  • Cute show

by Anonymous on 11/1/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 3 out of 5

The show was pretty good. My three year old loved it but my five year old was a bit indifferent, and he usually loves shows. The high wire act was great, and of course we loved the elephants. The rest of the animals were just taken around the ring over and over again with a few little tricks here and there. It all felt pretty weak overall and I definitely think they must be cutting back or something. I really wasn't that impressed considering after fees our tickets for four people totalled close to $100. It was good but overall a bit of a let down for that kind of money. Your kids will probably like it though.

  • excellent entertainment value but...

by mrjonasm on 11/1/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 4 out of 5

for 18 dollars this circus was worth every penny, BUT be prepared for the craziest arrangement to get you to buy your kids tons of junk at outrageous prices. the entire hallway was a merchandise table and there had to be at least 20 people walking around our section to hawk more wares. it was relentless.

Kids had a blast, there was always something to watch even when moving the bigger equipment in and out. Reasonably priced compared to some of the other shows we have attended.

  • The circus was wonderful!

by JackWentToTheCircus on 10/31/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

The circus was wonderful! The pre-show was one of the best parts; we were able to meet many cast members and see some of their acts up close. The circus itself was very amusing. I'm certain children would find the clowns hysterical even if they might not be able to understand the plot all that well. My date and I found the dog act particularly funny. Some of the magic tricks and acrobatic feats are sure to puzzle parents of all ages.

  • Ringling Bros. Circus/Blue Cross Arena

by FunnyL on 10/30/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 3 out of 5

The circus part was quite fun and the performers really gave us a great show. What has me giving this an Average rating is the Arena and the prices of everything that was offered. Blue Cross Arena - Seating is so close that my head and seat were constantly kicked or bumped by any one passing behind me. That is an absolute pain when trying to concentrate on the show and takes away from it. I've been to arena's that are not like this and they are not giant expensive arena's either. The price for a beer, a crappy beer of either Bud or Molson was outrageous. $6.25! Wow that's what a six pack cost. Ringling Bros. - Great show with some minor animals not co-operating which is to be expected. Not as good as it used to be when they used to have more to it but it was fun and entertaining. The BAD was their vendors. A bag of cotton candy with a cheap magic hat was $12. WOW! Really. I mean c'mon is it really anywhere near that expensive. They also have the vendors set to pressure sell the items. They yell out "cotton candy" then when someone says over here they hand them the bag and say 12$. So the product is pushed at someone and makes them feel like they have to buy. I of course did not run into this since I am not a cotton candy person but felt sorry for the single dad next to me who got suckered in after his daughter was handed the bag. He could of said no but that would of made him feel like a jerk and they count on that.

  • A Magical Night for your Kids!!

by Anonymous on 10/30/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

I highly recommend going the full hour early and going to the FREE pre-show. Kids get to experiance the circus up close and personal!! They got to meet several circus performers, walk on a tight rope, pose for pictures with the acrobats, meet some clowns and try on some clown outfits, and the also brought out several animals to do demonstrations...kids get within 1 foot of ring!! They did all this in an hour before the show...it really enhanced their overall experiance. My kids are 1 and 7 and they both thoroughly enjoyed it!! Our seats were great....we had seats in the middle range and they were perfect!!

  • Fun for the whole family

by betsergirl on 10/30/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 4 out of 5

It was great to get there early and see things up close and personal. The entire circus was run super-efficiently, and zoomed right along without skipping a beat. Criticism: It went too late for 3 1/2 year old. We left at 9:30 and it was still going on. The price of the "stuff" is ridiculous.... $8 for cotton candy; $7 for popcorn and the gadgets were much more than that. I wouldn't consider it affordable for a family with many children.

  • Circus was a dissappointment

    by User123456 on 10/29/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 2 out of 5

Not too much different from last year. The finale was a huge dissappointment...all two minutes of it. Last year the finale was spectacular!

  • Ringling Bros Circus

by jayvee on 10/29/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 4 out of 5

Overall a very nice performance. I was impressed by all of the performers' physical and theatrical abilities and talents. I took three children, ages 13, 11 and 5. The older children really liked it, the younger one ebbed and flowed with her interest. Prior to the beginning of the show, the vending is a HUGE distraction, but I understand it is all about the revenue.. I will say that the show started out very slowly (awards given out to three local children, etc), and the grand entrance is kind of a downer for children. About 15 minutes into the show it picked up and stayed interesting. The diversity of the acts was good, and this event met my expectations..again very surprised that my two older children liked it as much as they did.Thank you!!.

  • Excellent entertainement

    by RichMitch100 on 10/29/10Blue Cross Arena - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

My first circus. I thought it was great. My wife was scared for the lives of the acrobats. My 3yr old son loved it and that's all that matters.

My daughter enjoyed herself 1st and foremost, I just wondered why there weren't any monkeys, or even a lion. Overall the singing, dancing and the animals were so awesome with the tricks and well trained. Gr8 show. I will most def take my family to see the show again.

  • Fantastic Circus

by treefeller on 10/26/10Arena At Harbor Yard - BridgeportRating: 5 out of 5

The Zing Zang Zoom Circus was excellent. Adults will enjoy the show as much as the children. Amazing athleticism with the performers and non-stop action was much enjoyed. You can't go wrong by going to this show.
