About

REEL BIG FISH IN CONCERT:

For more than two decades, California ska punk favorites Reel Big Fish have had audiences moving, shaking, and skanking up a storm with their upbeat tunes and fun-loving live shows. The band's adrenaline-filled take on traditional ska always whips fans into a frenzy, and frontman Aaron Barrett feeds off the crowd's energy as he performs catchy favorites like "Sell Out" and "Monkey Man". From Barrett's zany style and the band's brass-heavy sound to the friendly moshpit in the crowd, Reel Big Fish deliver an unforgettable concert experience fans of high-energy ska punk won't want to miss.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Reel Big Fish formed in Huntington Beach, CA in 1991 and quickly achieved popularity as part of the third wave ska movement that took the US by storm in the early '90s. After several years of playing local shows the band self-released their 1995 debut album Everything Sucks. Fans and critics embraced the album wholeheartedly, and before long the band had signed to Mojo Records. They released their sophomore album Turn the Radio Off in 1996 and scored their first hit with the single "Sell Out", an insanely catchy tune that received heavy airplay on MTV and stayed on the Billboard charts for a whopping 32 weeks. The band underwent various lineup changes in the '00s, but frontman Aaron Barrett remained a constant, leading the band on several tours during the decade including the 2008 Vans Warped Tour. In 2014 the band thrilled fans with not one release but two -- their ninth full length Bloody Street and an EP of holiday tunes titled Happy Skalidays.

    Awesome, Hilarious, and Fun!

by Lindz on 8/4/19The Depot - Salt Lake City

I loved them and Bowling for Soup. I bought the ticket because I've been a fan of Bowling for Soup since seeing them on MTV and hearing them on the radio too back in high school. I met them in person in 2005 in Mitchell, SD. They are just as fun now as they were then and just as down to earth, approachable. Reel Big Fish was so much fun! Both BFS and RBF involve the audience through out their SETS. I first saw Reel Big Fish last year at Warped Tour so it was amazing to see a band back again so soon! Id do it all over again in a minute

    Fun

by A. D. on 7/28/19Crystal Bay Club Casino Crown Room - Crystal Bay

The venue was smaller than I expected but that made it easier to get to the front of the stage. Parking was easy since they have a parking for the casino.

    The tribes have joined

by Aquadad on 7/15/19Uptown Theater - Kansas City

Great show! What a wonderful way to share the 90s Ska love with a new generation. The Aquabats have proved they can headline their own show, but the shared stage with RBF made for a great show. Outstanding performance!!

    Another great show

by Tromaking on 7/6/19Bogart's presented by Cricket Wireless - Cincinnati

Do the Aquabat really go with Reel Big Fish? Well, I'm not really sure. However, the show was great even with all the kids around. Both bands never let you down. Bogarts is a great venue. Beer prices suck like everywhere but it isa great place to catch a show.

    Amazing Experience!

by J. K. on 7/1/19The Fillmore Silver Spring presented by Cricket Wireless - Silver Spring

First time at the venue, very nice place (Filmore MD). Themed beverage options relating to the bands that played was a nice touch. Great sound quality and attentive security persons to help keep things civilized when the pit got a little too rowdy. Overall it was an awesome night out and one I'll be sure to be talking about for a while to come!

Top notch performance by Reel Big Fish and Bowling for Soup

by M. on 6/28/19The Fillmore Silver Spring presented by Cricket Wireless - Silver Spring

The venue (The Fillmore Silver Spring) isn't terrific compared to other venues, but the location is great. Though I missed the opener (Nerf Herder), Reel Big Fish and Bowling for Soup were phenomenal.

    Great bands, terrible venue setup

by B. L. on 6/25/19House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

I understand that a sold-out show will get crowded & I might get bumped a few times from people going to the bar or restroom. That's fine. What's not fine is a lack of compensating air conditioning, especially on one of the hottest days of the year. My roommate was nauseous enough from the heat after the first band that she had to leave. Hubs & I stayed for the second, but were also nauseous & light-headed from heat & missed the headliner. During the 2nd, someone near us got sick from the heat. Inside was no cooler than outside, just slightly less humid. It was absolutely ridiculous and makes me hesitate to see other shows here outside winter.
