  • Rickie Lee Jones -- still amazing

by Joann1104 on 10/2/18Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Rickie Lee Jones over the weekend. First time since 1982. Her voice and her talent remain at the top of her game. Really enjoyed watching/listening to her. Her small band, consisting of a talented drummer and a guitarist, complemented her nicely.

by Lovepussi on 10/2/18Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Anders Osborne who opened for Jones was fantastic!! Really better than Jones who seemed somewhat whimsical and tired. First time I have heard her live and I would probably not do it again.

  • Rikki Lee Jones and Anders Osborne

Rikki Lee was good, not remarkable. Anders Osborne was fabulous.

  • Wish I Had Saved My Money

by JJScott76 on 10/1/18SWFL Event Center - Bonita SpringsRating: 2 out of 5

Came onstage late, sounded like she had relapsed on heroin, played an hour, ran directly off stage without a word even with a standing ovation, no encore and complained and threatened the venue to end the concert the entire time. Looked frumpy in a crappy t-shirt and jeans. Unimpressed for the amount of money spent... almost $200 tickets and $150 in dinner and cocktails. The opener, Anders Osborne, on the other hand, was fantastic. I love the vevue and feel like a true artist plays for the people and no matter the issues.

  • Worst concert I've ever attended

by katybug105 on 8/22/18PV Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 1 out of 5

Her concert last year in PV was so bad she finally left the stage in less than an hour. Her affect was so flat that she was either terribly depressed or highly medicated or both. Absolutely no audience engagement and she didn't even look at the audience while she mumbled into the microphone so low that she could not be understood while talking. Others on stage were continually following her, when she would leave the stage or standing near her while she so called "performed". She should be making public apologies for last year performance, maybe doing free concert it was that bad. do not waste your money and time

  • Meh

by shunpiker on 4/11/18Aura - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Rickie Lee Jones is an extraordinary songwriter. She has zero stage presence. I'm glad I saw her once, but I wouldn't go see her again. Stay home and write great songs, Ms. Jones. Aura, however, is a wonderful venue, and I will return again for future concerts.

  • Disappointed

by timpeadgbe on 4/2/18Aura - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5

Shortest show I have ever seen, she bailed after playing for just over an hour after complaining about the AC and being cold. I understand you are from New Orleans but this is New England in March. Very unfortunate as she still has it all from a voice and player perspective.

  • Rickie puts on a show

by BostonComedyLover on 3/29/18Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

Rickie doesn't just do the same show over and over - she really makes an effort to give the audience what she is feeling - and occasionally, what they ask for. You can really tell that she enjoys what she's doing, and that makes it so much more enjoyable for the audience as well. The venue was beautiful and allowed a very intimate show where she could easily communicate with her band as well as the audience. The staff was also very accommodating. My one complaint would be one I've seen before - Rickie doesn't do a very long set, and in all my times seeing her she hasn't come back out for an encore. When she's done, she's done. But despite that, or maybe because of it, I always make sure to get tickets when she comes back around again.

  • Great Concert

by Shrewsbury1 on 3/28/18Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

The Blue Ocean venue is terrific. You are close, sound is high quality. Ricki Lee Jones gave a great concert and had strong back up especially the percussionist who brought very sophisticated percussion to the performance

  • Great Show

Rickie Lee Jones was wonderful. I loved the versions of her songs that she did.

  • She's still got it!

by Grist on 3/28/18Blue Ocean Music Hall - SalisburyRating: 5 out of 5

Thoroughly enjoyable set with nice selection of older and newer tunes, especially a bunch of songs from Pirates, my favorite RLJ album. Her voice was just as expressive as ever and she can still hit the notes! My first time seeing her live. Have loved her music since discovering her with Chuck E's In Love way back. Recommended.

  • A beautiful artist, A wonderful time in space.....

by Waltzenfree on 3/16/18Paradise Performing Arts Center - ParadiseRating: 5 out of 5

I was extremely privileged to see this lady when she came to Paradise, a couple of months back, for the second time. She was in fantastic form. One of the best performances I’ve seen in a long time. She’s not lost any of her edge. She didn’t hold back, said what was on her mind without being preachy (having or revealing a tendency to give moral advice in a tedious or self-righteous way). Her back up crew was the best. The night was magic. I’m so glad she asked the audience if they wanted to sing her song or if they wanted her to sing. There is a point where one wants to hear the performer sing and not someone who wants to show that they know all the words. She asked in a very gentle way. Thank You. The place was three feet off the ground. To the bad reviews, She may not have gotten good vibes, maybe she was not feeling a connection to the audience that night and pulled the plug. For me, a truly memorable show. The whole show was one blissful moment. I don't need an encore.

  • A beautiful artist, but not a good ticket

by KeepMusicLive on 12/19/17Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 2 out of 5

I've listened to Rickie Lee Jones for more than 35 years and this was my first opportunity to see her live. She played 75 minutes and at the end of a ballad, got up from the piano, bowed and left the stage. No words. No encore. Nothing. House lights on. Her show left an entire audience somewhat confused and disappointed. I'll always be a fan of her writing and voice and wish I could recommend seeing her live, but I can't.

  • Terrible ~ she walked off after 6 songs!

by batonrougegurl on 12/15/17Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 1 out of 5

The first thing Ms. Jones did was insult the crowd by indignantly saying, "this sure is an affluent part of Florida." While the crowd sat stunned at her demeanor, she started to play and snicker and look to her percussionist for direction. She finally just walked off and the lights came up after about six songs. I'm trying to get my money back!

  • Awareness of When to Say Nothing

by MusicIntelligent on 12/12/17Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 5 out of 5

This was my fifth or sixth time seeing Rickie Lee Jones in performance. I don't go to these performances as a devotee to a personality. The draw for me is that she never disappoints. The consistency of quality in what is vocally and instrumentally conveyed never wavers. For me, it is always a surprise when others don't seem to recognize that when you encounter something this incredible it's best to shut up and listen. In spite of the noise, I got my fill.

  • She left rudely & w/o singing some of her best

by DrMSS on 12/12/17Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 2 out of 5

She started fine and showed her great talent and sense of humor but then left rudely without any goodbye or explanation and without singing some of her best songs. No one else presented an explanation for the abrupt and rude ending.

  • short but swet

she sounded great, her band was fantastic. "evening with" is was billed. no opener. 2 tix all in 144.00 90 min show. felt a little cheated

  • Beautiful voice

by ll1fan on 12/12/17Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Concert was good. However it was brief. Rickie Lee was on stage an 1hr and 10min. While the music was beautiful it ended abruptly with no encore. Not sure what happened.
