    Outstanding as always...

by Cool GC on 1/22/20House of Blues San Diego presented by Cricket Wireless - San Diego

I've been watching and listening to the Reverend for years. He and Jimbo have always put out outstanding shows. Now, with the addition of a "new" (to me) drummer and keyboard player, they've really upped the ante and added entire new dimensions to the show. I saw them at the Belly-up too last year and when the drummer and keyboardist got their own time to solo they were beyond good. The drum solo and keyboard playing were outstanding and memorable at that show. This time, the Reverend had Deke Dickerson on stage so less keyboard and drum solos (but still outstanding just leaving you wanting more). Still, Deke was a lot of fun too. He's a strong presence on the stage by himself and the rendition of Mule Skinner Blues was a perfect call and memorable performance. The Reverend and Jimbo haven't missed a beat and still are at the top of their game. The keyboard, drummer, and Deke Dickerson (for this show) were pitch perfect. Reverend shows are always worth the time and effort. Amen!

    Rev Horton Heat

by John B on 1/21/20The Observatory - Santa Ana

Overall, a good experience. I was disappointed that the Paladins were the opener. I love that band and think a band that’s been around longer than the ages of the second band should be allowed more time and have a middle time slot.

    THE REV

by D. on 1/21/20The Observatory - Santa Ana

We had such a blast at this show! We were not familiar with the opening acts but really enjoyed one of them live which is a fun way to discover a new band. The whole place was rocking from the start of the night 'till about midnight. We have seen the Rev before and always love the show but this one was entirely different! more acts, more guests, and even a surprise at the end! The venue was also great, it was a bit crowded but thinned out the later it got. No one was rowdy, there were no fights, but there was a little bit of moshing up front! Always love to see the younger crowd really get into the music. This venue also offers prefered seating but it is super expensive. Drinks are good, bartenders are fantastic and the prices aren't bad either!

    Great Show!

    by D. A. on 12/31/19Jannus Live - St Petersburg

This was my first time seeing the Reverend Horton Heat, and it was an amazing show! Having Dave Alvin come on stage and play several songs with them was fantastic.

    Great show

by Jim on 12/27/19Jannus Live - St Petersburg

Missed the 5, 6, 7, 8’s but the Voodoo Glow Skulls ska/punk was incredible. The Reverend was as good as ever, playing a mix of Xmas tunes & his own hits. Looking forward to next year. And at $32 very reasonable!

    Kickin'!

    by P. B. on 12/15/19XL Live - Harrisburg

Great venue. XL is the premier music venue in Harrisburg, which is enjoying a musical revival. The concert with The Reverend, Voodoo Glow Skulls and the 5,6,7,8's was wonderful. Surf band followed by ska band followed by rockabilly! AND DAVE ALVIN!!!!!! What's not to love?

another great holiday show by the great Rev

by misterh3 on 12/15/19Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens Bank - Boston

first rendition of this annual show was great w the Blasters and Junior Brown.. had tix to last year but didn't go. This year the Rev brought the 5,6,7,8s the great Japanese all female surf rock band featured in Kill Bill, the Voo doo Glow Skulls who are a great punk ska outfit from So Cal. and a special appearance by Dave Alvin, formerly of the Blasters... the Rev mixed his own songs, Blasters songs and traditional Xmas songs for his set.. great diverse musical line up and a real *annual pre Xmas treat... I've seen him many times and the Rev never disappoints.

Excellent show. First two acts did not fit with the show

by David on 12/8/19Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens Bank - Boston

I enjoyed the Reverend but went to see Dave Alvin. The opening first two acts did not fit with the featured acts. Hated that there was a mosh pit. If I had known about the opening I would have come much later.

    Fantastic

by The Reverend on 12/8/19Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens Bank - Boston

Saw Rev. Horton Heat, ft. Dave Alvin, The Voodoo Glow Skulls, and the 5, 6,7,8s at the Paradise on 12/5. The 5,6,7,8s went on at 730p or so and the entertainment didn't end until after midnight!! The 5,6,7,8s (from the restaurant scene in Kill Bill) we're adorable and I was only sorry I didn't bring enough cash to get their CD and a shirt. I was really there for the Glowskulls as I've been a fan of this So Cali Ska group for some time. They were good, unbelievably tight musically, but I would have liked their set to be longer, and even though it was a Christmas show, they didn't do their cover of Feliz Navidad, which is my favorite. The Rev. Has a new piano player named Lance Lipinsky who was amazing, sexy, and funny. I was already impressed with Horton Heat, and then Dave Alvin of the Blasters came out. He looked like an old cowboy, but played like best Rockabilly guitarist you can think of. Fabulous show, so impressed!
