About

REBA MCENTIRE IN CONCERT:

With 28 albums, 35 No. 1 singles, and an eponymous TV show, country superstar Reba McEntire belongs to a select group of artists that command household name status with their first name alone. Reba may be the unofficial "Queen of Country," but it's her fans that get the royal treatment when she hits the road with her powerful voice and airtight backing band. With a host of tour dates in 2014, Reba's charming smile and disarmingly sweet voice will be rocking arenas — and booties — around the country.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Reba has an amazing voice to hear live and she is so full of energy. I loved how she took us down memory lane to the present. "

"We sang, danced , laughed , clapped, and cried. Reba puts on one Hell of a show."

“Reba put on a high energy performance and her band is wonderful. She played old favorites and new songs. Her voice is beautiful and she knows how to relate to the audience."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Reba got her start singing in her high school band and performing at local rodeos. After attracting the attention of country artist Red Steagall, she landed a deal with Mercury records, resulting in her self-titled solo debut in 1977. Following relatively minor success with her first few albums, Reba took creative control on 1984's My Kind of Country, which became her breakthrough album thanks to No. 1 singles "How Blue" and "Somebody Should Leave." With the release of Whoever's in New England in 1986, she achieved her first No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart — a feat she has gone on to repeat over ten times, making her one of the top-selling country artists of all time.

My husband and I go to Reba's shows every time she is at Mohegan Sun. We always come out saying what a great show it was. Her love for the music and for her audience is very apparent. Reba always looks like she is having as much fun as her fans are. And she always puts the icing on the cake with her finale of "Fancy" in her glittering red dress!

    Reba was Amazing

by ewalk on 8/23/10Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Steve Azar was the opener for Reba and he was amazing. We had meet and greet passes and that in it's self was worth the cost of the ticket. The seats were way up in the nose bleed section and I felt like if I stood up I might fall down because of how steep it was but the concert it's self was amazing. Reba Rocks!!

    Reba

by KristiKristi on 8/23/10St Leonard Fire Department - St Leonard

Not only did she sound great she puts on a great show. I loved her opening act. It was very entertaining. I was really happy that she didn't encourage the audience to stand up because I didn't feel like standing the whole show. The volunteers were very pleasant and helpful. I also didn't see any fights!

    Reba- great entertainer!!

by Lisa67 on 8/23/10Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

This was a great show from openning act (Steve Azar) to the performance that Reba put on. She played older songs as well as new ones which i really liked. Her band was fantastic especially the female singer that did a duet w/ her ( great voice & just as strong as Reba's). We had a blast! We wanted the show to last longer, seemed too short, over before 11p.

The show was fantastic. I saw Reba on Broadway, where she was great. This was the first concert of hers I attended and it ended way too soon.

The pre-concert by the non-reba singer was way too long and noisy, leaving not much time for real Reba performance.

Reba- Terminally cute and very professional.

by BillZ222 on 8/23/10Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Once again talent wins out. Reba came to the stage and wowed her audience with a varied and personal performance which left the legions happy, very happy. Backed by a strong nine piece band, she strutted her way through well received tunes both old and new. As always, Reba appears at ease with her celebrity and with her many, multi generational, fans. Reba also brought out her comedic sidekick from her TV show for a skit which was funny in the beginning, but got overly long (maybe 10-12 minutes) and flattened out at the end.

    Reba was great as always

by sherm213 on 8/23/10Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Reaba has been my favorite artist over the years, from the first concertat our county fair to the large events now, she has that "it" factor that you are either born with or not. I have seen her about 7 or 8 times now and she just gets better with age.
