    Where are the clowns?

by Lauredo on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

We had a great time even though we were not happy that the lines were very long for everything from the food to the souvenirs. Also, the clowns dressed in their colorful costumes and face makeup with red noses were missing. The antics that we remember such as many clowns getting out of the small car were missing. It's one thing to not have animals, which we totally understand, but where were the clowns??? Very disappointed.

    Not impressed

by Knot Happi on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

Not a circus. More an acrobatic show. The robot dog was sad to see. Never again

    VERY DISAPPOINTED

by Dee on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

No clowns and nothing at all like it used to be. It should not be called the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey anymore. It is far from the greatest show on earth. We left early because it was so boring. Not worth the money

    Limited site lines

by Kimd on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

Sitting second row in 210 did not allow for site lines of many of the performances taking place due to the steel support structure. Do not understand why they would have the trapeze, tight rope and elevated acts at the same height as the support structure. There are talented performers but the performance lacks punch and choreography that links the performances.

    Not the greatest show

by AT on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

It was boring. My kids kept asking (5 and 4) when it would be over. It use to be much better back in the day.

Great show, sound could be better

by KimB on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

Show was great. Definitely miss the animals. More of an acrobatic show than an old fashioned circus. The sound quality could be better. Some parts were very hard to hear.

by AT on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

    Very disappointed

by Mary on 3/6/24Prudential Center - Newark

I typically don’t write reviews but felt this needed to be done.. I had high expectations for Barnum and Bailey and was very disappointed. Growing up the show with the animals and clowns was amazing. I knew there weren’t going to be animals but what was with the robot dog? It was so strange! It was pretty bad.. no clowns.. what’s a circus without clowns? They had a few modern “clowns” but the one skit they did wasn’t enough. This was more of an acrobat show that was pretty minimal. For the amount of money I spent on tickets, I expected way more from Barnum and Bailey. Definitely do not recommend this show .. save your money!

    Room for improvement!

by Doink the Clown on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

Overall a great show, but plenty of room for improvement. Personally I prefer the older show format with the animals. But I understand it's different this time around for them. But they got to bring back the motorcycles inside the sphere act. That's a classic.

    It was ok

by Jay on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

Overall the kids had fun but I personally felt it was more of a cirque show than a circus. A lot of acrobatics, and although it was cool it became a little repetitive.

    Not a circus

by MP on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

I would give this 0 stars if I could , over the summer I went to a circus in a mall parking lot . It brought back memories of ringing bros and my Childhood so I thought I would look it up and see if it’s coming around and when I saw it was I was so happy to get tickets I got great seats on the second row . Well the show starts and I was wondering where I was where’s the clowns where the traditional circus acts very few . This has really changed and not for the good sometimes you need to leave great alone. I understand no exotic animals , but you can have horses and dogs that’s not illegal ,but aside from that you don’t need any animals just an old fashioned circus not people jumping rope and playing drums and a lady running around singing thinking this is broadway I found it boring , where is the ringleader with the red tails and top hat I have to say I would never go to this again was definitely just something strange . Waste of money !!

    Fun for all ages

    by Fossil60 on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

We all were wowed by the show. Fun for the 5 year old up to the 63 year old. A lot of stunts and a robotic dog. Several days later and the kids are still talking about it.

    NOT A CIRCUS ANYMORE

by Chloe on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

So, I think I was mostly looking for nostalgia and was highly disappointed. I understand the animals being taken away but not a single clown or funny skit it was basically an acrobatic show. Not worth the massive amounts of money I spent. Everything is so over priced, the food was not good at all and there was no pre show. I do not consider this a circus and I won’t waste my time or money again coming to this.

No longer the greatest show on earth!

by Disappointed Attendee on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

Where do i begin? Let’s see. Once called “The Greatest Show on Earth” has become “Just a Show”. When purchasing these tickets i was aware there would be no animals (which I understand the elephants but they could still use some animals for the shows). What I didn’t expect there NOT to be were CLOWNS! How do you get rid of clowns, because some kids are scared of them? No more pies in the face either. No little people. No great comedy from the clowns. Instead you have some “entertainers” in sparkly suits trying to be funny but not quite getting it. The circus has become more of a Cirque du Soleil than anything else. It’s just acrobats. No more motorcycles in the sphere. No more clowns. No more animals. No more circus type people. No more circus type characters at all. They don’t even sell popcorn or peanuts for goodness sake! 2 mainstays in the circus world are now gone as well. Wasn’t worth the price and it was honestly disappointing to return to a circus years later to come back to this “circus”. Save your money.

    Disappointed

by Melissa on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

I never write reviews but felt I needed to with this. We were extremely disappointed there were no animals except a robotic dog and they were no clowns. Maybe I should have done my homework before to know that but I feel like that’s what a circus is about. My 5yr old was bored by the acrobatic acts, the singing and drum playing. It definitely did not keep her attention. I told all friends and family about this and they were all shocked about the change in the circus. We will not go to another circus and lots of friends and family will not be attending. Nothing was wrong with the prudential center that hosted the even. Staff was kind and helpful. Very disappointed!

    Disappointed

by KM on 3/5/24Prudential Center - Newark

Disappointed-wasn’t what I expected. Was a really great show when I was growing up. Now I was so excited to take my daughter, but I didn’t feel it was worth the money anymore.
