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH

by Scenic on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

The last time I went to a circus was yearsssss ago. We took our grandchildren (ages 6 thru ll) and they had great time falling out of their seats w/laughter. We will do it again.

  • Circus!

by ClowninRound on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 3 out of 5

Exactly what i expected from a circus, a little more showy than the basic circus that you normally see. Actually had somewhat of a plot/storyline, which was Humorous in itself! Had a blast!

  • Poor

by sassy12345 on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 1 out of 5

There were several piece of a circus that were not present. No motorcycles in the ball, no trapeze show. Very little horse show. Nothing major or awe about the performance. Limitied acrobats. Not like when we were a kid.

  • We loved it!

by Anonymous on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

We've been to several other circus' in the past few years, and this one was by far, the best one. The costumes were amazing, there were alot of animals throughout the show, which are the kids favorites. The animals seemed well cared for too. With the magic, music, and costumes it was like a "Vegas" type show. We really loved it! and would recommend it. Our kids are 5 and they thought it was great.

  • RINGLING'S Zing - Zang - Zoom

by Zharthaddeus on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 5 out of 5

I was very impressed with the Ringling show. High energy, quick moving pace and very colorful. When this show was created, I was so glad the animals were brought back to the ring. I love seeing the elephants once more. I always enjoy the storyline and theme of each show. The audience participated with excitement and as we exited, the look on everyone's faces told it all. We were entertained throught the fantasy of a quality circus. I will definitely return next year.

  • Zing Zang Zoom wasn't as good as past performances

by SunnyLyssa on 11/15/10The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn HillsRating: 2 out of 5

The show was just okay. We go every year and usually love it. But this year each performance seemed only so-so, and there wasn't as much that was new and exciting. They had a new act that was all upside down that was really amazing, but other than that... it all kind of "been there, done that". Hopefully next year they will add some pizzazz.

This is our 4th year attending the Circus and as we left, my kids said they wanted to do it again next year. So, we will be there if the Circus comes to The Palace again. From my six year to my father, who is 66, we all LOVE IT.
