REEL BIG FISH IN CONCERT:

For more than two decades, California ska punk favorites Reel Big Fish have had audiences moving, shaking, and skanking up a storm with their upbeat tunes and fun-loving live shows. The band's adrenaline-filled take on traditional ska always whips fans into a frenzy, and frontman Aaron Barrett feeds off the crowd's energy as he performs catchy favorites like "Sell Out" and "Monkey Man". From Barrett's zany style and the band's brass-heavy sound to the friendly moshpit in the crowd, Reel Big Fish deliver an unforgettable concert experience fans of high-energy ska punk won't want to miss.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Reel Big Fish formed in Huntington Beach, CA in 1991 and quickly achieved popularity as part of the third wave ska movement that took the US by storm in the early '90s. After several years of playing local shows the band self-released their 1995 debut album Everything Sucks. Fans and critics embraced the album wholeheartedly, and before long the band had signed to Mojo Records. They released their sophomore album Turn the Radio Off in 1996 and scored their first hit with the single "Sell Out", an insanely catchy tune that received heavy airplay on MTV and stayed on the Billboard charts for a whopping 32 weeks. The band underwent various lineup changes in the '00s, but frontman Aaron Barrett remained a constant, leading the band on several tours during the decade including the 2008 Vans Warped Tour. In 2014 the band thrilled fans with not one release but two -- their ninth full length Bloody Street and an EP of holiday tunes titled Happy Skalidays.

    Great time

by Marquis on 6/24/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

Reel big fish played all the hits and quite a few off the new album that is a great album too. I am 53 and I brought my 16 year old daughter with me or maybe she brought me with her. Anyway, she new every song and now is RBF's biggest fan. Bowling for Soup was awesome too and I always loved Nerf Herder. We may have to make a cross country road trip to see this again. I know of a 16 year old that is up for it.

Nerf herder, bowling for soup, and reel big fish were amazing. They all were so energetic and put on a great show. After the show they took the time to say hi and sign my ticket stub even though I’m sure they were exhausted. It is definitely one of my top 5 shows!

Reel Big Fish, real little fish, and earplugs

by YourHeroKevin on 10/26/18The Queen - Wilmington

Reel Big Fish was as good as I have ever heard them. Both opening bands (We Are the Union and Ballyhoo!) were a lot of fun. When I first arrived and bought a drink at the bar (the RBF special), the bartender put a swedish fish on the glass as "garnish." Just a goofy little thing that was much appreciated. Typically at more raucous shows, I wear earplugs for the opening band(s) and take them out for the headliner (unless it is still extremely loud). This night I forgot earplugs. I happened ti see a suplly behind the bar and assumed they were for the bar staff. I asked the bartender if I could purchase a set. She handed them over and said, "you're good." Again, it was much appreciated. Great people. Clean venue. And Reel Big Fish hasn't lost a step.

Had a blast!!! Always a great venue!! Drank a lot of ice cold beers. The idiot at the main gate needed to have at least a little bit of knowledge of what he was suppose to be doing. I asked him where the will call was and he didn't know. And responded in a rude way. Just to find out he was standing 10 feet away. But others then that had a blast and RBF rocked as usual. Saw them 10 years ago at the Concrete Street Ampitheatre. Had a blast back then too

Words cannot describe the enjoyment me and my friend Gary felt at this concert it was our first concert and it will be a memory we will never forget from meeting Aaron Barrett before the show all the amazing bands and being the only ones outside the tour bus to get stuff signed by the bands. It was a night we will never forget and th 3 hour car ride there was definitely worth it.

Reel Big Fish always a great show

    by SkaFan614 on 7/3/17Aura - Portland

Reel Big Fish always puts on an entertaining program. Mostly played older hits with a few of the new songs and of course some great covers sprinkled in. Opening acts Tunnel Vision and The Expendables were also great however The Queers' performance was forgettable - guitar was so loud you couldn't hear the vocals. Venue was very small meaning the dance pit was much closer to the front than usual. Lots of spilled drinks on the wooden dance floor. Crowd was very excitable leading to a good atmosphere overall. I did not have a chance to partake in the craft beer experience earlier in the day.

Amazing show, great opening bands. Venue security was going a little over the top, though. Chill out and let people enjoy the show!

    So much fun

by Emmie on 1/30/17The Masquerade - Atlanta

This was the best night ever! Anti-Flag was amazing. I am not sure who Bally-Hoo was, but they were awful. The opening band, Phew, Phew, Phew was adoreable. Anti-Flag always does an excellent job. They are such the happyness

    Highly Recommended

by RichieBear on 1/30/17The Masquerade - Atlanta

Anti-Flag was enjoyable, punk-rock with compassion, and then RBG brought down the house! I wasn't looking forward to the new Masquerade venue, because I'm quite fond of the old North Avenue mill location, but have to admit the new Underground Atlanta digs are a vast improvement as far as stage, sound, lighting, ventilation, parking, in fact darn near everything was better and more convenient.

Anti-Flag never disappoints. I've seen them countless times over the years in Detroit. This was my first time outside of Michigan, and it was just great.
