About

Rick Ross on Tour

When performing, the boss of Miami trades his unassailable cool for shouting and sweat. Stalking the stage in sunglasses, Ross performs hit after hit, touching on solo tunes like "Hustlin'" and "B.M.F.," which helped transform modern hip-hop, to the collabs he's done with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Ace Hood and Skrillex. A rap superstar, Rick Ross has performed at Rolling Loud, Wireless Festival, Made in America, OVO Fest and at gigs across Europe and Africa. In 2011 he toured as part of Lil Wayne's I Am Music II tour and in 2019 headlined his own Port of Miami 2 tour.

Rick Ross in Concert

A titan of outsize boasts, booming bass and trunk-caving hits, Rick Ross is a hip-hop icon with one of the genre's most reliable and formidable discographies. Raised in Carol City, Florida, the artist born William Leonard Roberts II was writing and performing rhymes as early as junior high but ultimately shined as a high school football star. Working with Miami indie label Slip-N-Slide Records, he emerged as Rick Ross in 2002. After then signing to Def Jam, he became an ambassador of trap music with his bold single "Hustlin'" and platinum-certified debut Port of Miami in 2006. Ross would ultimately record with a who's who of hip-hop β€” Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj β€” and remain a consistent, bosslike presence through more than a decade of evolving hip-hop trends. His Maybach Music Group imprint helped exploding rappers like Meek Mill, Wale, French Montana and Gunplay. In 2016, he would even take a small detour into EDM with "Purple Lamborghini," a Skrillex collaboration that became the lead track on the soundtrack to Suicide Squad. In 2019, Ross released his 10th album, Port of Miami 2, also the 10th record in a row to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

  • Vibe was cool

by Neets on 1/2/24Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 3 out of 5

The overall vibe of the artist and performances was cool. Only issue was the whole security and seating was hella unorganized. That aspect needed more structure. But otherwise it was cool.

  • FIRE CONCERT

by JESS on 1/2/24Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 4 out of 5

I ENJOYED THE CONCERT OVERALL HOWEVER THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS THAT PEOPLE WERE STANDING IN FRONT OF US IN THE AISLE AND THEY DID NOT BELONG THERE SO IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO SEE, I WISH THERE WAS MORE STRICT REGULATION WITH THAT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT PAY FOR FLOOR SEAT TICKETS I DID AND WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE. I ALSO DISLIKED THE FACT THAT RICK ROSS AND MEEK DID NOT PERFORM THEIR NEW SINGLE SHAQ AND KOBE AND WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT. OVERALL IT WAS A GREAT CONCERT AND I WILL GO AGAIN NEXT YEAR IF CHANGE WITH SEATING ARRANGMENTS IS HANDLED CORRECTLY.

Great show. All the artists were fantastic especially the surprise by A Boogie. Rick Ross and Meek Mill were the high light as well.

  • Exciting but room for improvement

by June on 1/2/24Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great but they did not perform many hit songs they have together including none of their new songs together.

  • We basically paid to see Black Alley!!!!

    by Kev B on 9/28/23The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

Rick Ross disappointed us. He was supposed to be the headliner and had the shortest set ever. I've seen Rick Ross perform before and I was shocked that he abruptly left off stage like that.

  • Horrible Experience

    by MS.K on 9/25/23The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 1 out of 5

The concert was horrible. It started over an hour late. However the venue was really nice.

  • Short Lived

by Chris on 9/25/23The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

The atmosphere and venue was on point. The DJs before the performance was great. When came to the performance, Monica's voice or mic was off and Rick Ross did 3 maybe 4 songs and the concert was abruptly over. I have seen Rick Ross before and this event seemed to be a money issue. The event wasn't worth what we paid for it. Very disappointed with the performances.

  • Unhappy

by Moe on 9/25/23The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 2 out of 5

The total experience was not bad.. Really enjoyed black alley and Monica. BUT RICK ROSS..first who leaves the stage without telling yours fans bye and give appreciation.. and I didn't come to the show for you to have the crowd sing most of your songs. His show was poorly performed with only him on the stage... absolute worst!!!

  • Artist

by BH on 9/25/23The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

The concern was good. However, the artist appearance was only for 10-15mins.

  • Disappointed

by Rick Ross fan on 9/25/23The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Black Alley was amazing as usual and Monica was great. I expected more from Rick Ross given that he was the headliner. He literally performed to track (no band) and rappef a few versus of 2-3 of his own tracks and then a couple of songs that he was featured on. I'm a huge Rick Ross fan but was disappointed by the length of his performance and lack of a live band

  • Needs some work…

by Leasa on 9/25/23The Anthem - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

Show started really late. Sound and lighting on stage was pretty bad… Monica clearly could not hear her music and half of her lights were out leaving half of the stage dark while she preformed. Venue was really clean, staff was nice, food was good, and the prices for drink were fair. Not a horrible experience I just think the stage production needs some (maybe a lot) of work.

  • The worst

  • He did a great show

    by D. M. on 5/22/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Saw him at Club XL in Harrisburg PA (It sold out). He gave a great show. He doesn’t cut off his popular songs like some do in smaller towns so that gives him high quality ratings from me! FYI His book is a good listen.
