    Ramin is unbelieveable!

by Brightgoldenhaze on 5/18/13Birchmere - Alexandria

This is the second time I have purchased tickets to see Ramin and for both concerts I was unable to travel. I can give him the best possible review, however, because I have been following him daily for over a year now and see all of his videos of all of his concerts except one where they would not allow cameras. He is the ultimate performer and someday I will see him. He always praises Birchmere.

    Broadway to Bluegrass was phenomenal!!!

by Yendys on 5/18/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Ramin Karimloo and his entire band were absolutely amazing. The way they interacted with the audience, including going out to sing in the middle of it was beyond awesome. The music was fantastic as was the overall experience. I can't wait until they come back!

Awesome, great show great band, could have listened all night all day. Service great, food good, but even without that would have waited all day for this show, and still been thrilled.

    BroadGrass Rocks!

    by Britwit12 on 5/18/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Go see Ramin if you get the chance! He's a delight. The show was full of musical energy and talent. Great support band too. They worked well together and the sound was wonderful. Ramin's presence is confident and commanding, yet humble and gracious at the same time. If you appreciate the grand songs of Broadway (or London's West End) as well as some homespun Bluegrass, you should try to see Ramin Karimloo. I'm a new fan!

    Love Broadgrass Music!!!

by HokiePhantomFan on 5/18/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Ramin and Broadgrass band will not disappoint! What an amazing night of entertainment! The idea of mixing broadway songs with a fiddle and banjo is brilliant! Of course, Ramin's powerful yet mesmerizing voice is the major reason this musical mix is successful. Ramin's interaction with the audience is genuine and comical. So cool that he played in the middle of the room for two songs during his encore! Even better was the time he spent after the show to sign autographs and meet his fans!! He is a classy performer who truly cares about his music and his fans. The show is definitely 'family friendly'! My husband and I brought our two young sons. We all loved it! In a heartbeat, we would go see Ramin again!!

    Ramin! Ramin! Ramin!

by autiemom on 2/8/13The Birchmere - Alexandria

His work covers so many genres of music and he takes them all on so beautifully. His voice is unforgettable and his stage presence is mesmerizing. I do hope that one day he will bring along fellow Sheytoons member Hadley Fraser and play some of their material too. It is wonderful.

Ramin Karimloo and Show Me Light Tour

by Robbinsroost on 12/7/12BBKing's Blues Club - New York City

I attended this event in Atlanta , Georgia, Chicago, Ill, and both shows in NYC. Ramin is an awesome performer. He has this huge theater voice, but he likes to sing Bluegrass, so he did a little of both at all these shows. He sand "Music of the Night," because of course, he is the best Phantom ever, and he sang "Coming Home," reprising his role as Jean ValJean in "Les Miserables." He then did a few of his own compositions, and some songs off his album. Ramin is such a kind person, also, which is probably the main reason why he has fans so devoted that they will travel near and far to see him perform. He stood in long lines after the shows, shaking hands, meeting and greeting, and posing for photos. Ramin is a class act, and I would advise anyone to go to any of his performances that they can attend.

    A Night with Ramin Karimloo

    by An1taLuv on 11/28/12Birchmere - Alexandria

Ramin, his band, and special guest, Sheri Miller, were great. For those of you who just know Ramin Karimloo from his theatre work, I want you to know that he is not just for the musical theatre fans. He is a very versatile artist. He didn't just do covers from musicals or his own songs; he also covered songs from Johnny Cash, Green Day, Cat Stevens, etc. There was a great setlist that included country, folk, bluegrass, rock, vocals, and of course musical theatre. So, no matter what genre you prefer, you won't be disappointed. I certainly wasn't. I had a great night.

    Road to Find Out Tour

by KellyRP on 11/25/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Ramin was everything and more and this venue was fabulous. I got pretty close and was able to talk to the people at my table without problem. Plus after the show Ramin stayed until all of us, even us who were last in line, got a photo and autograph. Totally worth every moment. this man is an amazing performer.

Ramin Karimloo - Best in Entertainment!

by kmac828 on 10/2/12B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Ramin's ability to charm and entertain is beyond compare. His voice has an amazing range in keys as well as genres. He sang songs from Broadway/London's West End to gospel to bluegrass. It was a fantastic evening and we all loved the closeness the venue provided in interacting with Ramin and his band even while they were on stage. The only issue was waiting for the show to begin. It was quite warm in Lucille's and it was not very organized while everyone lined up waiting to enter the room. Additionally, the elevator at BB Kings NYC requires going up stairs and then back down the stairs so it is not easily handicap accessible.

