    Would not recommend the Circus!

by GrandmaandPops on 10/21/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

Maybe I am just used to a circus being fun to watch, with lots of Lions, Tigers, but instead you see two Camels walking around, two elephants, and bunch of dogs and the rest of the show is filled with people dancing around so you won't pay attention to the lack of talent in the real show. I did like the motorcycle tricks, and the ability of some of the performers but still just did not feel like a Circus! My grandson was ready to leave 1/2 way thru the show he was so bored and tired of it! Sorry - just not for me!

Still the greatest show on earth

by c23pobuzz on 10/21/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

The show was amazing. I love the preshow activities to keep the audience entertained. It was not good that the side of our car was scraped when we got back to the Civic center parking lot after the show.

Not the circus of days past

by EJL0630 on 10/21/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

When I bought the tickets for our family, I was very excited to take my daughter to her first circus. I was very surprised to arrive, find 1/2 the arena blocked off and a very small, one ring circus set up. The event is long - two hours+ and is light on animals. They have a cute act with ponies and dogs, then something with llamas, and later elephants, but everything else is very acrobatic/marshal arts heavy. Would not go again.

    Great Show!

by LEADER on 10/21/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

This was the fourth year in a row we have gone with our four grandchildren, and they loved the show more than ever. They already said they want to go again next year.

Trade the camels in for LIONS!

by Anonymous on 10/21/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

My kids (2 and 4) loved the show especially my 2 year old son. Aside from my following points the show was great and I recommend it to anyone with kids. 1. The second half is full of filler content and rather boring. My kids lost attention several times. Example: the Asian dance routines where they basically do nothing but run around. 2. I'm still scratching my head what purpose the camels serve. You basically paraded them in a circle for a few minutes and then that was it. Boring. Get some lions. 3. The music was turned up in the second half to obnoxious levels. I'm assuming this was to prevent people from falling asleep. A better solution would be to refer my first point above.

    Disappointed

by TrustLady on 10/21/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

The last time I attended a B/B Circus was in l993 in Topeka, KS. It was fabulous. Three rings going at all times, A big parade around the outside of the rings, of animals and performers before the show. Huge trapeze troop. Lots of REAL clowns. This show had one ring - one. Two wannabe clowns.. and one Man (they dubbed as Mr. B Bailey) - who was at least funny. Most of the acts took skill and were entertaining. Worth mentioning were Two very muscular gymnasts who were great and had very fluid movements. Three girls gymnasts who were the same. A rollerskating duo which brought back memories of the 60s/70s. Two motorcyclists racing inside a wire ball cage. Acrobats with a spring board. The ring had to be switched between acts and so the pathetic "clowns" used up time trying to entertain the crowd which was boring. Not so great parts -- The Animal acts were so amateur. Some poor little dogs who looked scared to death rode on the backs of small ponies. Two camels came out and at lest it was good to see exotic animals in real life. Then two Poor, Old, Pathetic elephants came out. One looked like it had mange on it's back. They did their very best to put on a show. Usually elephants would pick up their trainer with their truck and lift him/her up, or put them on their backs. These just did basic moves. My companion and I felt soo sorry forall the poor animals in the show -- they looked so worn out and sad. To defend the Circus. I'm sure it must cost a tremendous amount of money to feed the animals and transport them, and it must cost a fortune for the entertainers to travel, and also get paid. Because of that, I assume the Magnificent Circus's of the past are gone forever.

The circus acts were great but the children wanted to see more animals. Kind of disappointed in that the animal portion of the show was not much.

this was my second Ringling Bros circus at the Civic Center in Peoria IL, so obviously I enjoy both the circus and the Civic Center. these shows are smaller in size than those that play Chicago.

