  • Wonderful show!

    by pdq27 on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I haven't been to a circus in many, many, many years and we also wanted to see the new Consol Energy Center so, on a whim, I went on the internet that day and got great seats for the circus. It was amazing--there was so much going on, you had to look here, there and everywhere to see everything at one time. The human acts were spectacular and hair-raising and the animal acts were just wonderful, too. It was a quality show and we were very glad that we went. Congratulations!

Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey are always the best show in town. Not only do the kids love it, but it is completely fun for the adults also. The people who work the circus are super professional and talented. My oldest son and my husband even got asked to participate in an act. We haven't been to Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey in a few years--just because of scheduling issues--but I am glad we were able to go this year and hope to be able to go again next year. Oh and don't be afraid to take little ones. My second son was just 2 months old for his first Ringling Bros and he was fascinated with the lights and big movements of the clowns. This year, although my second son is now 4, we took our 13 month old daughter. She loved watching the horses, elephants and tigers the best.

  • Ringling Bros made me feel like a kid again!!

I decided to take my two children to see the circus since i haven't been to one since i myself was a child. I found myself dancing, clapping, and screaming right along with my kids. The show was great and entertaining. My 7 year son looked at me halfway thru and told me that this was "freaking amazing" - bad choice of words but i understood completely.

I took my mother, mother in law, husband, 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter. They were mesmerized for the whole show. There was always so much going on that their interest was held the whole time. The whole family enjoyed it! Well worth the money!

  • Truly was the Best Show on Earth!!!

This was a birthday surprise for my 5-year-old son. He was thrilled! After every act, he would ask, "Is there more?!" And there was more! Nonstop circus fun from beginning to end, Barnum and Bailey did not disappoint!

  • Not worth it

by Anonymous on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 2 out of 5

We were very disappointed. Paid a premium for front row seats and to have tram ride in the arena. What we got was moved to bleachers with no back support. And we missed part of the show moving to the bleachers and then back to our seats. If you plan to go buy the cheap seats. You get nothing extra for paying a bundle more. And when we complained guest services said to contact Ringling Bros customer service and Ringling Bros customer service just sent me an email basically saying so what, too bad for you. No refunds or exchanges.

To whom it may concern: I recently took my youngest son to see your show in Pittsburgh. THIS WAS his first time. I feel you can honestly hold the title of "The greatest show on Earth." I have taken our older sons and family members to many of your shows and can say I as an adult have HAD a wonderful time sitting throughout the show in amazement. HOWEVER...I was extremely disappointed that I was unable to purchase my son a souvenir t-shirt. We had talked about it and how he would be able to wear it to school and show his friends and tell them about his trip before we left West Virginia for the 2 hour drive. Then I was completely appauld to tell him no. Some background information---I went to at least 5 of your booths and they all told me the same thing. No children shirts, only Adults sized large and XL and children's small---what at a circus! Who was this show for??? They also commented they had to 2 more cities along the tour. How many kids went home with out a shirt. How upsetting tha t one of the "greatest shows on Earth" couldn't have enough children's t-shirts to be sold. It wasn't as though I didn't buy 5 tickets, a program, a flashing cup, stuffed bear, and cotton candy with a hat, and a photo on a tiger, but my little one just wanted a t-shirt. Again I was so upset, this to me is just unexcusable. A truly unsatisfied guest!

  • Circus was fun

by Anonymous on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 4 out of 5

Haven't been to the circus in 25 years. Enjoyed it as an adult and even our 11 and 13 year old kids liked it.

  • Average Show. Good Venue

by ConsolEnergyReview on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 3 out of 5

The show was fairly average. Nothing special. The venue itself is pretty good specially when you get in and go up to the seats. The inside of the venue was pretty bare.

My husband and I took our 3 1/2 year old grandson. We hadn't been to a circus for years. I was concerned that my grandson would loose interest, but I was pleasantly surprised. First, go early! We got there 45 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time only to find out that we were able to go to the floor and visit with the Ring Master (he is wonderful), clowns, and some of the acts. We saw they up close. The interaction was wonderful. The costumes were beautiful. The music was modern. The animals were well cared for. I would go again and this time take everyone in our family. What a great family memory.

  • Zing Zang Zoom was awesome!

by CruzLvr on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

We took our girls, ages 8 and 6, and we all had a great time! The magic parts were so entertaining. We went last year as well and didn't find it a repeat at all, they changed things up completely.

  • My kids loved the show!

by CRMom on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

It was a very exciting show. Plus, it kept my 2 young kids attention the entire time. The only part that was impossible to see was the upside down act. There were lights shining towards us and not enough towards them. I'm sure it would have been impressive if we could have seen it. Also, 2 years ago the sound was too high and this year it was just right.

Took my husband and 3 year old to the circus! My little one absolutely LOVED it, he loved the animals, all the lights and action! Would recommend it for good, clean family entertainment.

  • Disappointed

by Anonymous on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 2 out of 5

My wife and I have not been to a circus in many years but were disappointed in this one. It just wasn't what we think of as a traditional circus. Although some of the magic was good we would have preferred more acrobat, trappeze, and animal acts. The clowns were a disappointment as they were more young ,athletic and acrobatic than funny. The redeeming acts were the animal acts, although there were two simultaneous dog acts that made it hard to watch both. The tigers and elephants were great but the horse and zebra acts were not long enough and once again they were performed simultaneously. All in all we were disappointed and probably will not attend another circus for some years.

  • Good but not as much...

by BurghCircus on 11/8/10CONSOL Energy Center - PittsburghRating: 3 out of 5

This was our second year in a row for the RBBBC. Last year was Over the Top and in my opinion was a slightly better show than the current incarnation of Zing, Zang Zoom. I will admit I love anything getting shot out of a canon, i did miss the motorcyles in the ball and last year had a better high wire act and the first half performances were a bit more flash as well. My 5 year old loved the show, as always, so no complaints for the kiddies. I will say that items were much more expensive this year, so bring extra cash.