    Amazing

by JFletch on 9/26/12Birchmere - Alexandria

I hadn't been to an event like this in more than two decades. I'm so glad I left my 'cave' and dragged my daughters with me to attend. Ramin is an amazing and versatile performer. We greatly enjoyed the entire evening: Ramin, band, atmosphere, food, etc. Will definitely visit the Birchmere again, especially if Mr. Karimloo returns.

    Incredible!

    by Orchid021 on 9/25/12Birchmere - Alexandria, VA

This guy is an incredible talent. I fell in love with his voice through his musical theater performances several years ago, but he can sing anything. He covered everything from hymns, to blue grass, to rock, to country, to musical theater and all were STELLAR. Not to mention he writes and plays his own music. Not a show to be missed.

Didn't know he was a musician and actor

    by nurse60 on 9/20/12Birchmere - Alexandria

Loved when he sang Make Them Hear You from Ragtime. Hope it's on next CD. Very humble and personable performer. Wish could see show again. A few of the songs, his voice was drowned out by the band. Beautiful voice. Glad he did not cancel the show due to not up to par in his opinion. My opinion is he sounded great. Thanks for the encore.

Ramin and his Band Are Spectacular.

    by Claire2102 on 9/20/12Birchmere - Alexandria

Went to this concert by myself, at the suggestion of a friend who went to the concert in Pittsburgh. As always, the Birchmere is wonderful as a venue for talent. Ramin is my new fav! He is genuine in his talent to perform six different styles of music, spectacular voice and generous in sharing the stage with his band members. So nice to enjoy such diverse talents in one concert. He had fun with the audience and I felt he was thoroughly enjoying the performance with each of us in the audience. This included him taking pictures of us taking pictures of him on his birthday. It was so worth the effort to go during the tornado warnings.

    Ramin was suprising and awesome.

by TRAINEDCRITIC on 9/20/12Birchmere - Alexandria

Surprising is the most accurate way to describe the performance by Ramin Karimloo at the Birthmere on Tuesday evening. I was expecting the operatic tenor from Phantom of the Opera and was not disappointed, but was most surprised by his ability to downshift into country. blues, traditional show music, gospel, and self composition. He does all of these absolutely seamlessly. Ramin very personally plays with his audience and is a very pleasant presence on stage. It is not beyond him to jump off the stage and engulf himself in a sea of fans so he can have pictures of them for his scrapbook. This fellow is an obvious North American (Canadian) who has not acquired pretense about himself in any way. As a veteran of hours of vocal lessons as a young man, I was always told to support the tone from the diaphram and to move the sound up into your facial mask. This is a very difficult concept. Ramin makes what all those teachers chirped about crystal clear. The power is especially unusual at the top end of his vocal register. Like the late Luciano Pavoratti, there is a warmth on the high end notes which makes a listener believe Ramin can always move one note higher. The audience is not made uncomfortable by the singer straining for the high notes. Ramin just doesn't. The backup band and singers were excellent. The audience would not let the troupe off stage so they came back for encore after encore. He finally just said he would go on untill his voice gave out. After 2 and 1/2 hours he was still sounding great. He got three deserved standing ovations. From "The Music of the Night" to " Bring Him Home" to bluegrass to "Ragtime," to the theme from "Shrek" and "Folsum Prison Blues" Ramin didn't disappoint. His biggest career challenge may lie in how one can categorize a talent like his. Each genre is performed for its own value. He, himself, plays piano, guitar, and (what I suspect is his favorite) banjo. He does not sound like an opera singer trying to reach down into less demanding material. He brings it all off. I'd see him again in a New York minute. And you should too!

    Wide-Ranging Artist

    by osunurse74 on 9/20/12Birchmere - Alexandria

What a terrific show! Rather than "play it safe" and sing musical theatre classics, Ramin and his talented band gave us a blend of folk, bluegrass, a touch of country and inspirational music. A very enoyable evening with his amazing vocal range - what a voice! My daughter added that he's "scrumptious" too!

    Ramin Rocks!

by Stimkids on 9/20/12Birchmere - Alexandria

I had seen Ramin perform Broadway tunes in various productions and was wowed from the start but I was unprepared with how talented he is musically. Not only can he sing, but he composes, plays guitar, banjo and the piano. If you go to his performace to hear the Broadway tunes, you won't be disappointed but his original compositions are fantastic! I loved his orignal music so much I ordered the CD the next day. Ramin is funny and at ease with the audience and I can't wait to see him perform again!
