Red Hot Chilli Peppers on Tour

To many, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers are more than just a Los Angeles rock band from the '80s -- they're musical pioneers who took the world by storm with their eclectic blend of funky, alternative punk rock laced with hip-hop that sounded unlike anything anyone had heard before. The band first formed in Los Angeles in 1983 and quickly gained a following large enough to sell 300,000 copies of their debut self-titled album. Over the next few years, the band experimented with different musical genres and went through lineup changes, proving themselves to be one of the most innovative and resilient rock groups in recent history. In 2022, the Grammy-winning band released Unlimited Love -- their 12th studio album and first one with original guitarist John Frusciante since 2006's Stadium Arcadium. Celebrating the release of the new album, the band hit the road for a global tour featuring all four original members -- vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and Frusciante.  Be sure to see this legendary ensemble back in action performing classic hits and new songs by grabbing tickets to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in a city near you today.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers Live in Concert

In 1987, Red Hot Chili Peppers were named Band of the Year by LA Weekly, but the band really hit their stride with their fourth album, 1989's Mother's Milk, which cracked the Billboard 200 and went gold a year later. The RHCP had earned worldwide recognition by the time they dropped Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991). The album reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and the album's first single, "Give It Away," took off like wildfire, soaring to the top of the charts and eventually winning the band a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal in 1993. The album also featured the single "Under the Bridge," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 -- their highest-charting single to date. To promote what some might call the Red Hot Chili Peppers' magnum opus, 1991's Blood Sugar Sex Magik, three of the era's biggest bands -- Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam -- joined the Blood Sugar Sex Magik tour as opening acts. Whenever it was time for the headlining set to come on, seeing the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in concert would always feel like an invigorating burst of energy for all the people packed into sold-out stadiums. Their funk-rap breakdowns, animated stage presence, and minimal clothing attire offered relief from the brooding grunge of the punk-metal status quo. All in all, Blood Sugar Sex Magik was a tremendous commercial success, selling 12 million copies to date, cinching the #186 position on Rolling Stone's list of the Top 500 Albums of All Time, and winning three out of the seven MTV Music Award nominations it received.

The band made the Rolling Stone Top 500 list a second time with Californication (1999), their seventh studio album and most successful yet with 16 million copies sold. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers supported the album on tour for two consecutive years at sold-out venues across the world. The album lit a californi-craze for the RHCP that has burned steady since. The first live album, recorded during a 2004 Red Hot Chilli Pepper concert in Hyde Park, was the No. 1 event of the year on Billboard's Top Concert Boxscores with a record-breaking number of 258,000 fans and a total of over $17 million in tickets sold in the span of three nights.

Since then, they've been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2012), released a handful of more albums: 2006's Stadium Arcadium, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200; 2011's I'm With You, which hit No. 2; and 2016's The Getaway, which also peaked at No. 2.

    Too short

by Kim on 2/20/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Venue is great! And always luv Chili Peppers but for ticket price a barely 90 min show wasn’t a great value. Don’t know if it is set by Venue or if they chose to do such a short show?? Was a little disappointing, especially since it required a hotel stay etc on top of the high ticket price (and we were 4th deck!!!!)

Great show at an intimate venue

by philwa on 2/20/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

4500 seat venue to see a band that plays stadiums. JF is one on the best guitarists in the world, Flea and JF jamming was the highlight of the show. First time seeing chad with RHCP (seen him with earthlings and Losers) and he was amazing. The show was tight and hit all the right songs.

    Great concert, nice venue~

by Nickernoo on 2/20/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Chili Peppers were incredible! The venue is very nice. It would have been convenient if they would have let people out of the side doors when exiting the venue, which would have went straight to the parking lot. Instead you have to go all the way back through the casino and come back around. Still overall, a good experience

Great seeing RHCP in a smaller venue

by jolo on 2/20/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Really enjoyed seeing them at this venue, much more intimate than a stadium gig. Sound was great, crowd was so-so, lots of people spent the show going back and forth to the bar! Anyhow, a really fun & energetic set - just wish they played a bit longer.

    Overpriced venue

by Bee on 2/20/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

This was my 10th RHCP show but was the first time in the venue. The sound was okay with the higher price as long as the sound quality warranted it. Unfortunately, the sound disappointed and not so much of the band. I will see the band again, but will limited what shows I see in this newer theater.

    Horrible

by Ac on 1/14/24Camping World Stadium - Orlando

The show has taken place in a middle of an extreme thunderstorm, and people went with trash bags on top of their clothes. We came all the way from Miami to enjoy it but ended up giving up at the last minute because we didn’t want to get sick on our honeymoon. It’s a shame they didn’t postpone the show/refunded.

One of the best live bands

    by Caliman on 12/3/23

So much color and flashing lights. Would recommend if you have epilepsy. But if you’re a concertgoer, they should be on your bucket list.

    FANTASTIC!

by DiamondHands on 10/25/23Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

The only negative thing I can say about this event is that the staff working at the event should be more helpful and involved in guiding spectators to the seat. Other than that, Red Hot Chili Peppers are a vibe and they were amazing! At the time of me leaving this review I want to say this was my second time seeing them live. I will definitely see them again next time they're in town.

    🌶️=🔥

    by EDDIE on 10/20/23

Such a fun concert, just wished they played more of their classic stuff as their newer stuff is kinda boring. Even if your not a fan, you could at least appreciate the in amazing talent and their ability to stand the test of time.

    No Under the Bridge!

by Leslie on 10/5/23Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

I was just really disappointed that Red Hot chili peppers did not play under the bridge. It’s my all-time favorite song. Been waiting since I was 13 years old 30 years ago to have the opportunity to hear them sing this song live. But it was still pretty good and the venue was fine. Just quite disappointed that they didn’t play the best song they ever made.

    A Dream Come True

by GP on 10/4/23Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

I have been a fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers since I was 12 years old. My 30’s are nearing, and it has been my dream to see them live. Finally, my dreams came true. They were amazing, phenomenal; it was pure love and joy seeing them. If I could go back in time and tell my younger self, who did have opportunities to see them but life/school threw in a curveball - by God I would tell my younger self you will see them. You will be hit with this opportunity very much unexpectedly, and you will have the absolute time of your life. I am still so over the moon that I got to see them. Words cannot truly express how incredible the Red Hot Chili Peppers are live. I hope this is not my last time seeing them.

    Show was great; Venue terrible

by Noelle on 10/3/23Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

The Hersheypark Stadium lacks everything needed to support a show of this size. They were disorganized, not clean, and far below true stadium standards.
