the circus was ok, it sure is not what it used to be but the grandson enjoyed it , on the other hand we showed up 1/2 hour early to go down to the circus area before it got started but that didn't happen as our seats were changed no notice not even by e mail it took us untill after the show started to get sat down NOT HAPPY AT ALL i guess it was fine if ya dont mind looking through steel columbs not sure i would buy tickets to the center again . very bad handling
circus was fun. My children ages 5 & 6 really enjoyed it. The huge downfall was all of the protestors outside of the venue trying to talk to my children about how the circus treats their elephants. Disheartening...I don't know what happens to the animals, my hope is that a big name circus would treat their animals with respect and kindness.
Of course this was amazing as always! Love how they allow us to go down on the floor and get up close to the show members! Thank you for the great experience!
Only one tent, ridiculously priced merch, and lazy servers.
One ring, boring circus that used to be the greatest show on earth. It was terrible. My son who is 7 got bored. We left early. This circus used to be fabulous and now I would never tell anyone to go. VERY DISAPPOINTING
All four of us enjoyed the show...including the training portion.
I remember attending the Ringling Bros circus as a child at Madison Square Garden. I remember trapeze artists, numerous high wire acts, lots of clowns, lots of animals and three rings. I was totally disappointed in this show and how the circus has been reduced. Fortunately, my grandchildren didn't have the reference I had from the past and they did enjoy the show. The performers were great. That being said, this was not a circus as I have been used to. sorry...
Its too bad they feel the need to push the elephants to such extremes. The dogs were not. I think its the people that make the show. And they did quite a good job. Lively and entertaining and good at their particular acts. Fun for the kids I think.
First part was good second part was really exciting. Missed the final parade of animals w the performers. The anti elephant group was really upsetting to younger children. At least two of the children stated they were sad and upset. If you can't get them away from line area then play music loud enuf to drown them out. The lady announcer in front did great job of talking over them
Took one of our Grandchildren to Ringling Brothers about 8 years ago and had a blast, so we thought we would take both of them this time (our Grandson just turned 5). We were really disappointed in the show compared to the one we saw before. The clowns were not nearly as entertaining as Belo was and there were hardly any animal acts. Not to mention the PETA activists accosting my Grandchildren as we entered the arena. I actually had to step in front of my 13 year old Grand-daughter and tell one of them to leave her alone.
Unfortunately, the Ringling bros circus didn't really excite the way the Circus did when we were younger. The only animals we saw were about 6 small horses, 3 dogs, 2 camels, and 2 elephants. Where were the lions, tigers, and other animals that the Circus used to have. The clowns were 2 early 20's kids who weren't funny at all. There were a few great moments of course, but ultimately, it just wasn't exciting at all, pretty corny in many places, and something that we definitely will not be returning to.
There were protesters with elephants pictures looked horrible so that itself didn't feel going into a show. Then the show was not inspiring...Some acrobatic that looked like you see on American idol... Nothing that really stands out. Overall the show did not keep my daughter entertained throughout the show.
good for older kids, had a 2 year old and 3 year old that had a difficult time sitting still for 2 hours. Felt sorry for the animals; they looked extremely bored during the performance.
Great family fun! There was a good theme and great acts beginning to end
I assumed it was a 3 ring circus. The only animals were 2 camels, some horses, and a few dogs, and 2 elephants. Need more animals, like the old days.
My Son, and Grandkids had never been to a circus and they LOVED it ! Can't ask for more than that ... Papa got tickets for all of us, thanks Papa - Grandson said
Not what I was expecting to see at the show. Wanted more animals and circus activity.
Not at all like it was many years ago. I remember the spectacular 3 ring circus, this was one ring and not so spectacular. There were fun acts and daring but just lacked a lot. Where are the clowns? Where are the lions? Where are the lights and the fancy costumes? The best part for us was the preshow. My grandaughter got chosen to do many of the volunteer spots so that of course made it memorable for us and great photo opportunities.
My wife and I took our Granddaughter, age 4, to the Sunday 4:30 show. We had a great time and really enjoyed the show. We had even more fun at the "meet and greet" 1 hour before showtime down on the floor of the Moda Center. Kids got to participate in events just like the performers, with a little help from the actual performers. The two clowns were so nice and "not the scary kind" as my wife would say.