Would have been a 5 if I could have gone!

by Wishicouldhavegonetocircu on 10/20/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

I used to go to this circus when I was a kid, and always enjoyed it very much. For the past 3 or 4 years I have been wanting to go so bad, finally this year I had a day off work and was able to go. Bought two tickets for a friend and I. Drove to iwireless center instead of peoria civic center, even thought I got there 45 minutes early still couldn't make it there in time. Peoria is an hour away from me and moline is a little over an hour. I had bought front row demi Lovato tickets a few days before at iwirless center and thought my circus tickets were there too. Turns out I was wrong, it is my fault and I hope next year when it comes along I can go. It is the best circus I have ever been too and wish I wouldn't have wasted the time, money and gone to the wrong place. My family will never stop making fun of me. Just wish I could get my money back or some more circus tickets. Would have been a very good time!

    Smaller than previous years

by 309traveler68 on 10/20/14Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

We took four grandchildren, ages 9-12, to the Fri evening show. Unlike previous years, there was only one 'ring', as opposed to three. Our seats were excellent - section 24, row D. Right in front of where the action was & up enough to not have our view blocked. The usual acts entertained all of us; animals included dogs, camels, ponies, horses, & elephants. We missed the tigers & lions! Incredible acrobatic acts by two Bulgarian guys - who obviously were all muscle - & 3 gals who were equally agile & strong. Clowns were fun but not as much of a 'presence' as previous shows. Ring master did a good job & had a nice voice to sing The Star Spangled Banner. The folks on the high wire were incredible - we were all impressed. Treats were very expensive; our grandkids had brought their own money which they consumed in the form of popcorn & cotton candy. The circus was good fun but lacked the pzazz of previous circuses we've seen.

Was a little disappointed. I have been to show in the past that were fantasitic. This show was lacking the normal flair and was a little boring.

    circus

by mom2111111 on 10/9/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

Kids and I had a good time, loved the motorcycles, acrobats etc. Seats sucked by a pole but other than that had fun. The snacks, toys, other items were way over priced. Animals play a very small part of this circus but they looked well cared for. The elephants at the last zoo I went to looked sad, these 2 elephants at the circus looked clean and very healthy.

    Good family entertainment

by coolhand1999 on 10/8/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

I am 33 years old and this was my first circus experience, also a first for my 8 year old daughter and 9 year old son. We all were so impressed with each and every act. Very well put together and exceptional talent.

I was expecting spectacular but all we got was an ok show. I think kids under the age of 6 would enjoy it but it just wasn't what you'd expect to see at a big named circus. The prices of the "food" were ridiculous. $12 for a snow cone! I was not very impressed. Three stars for a younger audience.

Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus - Amazing

by Anonymous on 10/7/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

Absolutely loved it! We took adult kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and everyone loved it. Our one great-granddaughter was disappointed that there weren't any tigers, but that was the only negative we heard. Our one autistic grandson even made it through the complete circus

No Tigers or Lions but still fantastic

by WashingtonState on 10/7/14Toyota Center Kennewick - Kennewick

Show was super entertaining and my 2 year old loved it. I was very skeptical as in the past, the circus was dead and now it is like a Vegas act for children and adults.

    Barnum & Bailey was awesome

Awesome show and we especially enjoyed that the show also followed a plot line rather than just individual acts and performers.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey was just ok.

    by WCH1 on 9/14/14Moda Center - Portland

For those of us old enough to remember when going to this circus was the greatest show on earth this performance was not even close. For my young 4 year old grand-daughter she enjoyed the circus a lot. I enjoyed the act's in this show especially the strength acts, but they paled to the circus of old. The folks that were supposed to be clowns did not really seem all that funny to me. I remember the 3 ring circus, the trapeze artist, the guy being shot out of a cannon, the spectacular animal acts with horses and elephants, juggling acts, and when it was over people giving the circus a standing ovation and leaving with the sense of WOW that was a show to be seen. However, I understand with insurance, feed, a large staff to support, transportation cost, that to put on the show I remember the tickets would be very expensive.and difficult to do. This show reminded me of the small circuses that sometimes tour the country and for me it was very disappointing to the Greatest Show on Earth forced to dwindle down to a small time circus. Note: nothing against the acts we saw they were great, just not what I expected.

My son really enjoyed the show and wanted to come down at the end of the show and see the animals again
