Rihanna is nothing if not prolific. Since her 2005 debut, the 25-year-old singer has released seven albums and racked up twelve No. 1 singles, setting a record in the process as the solo artist with the fastest accumulation of ten chart-topping singles – a feat she accomplished in just under five years. A quick scroll through the radio dial will confirm that Rihanna is the most ubiquitous figure in Top 40 airplay, and considering her rapid-fire release schedule, it’s hardly a surprise that she recently edged out her idol Whitney Houston to become the artist with the ninth most Top 10 singles ever (24 in total). After hugely successful collaborations with Eminem in 2010 (“Love the Way You Lie”) and Drake in 2012 (Take Care), Rihanna scored her first U.S. No. 1 album with 2012’s Unapologetic, which includes the hugely successful “Diamonds” and “Stay.” Rihanna is shining bright in concert on the 2013 Diamonds World Tour -- opening acts 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky are worth the ticket price alone.
Born in Barbados in 1988, Rihanna grew up listening to reggae and began singing at age seven. As a teen, her Caribbean-influenced demos attracted the attention of label execs, and in 2005 she auditioned for Jay-Z, signing a six-album record deal with Def Jam Recordings the same day. Her first two albums, Mother of the Sun (2005) and A Girl Like Me (2006), spawned hit singles “Pon De Replay” and chart-topper “S.O.S.,” but it wasn’t until “Umbrella,” from third album Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), that she cemented her place as a serious contender to the pop throne. Originally written for Britney Spears, “Umbrella” peaked at No. 1 and earned Rihanna her first Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. A string of platinum-selling albums would follow, including Loud (2010) and Talk That Talk (2011), both of which featured an increasingly dance-oriented sound, including chart-topping club anthems “Only Girl (In the World)” and “We Found Love.” After terminating her tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with rapper Chris Brown, Rihanna released Unapologetic in 2013 to positive reviews – and a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

I would definitely see her again and again. She's a true vocalist.
This was my first Rihanna concert and it was a very memorable experience! Rihanna was great as well as the visuals, her dancers, and band. The crowd stayed energized and excited. It was the best concert I've been to by far! I'd recommend anyone who likes her music to go to a show. They won't be disappointed.
First time in the AAC as well as the first time seeing Rihanna. Venue: It was clean all around. Even the women's bathroom was clean. The staff was amazing, respectful, and helpful. Show: I'm surprised I didn't pass out!! I had always wanted to see Rih in concert but was never able to. The fact that I got this opportunity made the night that much better. She, of course, was amazing. She sang, she danced, she interacted, she did her job as an artist and entertainer. I would definitely do it all again.
Best experience ever!!!! The seats wets great but would get close seats next time. Can't wait for the next concert!!
Rihanna is so beautiful and talented. I loved her costuming and dancers! The dancers were unique and double-jointed, so it seemed. Her singing was amazing. I am glad I got the chance to see her in concert. The only complaint I have is that she was only out there for 90 minutes and it felt so short. I wish she could have continued performing longer. There were several songs of hers that I love that she did not perform, which was a bummer, but understandable. I am not sure if 90 minutes is an appropriate amount of time or if I was just enjoying myself so much that it felt short. Travis Scott was a terrible opening act. His language was awful..."mf this and mf that." I could look past the language, but he had no talent. Everything was autotuned. If you have to autotune everything, you have no talent. Even his one "big hit" was unrecognizable to me. His set was way too long and overstayed its welcome. I wish there was a better opening act or none at all. Time Warner Cable Arena always has adequate crowd control and parking. Many people were smoking marijuana in the venue. I am not anti-weed, but inside? Come on people.
I enjoyed the music, staging at bridge, dancing on stage, & all the wardrobe changes. What I didn't like was all the profanity of the 1st performer, really a major turnoff. It was literally every sentence.....too much negativity & wish I hadn't been there. Who wants to be filled with such profanity? It kind of ruined the night.
Amazing concert, enjoyed every minute. Rhianna is a gifted performer
Opening act Travis Scott good performance, but sound volume during his intro and his main set inside Oracle Arena was by far the loudest indoor concert I have ever experienced over the last 30 years. It was deafening loud. I had plugs on but still left the arena with an ear ache. Is that volume really necessary? I would have enjoyed Scott's set much more if I wasn't totally annoyed by the loud blasts of sound - especially the rumbling of the bass at the end of each song. Would have given the concerts 5 stars. Rihanna's performance was epic (her sound engineers toned down the volume a bit to make the sound way more pleasing - thank you very much). I came to see Rihanna. And left feeling awesome about finally seeing her show. Her music, her band's musicianship, artistry and stage presence were all excellent and worth coming to see. Dancing was very cool, as well.
Anti World Tour was amazing! Rihanna really can put on a show. Singing, dancing, stage production were all on point. I would highly recommend seeing her!
I though my seats would be too far from seeing her. But I was very wrong!! I love the way she started her concert and she is so little ;)
I had a blast at the Rihanna concert this past weekend!! Travis Scott opening up for her along with the DJ was a great show. They got the crowd hyped and ready for Rihanna to perform and then her show was the absolute best!!!
Rihanna sang more than I expected. She danced well. The overall vibe on chill. I was expecting it to be more hype tha. It was. It was to laid back for my taste. Lots of slow songs
Didn't appreciate the lip syncing. Good music but she kept covering her face so you couldn't see her sing. No need for the cursing. Good dancing and sets. Band was great. Wouldn't waste my money to see her.
Always like her music but the show was incredible. So much fun!! Great performance. Fun and excited. Looking forward to the next one in town!
Saw Riri for the first time in Austin and it was amazing!! Her vocals and everything were on point, I would truly recommend her! I love you Riri!
I honestly love Rihanna and I was really excited about the show, but I was disappointed because she barely even sang most of the concert was playback and the concert was super short!! It lasted little over an hour... I didn't feel like it was worth my money.
First time going to a Rhianna concert and I was slightly disappointed. I I love Rhianna's voice but couldn't hear it because the music in the back was too loud. She was all covered up most of the show. Dancers were mediocre. More thought needs to go into stage presence.
I was fortunate to have attended both of Rihanna's Bay Area shows and they were exceptional. Both as a performer and musical artist, Rihanna showed power, grace and true affection for her fans. In a 25 song set spread across her catalog, with additional weighting toward her new album "ANTI", Rihanna put on two stunning performances with deafening crowd approval. Using both sophisticated technology & sheer talent, Rihanna proved why her beautiful voice, unique lyrical phrasing and presence is so popular. She had the crowd on their feet throughout the show(s). A hard working force to be reckoned with, Rihanna is a true Superstar. A joyful experience that was out of the ordinary. Bravo, Rihanna!
We had a blast!!!! Rhianna performed song after song, that there was no chance to even sit down :) Love her!!! I love how she played a vast variety of old songs and her ANTI album. The venue was a great size, but still intimate. The view was awesome!!! SDSU!!!
Rihanna definitely knows how to put on a great show!! She did come out a little late, but it was worth the wait. The venue is amazing from the seats all the way to the top to the bottom floor seats, and they are all for a cheap price. It was definitely a must go to tour of the year.
