  • Blown away

by Wakewalker on 4/2/12The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Richard Elliot said he was "blown away" by the changes at what was the old IMAC theater in Huntington, New York. this small, intimate venue closed and was reborn as the Paramount. The old vaudeville and movie theater was reopened in it's full size. This was the first jazz concert in the new facility and it didn't disappoint. Rick Braun and Richard Elliot, two modern day masters of smooth jazz put on a two hour spectacular that was worth the price of admission and more. These two friends had the old theater jumping and the sound system, designed for rock concerts, was loud, crystal clear and had the power to vibrate the old theater balcony. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We too were blown away and are looking forward to the next big name Jazz concert at this dynamic new venue

  • Rick and Richard rose above all the jazziest

by Liviro on 4/1/12The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Their collaboration beautiful. Music selection great. Proficient Instrumentalists. Rick Brauns voice sends chills up my spine. I hope he decides to feature more of his vocal abilities in future shows and too a lot more of his earlier music. LOVED LOVED LOVED the show and the venue perfect acoustics clean and the staff were friendly and inviting. Drink prices are a bit on the high for serving size. Should offer popcorn as free rather than charge a buck. Seems penny pinching. I will return to the venue though.

  • AWESOME!

Loved this show.....both are so talented and play so well together. Would definitely go again. First time at The Paramount...loved the decor and layout.

  • R & R

Just a very talented, fun, inspiring show. The chemistry between the two artists were excellent. The accompanying musicians were extremely talented as well.

  • PAINFULLY LOUD!

by Lucikate on 4/1/12The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Either the venue, Paramount theater in Huntington Long Island, or the sound people for Rick Braun have a hearing loss already. The volume was so loud, that even the waitress was wearing ear plugs. She offered us plug which we used. After the second song, we changed seats to move back to find a less painful seat. By the third song it was even painful with the earplugs. I walked out on one of my favorite musicians. My left ear is still ringing 2 days later. What a disappointment and more importantly, I'm sad to have thrown out the money. I will never go to a show at Paramont again,

  • Rick Braun and Richard Elliot were wonderful!

by pgnpt on 4/1/12The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great show, with a high energy level and the two totally connected with each other and the audience.

  • Guys Were Great, Venue was terrible

by loscroce on 4/1/12The Paramount - HuntingtonRating: 1 out of 5

Paramount had the baseline cranked up so loud my ears are still ringing 3 days later, in addition you could barely hear Rick and Richard up front. Horrible. Wonderful show when it was the IMAC theatre. Recommend you see the RNR show, just not there. They also needed to play more from their respective extensive libraries, not so many covers.

  • Fantastic teaming

by Lovethehorn on 9/6/11Fraze Pavilion - KetteringRating: 5 out of 5

Rick, Gerald, Peter and the rest of their group worked incredibly well together. I never expeted so much energy from a jazz concert. AS a trumpet player I was just amazed by Rick's ease at playing such incredible music - often one-handed! I will buy his CD's now!

Foreplay was fabulous, could have listened to them all night. Would have liked to hear more from Rick Braun. Really enjoyed Peter White.

  • Rick Braun, Gerald Albright and Peter White

    by BAC4CHRIST on 8/20/11Fraze Pavilion - KetteringRating: 5 out of 5

These guys put on an amazing show. If you every get the chance to see them live, it is well worth the money. The Fraze Pavilion is an awesome venue in Kettering, Ohio to hear them as well.

  • Great Talent and a Very Good Time

    by JazzLover12 on 8/19/11Fraze Pavilion - KetteringRating: 5 out of 5

Really liked FourPlay; Chuck Loeb made me forget all about Lee Rittenhaur; Chuck, you were awesome! Rick Braun/Gerald Albright/Peter White were all just amazing; great talent. Was unfortunate that storms were rolling in at the end of the show; felt like we missed out on a couple of songs. But the group adjusted well to the quick end. Gerald: would have been nice to have heard your COMPLETE version of Georgia on My Mind. Was so looking fwd to it. Peter White: loved your "story-telling" and your creativity - so much fun. Rick: you are so talented and an inspiration to us brass lovers all over. And thanks for honoring Herb Albert. You are so right about that.

  • Great Show

This was a very good show. The performers could have been a little more interactive with the audience but overall a good show.

  • Jazzattack was explosive!!!

    by estelle72 on 8/17/11Fraze Pavilion - KetteringRating: 5 out of 5

If you came for a reserved night of smoothjazz you were in the wrong venue. Peter White, Gerald Albright and Rick Braun set the stage on fire and luckily the weather didn't dampen the mood until the very last note was rendered.

Jazz Attack was outstanding> Really enjoyed the show.

  • Jazz Attack-EVERYONE was terrific!

by HaleyB on 8/16/11Fraze Pavilion - KetteringRating: 5 out of 5

Fourplay was really great! What a treat to see Bob James. Chuck Loeb was a perfect replacement for Larry Carlton. Rick Braun and Peter white are always a real treat to see. Peter plays with his whole heart and soul. And Nate, their Bass guiterist...wish they had given him a little solo time because he's so great.

  • Fourplay was the best.

by SDorise on 8/16/11Fraze Pavilion - KetteringRating: 4 out of 5

I am not a jazz fan but went with my husband who loves it. I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the music. Fourplay was really good and Peter White is awesome.

Great Concert I would recommend the event to any Jazz lover

  • Fantastic Show

by Streakster on 8/16/11Fraze Pavilion - KetteringRating: 4 out of 5

The performance by FourPlay was incredible. Their song selection and length of performance was perfect. Peter White was as usual very entertaining and he gave a good performance. I did not enjoy Rick Braun's song selection as much as Gerald Albright's. However, the trio numbers of Albright, Braun, and White were very enjoyable. As usual, the Fraze Pavillion continues to be one of my favorite venues for an outdoor concerts. The acoustics are good and they manage the crowd very well. Every seat seems to provide a good view of the stage.

  • Exceeded expectations.

Fourplay was incredible - a masterblend of talent - smile is still on my face. Braun, Albright & White was well done.
