About

REBA MCENTIRE IN CONCERT:

With 28 albums, 35 No. 1 singles, and an eponymous TV show, country superstar Reba McEntire belongs to a select group of artists that command household name status with their first name alone. Reba may be the unofficial "Queen of Country," but it's her fans that get the royal treatment when she hits the road with her powerful voice and airtight backing band. With a host of tour dates in 2014, Reba's charming smile and disarmingly sweet voice will be rocking arenas — and booties — around the country.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Reba has an amazing voice to hear live and she is so full of energy. I loved how she took us down memory lane to the present. "

"We sang, danced , laughed , clapped, and cried. Reba puts on one Hell of a show."

“Reba put on a high energy performance and her band is wonderful. She played old favorites and new songs. Her voice is beautiful and she knows how to relate to the audience."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Reba got her start singing in her high school band and performing at local rodeos. After attracting the attention of country artist Red Steagall, she landed a deal with Mercury records, resulting in her self-titled solo debut in 1977. Following relatively minor success with her first few albums, Reba took creative control on 1984's My Kind of Country, which became her breakthrough album thanks to No. 1 singles "How Blue" and "Somebody Should Leave." With the release of Whoever's in New England in 1986, she achieved her first No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart — a feat she has gone on to repeat over ten times, making her one of the top-selling country artists of all time.

Reba had the whole audience in the palm of her hand. This is the third time we have seen her, and she gives her fans everything she has. The band was fantastic; she gives you some old; some current and a little of what's to come. There are only 5 or 6 women who could carry-off a as the country headliner... and with Martina the #2; Reba is still the # 1.

by Shiba78 on 8/22/10Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

The concert was perfect. Reba was full of energy and her opening act Steve Azar was excellent. Melissa Peterman from Reba showed up and added laughter to a perfect night. Reba sounds as good in person as she does on CD. Thanks to Reba, her band, Melissa and Steve's group for an unforgettable night. Even my husband enjoyed himself....

    Great Show

by canslead on 8/21/10Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

The concert was amazing. Reba always puts on a good show. Her dedication to her music along with her personable nature makes all that she does wonderful and truly seems from the heart. My nine year old son was amazed and thrilled by the whole experience!! The arena is not the greatest venue for music acts. In the opening act, the music seemed blaring and muttled. Reba's music was clearer but the positioning of the seats compared to where the three screens were was poor. Giant speakers covered half the largest, a plexiglass mini-wall at the bottom of stairs blocked half the closest screen and all we could see clearly was the furthest away which was darker due to the distance. On the other hand, it seemed there were no seats where you couldn't at least see who/what you were looking at without the screen Fav moment: When Reba came out w/the song my son had listened to over and over when he was younger then when she finished with his new fav song...it was his 1st concert.

    Reba Still has it

by 2happyfans on 8/21/10Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

I took my 10 yr old daughter who hadn't heard much of Reba but when we left the show she was hooked. I've been to many of Reba's concerts over the years but I truly can say this was one of her best performances it was simple and down to earth right down to the stage set up and Reba's outfit it was like singing along with a friend. I remember she used to sing Fancy as her opening song and I loved that she made it her encore song. I was a littel disappointed that she didn't sing her signature song When Whoevers In New England because that would have been awesome to hear in our neck of the woods New England. All I can say is that I loved the show didn't want it to end.
