this was a very good show for all age very good. great for kids
This was my six year old son's first time at the circus. He loved the music and the tigers. He wants to come back again next year.
Enjoyed the Zing Zang Zoom but found it very dark. Such ashame to not fully appreciate the great colors of the costumes and props. A clear view across the Palace of Auburn Hills would have been nice. The previous years the Ringmaster was a Clown and it was very entertaining. We missed this and the extended silliness of the clowns. The hour before the actual show was excellent! What a thrill to get up close and see bits and pieces of the upcoming acts and animals. Bet the dogs could perform alot more....should perhaps get a little more time.
Absolutely amazing. There are a lot of breathtaking tricks done by the artists. The trapeze on the swinging platform is unique. A great family show. The 11 tigers with only one ringmaster was the best part of the show. The finesse with which he handled the beasts ( yes.. eventhough they are trained, they are beasts) was really amazing. The dual canon jump is the best I have ever seen. The elephants & horses are elegant.
The circus is family event that my sisters and our younger kids go to. We find the whole process very smooth. Easy parking, comfortable seats with no blind spots and overall very clean stadium. The circus itself is very up beat and very active. The kids were mesmerized. Just wished they would have had the motorcycle event.
Our family went to the show on Saturday evening. We had great seats, and the show was amazing. I loved the theme of the show with Mr. Gravity and the ring master who did amazing tricks. The show was extremely professional with fabulous costumes and a highly skilled entertainers. My eight year old daughter was engrossed the whole time. My husband and myself enjoyed it as well. Money well spent.
Took my granddaughter. We had front row seats, so we had a great view of the show. My granddaughter had a wonderful time. Was really worth the price of admission. Would go again next year.
I took my son and his friend to the circus for his birthday. I purchased the circus celebrity seats because I thought you got to ride in the little cars. Boy was I and the boys disappointed. Our special event was being moved to very uncomfortable bleachers. Where I got kicked the whole time by a little girl behind me and the boys couldn't see because they set two adults in front of them. The whole time we were there , they just kept saying we can't see and I paid $82 a person for this horrible experience. I wish I would have had a party for him instead.
The show was real nice but the sound quality was terrible. They have good live musicians and singers performing on this show but the public ( at least those who care about audio quality) are not able to fully appreciate their performance. I know that not everybody notices something like that, but being a sound technician myself, I did.
This was our 7 year old son's first time at the circus and he loved it! There was non-stop action, thrills and laughs. His favorite was the elephants...he had never seen real elephants in person. He can't stop talking about it. The aerial acrobats were awesome, and the clowns were great! This is a wonderful family show. We will definately go again!
The program overall was very enjoyable. The lighting and effects were outstanding and the circus as a whole was great.
The show was very entertaining. We really enjoyed the magic involved in the performance. The audience participation was a nice addition to the show.
I absolutely love taking the kids to the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus each November. In fact, we look forward to the performance all year round. I also realize that the show has to change from year to year or people will get bored and stop attending. However, this year was more like going to a magic show than a circus. And trying to see magic tricks from 200-level seats isn't exactly easy on the eyes. At times it was hard to decipher what exactly was going on. The kids kept asking us "What's going on? What are they doing now?" Some of the things you expect to see at the circus weren't in the show. There was no flying trapeeze act, and no act with the motorcycles in the sphere or the motorcycle on the high-wire. There weren't even little clown noses being given out during the "meet & greet" before the show like there normally is. We had to buy each kid a program so they'd get a "light up" clown nose - one didn't light up and they all hurt the kids' noses. We'll go again next year in hopes that the show will be better. But if it fails in impress us again we might have to find a new November tradition.
Did not keep my kids entertained. both of them feel asleep at the one this year.
Haven't been to the circus in almost 30 years so I was excited to take my kids. My youngest (2 1/2) lost interest with most of the "people" acts but was fascinated by the animal acts. My 10 year old loved the entire show. My 13 year old acted cool but had a good time. I may have enjoyed it most of all. Definitely get there early to go down to the floor for pictures with performers and costume props. And bring cash because concessions are pricey.
At promptly 3:30 the house lights got dim, and the greatest show on earth was under way. After watching kids be awed by elephants running around in circles, the circus amazed the crowd by shooting a double cannon ball. The intermission could've been replaced by more acrobats, buit I guess the circus staff needs a break as well. After the brief intermission, the circus once again amazed the audience by having three ton elephants do hand stands. The kids seemed to love it and a good time was had by all.
I was upset that there were people protesting the event by holding signs indicating that Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey were unkind to animals On a more positive note, my family enjoyed the show very much. My two daughters were very excited to go to the circus and were very excited once they were there watching the performances.
It was awesome. Worth every penny. It moved fast which was great since kids have short attention spans. The majic tricks were an added bonus. Very entertaining even for adults.
My family went to see the circus last year and loved it. We were so excited to see the circus this year and were totally disappointed. I am not sure if the economy hindered this years event but it was sub-par. I am not sure if we will ever go again. ;O(
As always Ringling Bros put on a great show...I don't know how they keep it fresh every year. My only complaint would be the size of the seats...a larger person sat next to me, on me, elbowed me...thank goodness my child was sitting on the other side so I could lean over toward him.
