Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon's unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. Platinum albums and radio staples soon followed, setting the stage for the release of the band's explosive Hi Infidelity in 1980, which contained the massive hit singles "Keep On Loving You" and "Take It On the Run." That landmark album spent 15 weeks in the No. 1 slot and has since earned the RIAA's coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the United States.
From 1977 to 1989, the band released nine consecutive albums all certified Platinum or higher. Today, REO Speedwagon has sold more than 40 million albums around the globe, and Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Dave Amato (guitar), Bryan Hitt (drums), and Derek Hilland (touring keyboardist) are still electrifying audiences worldwide in concert with hits and fan-favorites such as "Ridin' The Storm Out," "Can't Fight This Feeling," "Time For Me To Fly," "Roll With The Changes," the aforementioned "Keep On Loving You" and "Take It On the Run," and many, many more.
They sounded amazing. Just wish they would have played a couple more of their hits. Definitely will go see them again when they come back to the Venetian
They put on a fabulous show Very entertaining and played all their hits I would see them again Great show
Great show at the Venetian theater in Vegas. Loved the concept of playing the entire "Hi infidelity"album in the first part of the show. Catch this show if you can, it was worth the ticket price.
Amazing show, so much fun, REO sounds great. And they play all their songs just like you hear them on the radio, so you can sing right along, Great show, and the singer, Kevin, he talks to the fans and tells you a little about the songs, very personal..loved the show, seen REO a few times, and will see them a few more..love you guys..
REO and 38 Special was one of the better concerts I have seen in a while. They never cease to amaze me as how they still sound and play great. Keep playing and I'll keep coming.
Saw REO Speedwagon in concert last week, at 73 years old, lead still has got it going on - guitar rocks and drummer is AWESOME! Sound was really good and i'm glad i was able to see a part of american music history!
The facility was great, but REO Speedwagon was awesome!!! .38 Special was a terrific opening act too. They both rocked the house. It was a 2-hour drive from the Delta but well worth it.
REO and 38 Special really rocked Brandon Amphitheater. It was such a great time. My wife and I enjoyed it a lot.
Great show! First time to brandon ampitheater. 38 and REO are my favorites.
Can't believe how great thia concert was the venue was perfect but REO was incredible! They haven't lost a step!
Concert was awesome! Amphitheater has some ridiculous rules, might as well say no area for handicap to smoke, etc. Unless ( a handicap) person can climb a mountain! Can not leave if u enter, so if don't have I'd, no alcohol. Should be a arm band for paid, & arm band over 21. Most do this. Also theres ample room for a bottom layer smoking for handicap, far right. Level ground walking is acceptable
As always REO Speedwagon was awesome and always gives brings it all to their performances! These guys rock that stage like 20 year olds! Love this band! The Brandon Amphitheater was a very nice venue as well! We left saying “what a perfect night!”
My wife and I had a great time Brandon amphitheater is awesome. Reo rocked the place.
38 Special and REO was Super Great concert. It doesnt get much better than those 2 groups together on the same stage. Bringum back Brandon MS. I ready
Excellent concert. Thoroughly enjoyed 38 Special and REO. Brandon Amphitheater is always a great venue
These ol’ skool rockers ROCKED IT!!! Phenomenal show! Outstanding musicians…they sounded and looked great! And the production was as professional as it gets. I highly recommend checking them out if you get the opportunity! As extra ‘yumminess’, 38 SPECIAL opened for REO, and they were outstanding!
I had heard that REO was incredible live so expectations were high. REO went above and beyond!!! Spokesman Kevin Cronin was so personable and his commentary added to the performance. He ran around (literally) and gave one hell of a performance. Each musician was stellar - sound and vocals were amazing!!!! .38 Special opened and provided an absolutely awesome performance!! I've loved both bands since the late 70s and together provided an incredible experience that I will treasure. P.S. #IlovesongswrittenbyJimPeterik!!!
My wife and I enjoyed the evening rocking out to the sounds from two premier bands from our younger days.
38 special was first band. They were good. Not as many hits as I seemed to think but did a great job. REO was a treat! I had forgotten how many wonderful technical guitar solos they have. Their guitarist killed every song. Very impressive. The front man was entertaining, told good stories, high energy and can still sing. Definitely not like 30 years ago but plenty good. We thoroughly enjoyed the night!
The staff made every effort to help me make it a great experience for my friend with disabilities
