About

REBA MCENTIRE IN CONCERT:

With 28 albums, 35 No. 1 singles, and an eponymous TV show, country superstar Reba McEntire belongs to a select group of artists that command household name status with their first name alone. Reba may be the unofficial "Queen of Country," but it's her fans that get the royal treatment when she hits the road with her powerful voice and airtight backing band. With a host of tour dates in 2014, Reba's charming smile and disarmingly sweet voice will be rocking arenas — and booties — around the country.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Reba has an amazing voice to hear live and she is so full of energy. I loved how she took us down memory lane to the present. "

"We sang, danced , laughed , clapped, and cried. Reba puts on one Hell of a show."

“Reba put on a high energy performance and her band is wonderful. She played old favorites and new songs. Her voice is beautiful and she knows how to relate to the audience."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Reba got her start singing in her high school band and performing at local rodeos. After attracting the attention of country artist Red Steagall, she landed a deal with Mercury records, resulting in her self-titled solo debut in 1977. Following relatively minor success with her first few albums, Reba took creative control on 1984's My Kind of Country, which became her breakthrough album thanks to No. 1 singles "How Blue" and "Somebody Should Leave." With the release of Whoever's in New England in 1986, she achieved her first No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart — a feat she has gone on to repeat over ten times, making her one of the top-selling country artists of all time.

    Reba was amazing!

by steeleme2004 on 7/18/09Wind Creek Casino and Hotel - Atmore

This was Wind Creek's first concert, and it went off without a hitch. Reba is such a grateful and talented singer. It was definitely an intimate night with Reba as promised. Her encore was "Fancy", and she dazzled us all in her little red dress.

Reba was great but a short concert

by JodiConrad on 7/18/09Wind Creek Casino and Hotel - Atmore

Reba was great. She sounds just like she does on the radio and that was nice because it shows she has talent without all the editing. I just wish her concert was longer than an hour.

    Reba at Atmore

by Busybee on 7/18/09Wind Creek Casino and Hotel - Atmore

Reba and her band put on a great show at Wind Creek Casino in Atmore, AL. Outdoor venue but weather cooled and it was a great evening to be outside. Venue was fairly small but set up nicely. Very good experience overall.

Reba at Wind Creek Casino in Atmore-Awesome show

by MarilynB on 7/18/09Wind Creek Casino and Hotel - Atmore

Reba was awesome! Great show!!!!! However, I did not like the seating arrangement. The seats (stands) could have been on a more incline so we could have stood up. I believe it was an insult for us not to be able to stand. People behind could not see if we stood up. If we stood up we got shouted at to sit down! It was somewhat dull to not be able to get into the full concert by not being able to stand! I do perfer inside concerts!

    Reba was fabulous!

by SuZQ on 7/11/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

Her music is astounding and the stories behind her career decisions are to the point and easily understood. She comes across as someone who could easily be your best friend but brings on the extra effort to share her amazing gift with all who will appreciate it. The songs (as she sings them) somehow seem to be even better at each venue.

    Move the speakers!

by Idahogirl on 7/11/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

Reba is an amazing performer. Her music was wonderful. However, we were seated in the side bleachers and could not see the large screen projection of the performance. Since we were up a distance, Reba was a small figurine on the stage. It would have been nice to have the chance to see a close-up of the performance. If it were at all possible, I would brainstorm a realignment of those huge hanging speakers.

    by copper1515 on 7/11/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

She always does a solid show.... funny and cute with a big, big voice. She has mellowed over the years but it worth seeing for sure. Was nice as no opening act to sit through.,

    Too loud

by Herb on 7/10/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

My wife and I, as well as several people we spoke to as we were leaving and in the C-train, felt that the performance was too loud. It was hard to hear and enjoy her voice over the guitars and drums. We won't go to a performance like this again. Neil Diamond, Anne Murray and Sarah Brightman performances at other locations in the USA were much more pleasant on the ears. Every performance at Branson MO was a pleasure too. My ears were ringing or hissing for at least three hours afterwards. I believe the volume was at an unsafe level.

Great evening of entertainment with Rita!

by Nibs on 7/10/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

July 10 2009 We enjoyed the evening with 'Rita' BUT...the music was wayyyyyyy, way too loud! Unable to rate the quality of 'Rita's singing due to the loudness of the instruments. She is a great 'entertainer' and works her audience very well. She blew the house away with her singing of 'Because of You'!! Thanks for the 'evening'!!

    Reba Reba Reba

    by Oilbaron2001 on 7/10/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

Reba was great, singing for 80 minutes was amazing considering how warm it was in the building. Her encore was only one song but her red dress was beautiful. The disappointing part was all the hype and hearing about her previous concerts and looking forward to see her many costumes, fun things, etc... which didn't happen. But her Concert was still very good, beautiful voice and her interaction with the fans was great. Sad to see so many empty seats but it is Stampede week and one can only go to so many things. It was still GREAT to see Reba!!!!!!!

    Reba was fantastic!

by BookLady on 7/10/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

Reba was in fine form - we enjoyed every minute! ! No lipsinking - her voice sounded great and she looks amazing - she's 54 years old.. The time flew by and I was really disapointed when it had to come to an end. If you have the chance definately go see her. My only complaint was that the show was a little short - just under 90 minutes - we could have had another couple of hits - she has lots and with a new CD to promote I would have thought the concert would have been longer.

    Reba the Queen

by Guido on 7/10/09Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary

What can one say - REBA is the queen, and will be for a long time. I only wish that she got more of the respect and accolades that she deserves. The music industry has no idea the impact this woman has made on it.
