Over all the show was good! Richard Elliott stole the show!
Great, show. I Haven't seen Norman Brown in awhile and his performance is as fresh as it was 10 years ago. Richard Elliot is always fresh.
These are amazing artists, truly three of the finest. I only wish they had played more of what they do best. That's what the first half of the show was, Braun, Brown and Elliot being themselves, playing great new music, and some old music played their own way. What was disappointing was it seems the third part of the show went "off script" so to speak. The "contemporary jazz" concert went Funkadelic. Instead of a current hit such as Braun's "We Don't Talk Anymore" (Charlie Puth/Salena Gomez) that I was hoping to hear, the boys went into ad-lib funk mode. Okay, the Elliot take on Summer Madness (Kook and the Gang) was fun but it fits the genre. The last third of the show did not. Also, it was obvious after the show while signing autographs, 61-year-old Rick Braun was beginning to show his age. I have visited with him after shows for many years. This time, he was different from his usual jovial, conversable self. Instead he had the persona of, "Let's just get this over with and go home, I'm pooped." I'm NOT a doctor but maybe it's time to slow down just a bit? Because these guys are just so darned talented, I have to give this show four stars. Still, as I said, I do wish they had stuck to the script.
Incredible show! Scheduled for 7:30 start and they were only 10 minutes late.
That was the best jazz concert ever in Dallas, I wish we could have more like that, the lineup was awesome
Just as I anticipated, the show was great! I'm a die heart Norman Brown fan, and he (they) performed no less than 100%. I look forward to the Dallas return again.
I'm a fan of all 3 performers. The Richard Elliott rendition of Europa and Summer Madness was awesome. Norman Brown and Rick Braun were good also. Great show all the way!
Enjoyed the concert. All were very talented. Just wanted more. Concert short, no intermission or additional guest.
West coast Jam! Best smooth jazz concert in town!!!!
Richard Elliot awesome as usual! Rick Braun is so cool. Norman Brown was new to me but he was also good. Overall good concert. We thought is was a bit too short. Not even 2 hours long, but it was good.
Best jazz trio group ever!!! Norman Brown & Richard Elliott killed it
Wow, what a great concert - exactly what we expected: some great solo work, some mellow jazz, and some kick-ass jazz.
Great show just to short for the amount of the tickets.
The concert was great! It was nice to Kenny Latimore perform his all time hit "For You" live. Norman Brown, Kirk Whalum and Rick Braun always bring it! Great concert!
Outstanding! My wife can not get enough of Kenny! She keeps playing her video! Lol. BWB, WOW. I always wanted to see these Artists live in my earlier years. Excellent. Yes I would recommend this venue to friends lovers, family. Thank you soooooo much :D
The whole VIP experience was fantastic! The jazz-harpist M. Antoinette was outstanding, sensual, & classy. The dinner was exquisite. All the performing artists were awesome! The entire experience was a golden moment, shared with good people.
I must say this was a very nice concert. The concert goers were well dressed and coupled up for love on this Valentine weekend. Very mature and sophisticated crowd. Oh, the performers were great. Kenny Latimore, OMG! was the best. My husband and I enjoyed everyone. It was the best!!! Looking forward to seeing them all at another show together.
This was the perfect mix of old hits and new. These three geniuses made the evening fun, interactive, and energetic. The sound at the Terrace Theater is so great. We have been to this venue several times and are never disappointed. A wonderful evening.
THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME VISITING THIS VENUE AND I HAD A GREAT TIME. NORMAN BROWN IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE JAZZ ARTISTS AND I'VE SEEN HIM EVERYTIME HE'S BEEN HERE FROM AS FAR BACK AS WHEN HE PERFORMED AT THE WAREHOUSE CLUB/BAR DOWNTOWN ON WOOLBRIDGE ABOUT 15-20 YEARS AGO. THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT ALTHOUGH HE HAS SOOOOO MANY BEAUTIFUL SONGS, I REALLY WISH HE WOULD'VE PLAYED MORE UP TO DATE SONGS. I ALSO FEEL THE SAME WAY WITH KIRK AND RICK. THEY PLAYED SONGS 5+ YEARS OLD AND THATS NOT TO SAY I DIDN'T ENJOY MYSELF. BUT OTHER THAN THE SONG SELECTIONS, I HAD A GREAT TIME... THESE ARE JUST MY THOUGHTS AND THANKS FOR ASKING...
These guys appear to really have fun playing. The look like they Harper tremendous respect for one another. They are all stars on their own right, but together they are even better! Finally, they respect the audience by bringing in an outstanding drummer, keyboard player and bass.
