About

Queen + Adam Lambert on Tour

In 2018, the legend of Queen — the larger-than-life band that's been making grandiose, orchestrally inspired rock songs since 1970 — came to the big screen with Bohemian Rhapsody, a film about the life of original lead singer Freddie Mercury.

Led by Mercury and charged by the pyrotechnic guitars of Brian May, the commanding drums of Roger Taylor, and the rumbling yet melodic basslines of John Deacon, Queen blazed a bright trail through the rock world in the 1970s and '80s. They showcased their stunning vocal harmonies on tracks like the mini-epic "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the peppy "Don't Stop Me Now." They showed off their wide range on sonically disparate tracks like the disco-tinged "Another One Bites the Dust," the sweetly longing "Somebody to Love," and the arena staple "We Will Rock You."

Mercury passed away in 1991, but his legacy loomed large, and Queen's presence on classic rock radio and in pop culture resulted in the band commanding the imaginations of younger listeners. One of those fans was Adam Lambert, a San Diego singer who sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" when he tried out for the eighth season of American Idol.

Powered by his inventive reworkings of songs, towering voice, and overwhelming charisma, Lambert finished second in the show's 2009 balloting. May and Taylor — who appeared on that season's finale and performed with Lambert and eventual winner Kris Allen — were keenly aware of Lambert's range and innovation.

Lambert, May, and Taylor first performed as a unit at the MTV Europe Awards in November 2011, and a year later they played their first concert as Queen + Adam Lambert. Since then, they've toured the world, honoring Mercury's memory while bringing Queen's electrifying catalog to life on a nightly basis. In 2019, Queen + Adam Lambert will embark on the Rhapsody Tour, a 23-date North American tour that, in the words of May, will "rip it apart and get even more ambitious" than their previous jaunts.

Brian & Roger are still The Champions

by 1st Queen concert March 3, 1977 on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

My first cocnert ever was Queen at The Forum ("Los Angeles") on March 3, 1977. They opened with "Tie Your Mother Down". I saw Queen live four different tour and Freddie and the band were outstanding. I liked Lambert on Idol and i thought i would not see this new incarnation. But I decided to take my wife and see Brian and Roger once more. The sound, guitars, visuals and energy is top notch. Lambert sounds terrific. The set list appeals to the causal Queen fan. So may hits and deep cuts are not played as I heard decades ago from the first five albums but what is played is oustanding. BMO Stadium is relatively new and although it's primarily a soccer stadium it is great for live concert at 20,000 capacity for a concert. Go see Queen/Lambert. Love live Queen.

    BMO sound issues

by Colingolingo on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Had some bad echoing a few times during the set. Also getting access to the floor sets required you to enter through just few entrances making getting down time consuming

    Queen and Adam rock

by gturner on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Queen and Adam Lambert are amazing! I couldn't ask for more. However, I would not attend another concert at the BMO stadium. Unless you are front and center, you can't see the screens without obstruction and they are small and angled very oddly. Also, the stage was not big enough for Adam and the band. They were cramped and it cramped his style. The logistics getting into and out of the stadium are horrendous as well. They need a lot of process improvement!

    Great as ever!

by Steve H on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

First the good; Queen are always fantastic and I will continue to go to their concerts, as long as they continue to tour. This makes the 6th time to see them in the last 10 years with Adam Lambert, and I was lucky enough to see them in 1985 with the original line up at Live Aid. This was by far the best stage show of the new era that I have seen and well worth the very expensive tickets. Now the bad; This is the worst venue that I have ever been to in 50 years of going to concerts. The parking, marshaling and single entrance to floor seating was pitiful. It took almost 1:45 minutes to get to my seat, from when I pulled along side it in my car, and the show start time had been delayed by 45 minutes to try and get the attendees in (I missed the first 20 minutes of the show) The stadium still had more people waiting outside trying to get in than were actually seated! I will never go to this venue to see any event again (not even Queen) and I would recommend that this place is dropped from any future itinerary

Still one of the greatest live bands of all time

by YYMAN on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Queen + Adam Lambert are just phenomenal. I went to both nights in LA on the 2023 tour and I had a blast. Adam can sing his heart out, Brian May never misses a note and Roger Taylor can still hit them drums. True professionals. Great setlist, great show (video, pyrotechnics) and great atmosphere. I think the crowd could have participated a little more in the singing, but it's LA - you can't expect that :-) BMO Stadium is not designed that well. If you're sitting on the floor, you can only go to one side of the stadium (up the stairs) if you'd like to use the restroom, and then the make you go all the way back to the main entrance to get back on the floor. Kind of silly.

    BEST CONCERT EVER!

by Barry on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

I've been to so many great concerts (Rolling Stones 89, The Who 89, Guns n Roses 89, Aerosmith, Rush, The Cars, Bruce Springsteen, Oingo Boingo, Elton John, Journey, Styx, and so many other great ones), but Queen with Adam Lambert was the BEST EVER! So much great music. His voice is outstanding. Brian May and Roger Taylor are both as great as ever in their 70s and play so well while making it look easy and effortless.

    Amazing!!!

by Sherbear on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Extraordinary experience from the staging to the lighting...to the iconic music and musicianship of Queen. Adam Lambert is the perfect choice to honor Freddie and his vocals mesh perfectly with Brian's signature guitar style while Roger keeps the beat. They truly are the champions of the world

Awesome! Here's to 10 more years of Queen and Adam Lambert

by Hypnomagic on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Both the San Francisco and Los Angeles shows were excellent. They were so good in San Francisco that I bought tickets to take my grandson to the LA show. All three performers clearly love what they do and it shows. Thanks

    A night I’ll never forget

by QueenFan on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

What an amazing experience! We were on the floor by the catwalk the first night, and in one of the opera boxes the second night. I’m glad we got to experience both views. The energy, the atmosphere, the showmanship was incomparable. Roger and Brian were brilliant as always, and Adam’s voice blew us away. Just spectacular. If they ever come back, we’re there. Also, Ticketmaster was easy to work with. When we needed to sell additional tickets, the process was easy. Highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance 🤘🏻

    Queen rocks

by Hockey fan! on 11/15/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

This is a great show. They sounded great. The last time I saw them live was with Freddy. Adam is awesome. The man can sing and he was born to fill this roll. He makes it his own and yet it’s Queen. Go see them, you’ll be glad you did.
