About

Queen + Adam Lambert on Tour

In 2018, the legend of Queen — the larger-than-life band that's been making grandiose, orchestrally inspired rock songs since 1970 — came to the big screen with Bohemian Rhapsody, a film about the life of original lead singer Freddie Mercury.

Led by Mercury and charged by the pyrotechnic guitars of Brian May, the commanding drums of Roger Taylor, and the rumbling yet melodic basslines of John Deacon, Queen blazed a bright trail through the rock world in the 1970s and '80s. They showcased their stunning vocal harmonies on tracks like the mini-epic "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the peppy "Don't Stop Me Now." They showed off their wide range on sonically disparate tracks like the disco-tinged "Another One Bites the Dust," the sweetly longing "Somebody to Love," and the arena staple "We Will Rock You."

Mercury passed away in 1991, but his legacy loomed large, and Queen's presence on classic rock radio and in pop culture resulted in the band commanding the imaginations of younger listeners. One of those fans was Adam Lambert, a San Diego singer who sang "Bohemian Rhapsody" when he tried out for the eighth season of American Idol.

Powered by his inventive reworkings of songs, towering voice, and overwhelming charisma, Lambert finished second in the show's 2009 balloting. May and Taylor — who appeared on that season's finale and performed with Lambert and eventual winner Kris Allen — were keenly aware of Lambert's range and innovation.

Lambert, May, and Taylor first performed as a unit at the MTV Europe Awards in November 2011, and a year later they played their first concert as Queen + Adam Lambert. Since then, they've toured the world, honoring Mercury's memory while bringing Queen's electrifying catalog to life on a nightly basis. In 2019, Queen + Adam Lambert will embark on the Rhapsody Tour, a 23-date North American tour that, in the words of May, will "rip it apart and get even more ambitious" than their previous jaunts.

Great show! Typical Ball Arena (mediocre) acoustics.

by RVBARNES on 11/26/23Ball Arena - Denver

Queen + Adam Lambert are not to be missed. Great showmanship and stage production. No, A.L. is not Freddie, and he does think that he is, but he is damn good! Ball Arena acoustics are not as good as other venues. Not bad, but could be better. I had the luck to see the same show a few weeks before at Madison Square Garden. Similar seats (near the sound board), and the acoustics at MSG were clearly superior.

    An amazing musical experience

by Queen Fan on 11/26/23United Center - Chicago

It was an awesome sing-along. The crowd was into it, the performances were outstanding. Adam has nothing to be ashamed of. His performance was phenomenal. Brian and Roger are world class rock royalty. Absolutely one of the best concert experiences I've had the pleasure to witness.

    Need better screens!

    by CD on 11/24/23

I saw them in Atlanta at State Farm Arena. We were in the second tier and only a few rows back, but their light and sound equipment hung so low we couldn’t see the screens at all. It was so disappointing. Harry Styles had huge screens in the center hanging from the ceiling and it felt like we were more a part of the show. I felt very disconnected from Queen. I was happy just to be in the room, but please get better screens.

    Great concert but terrible parking

by MNM on 11/24/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

There were zero signs indicating where people needed to go for parking. At all. We just had to hope for the best. The concert started 40 minutes late which worked to our advantage ONLY because we were late parking due to terrible parking directions. Concert itself was great

Queen + Adam Lambert: Rock Royalty

by TheDanWho on 11/23/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

I have a been a Queen fan since I was a kid. Now in my mid 40’s, it was a thrill to share the music with my son. Brian, Roger, Adam,, Spike, and the rest of the band were nothing short of phenomenal. The 2 hour show was a perfect showcase of all the legendary Queen hits. Wonderful memories were evoked. Pomp and cimcurstance was center stage that night at BMO stadium. I hope Brian and Roger can carry being in the live stage for more years to come. It was spectacular, royal…the visuals in concert with the legendary music of Queen was nothing short of glorious. God bless the Queen!

    wish I were a pretzel

by kiki on 11/22/23Chase Center - SAN FRANCISCO

Chase Center is a horrible venue. I will never attend another event there. The seats are such that, unless you are 5feet tall or you are a pretzel, the seating is torture. In regards to the concert, I love Queen very much, but one large screen for the entire complex is insufficient. It makes it almost impossible to embrace the music. Lastly, Adam Lambert is the vocalist for Queen, he is NOT Queen. May he always remember that!

    Historic and Incredible

by Billy on 11/19/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Queen + Adam Lambert were incredible at their first night in LA. Adam delivered his high powered vocals to match the energy from the original members. The band was alive and active throughout the night, and they sounded incredible with a stage performance to boot.

Not as good as the Forum

by Mia on 11/19/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

First of all, they’re great. No taking away from that. But this show wasn’t up to par. I’ve seen them 3 times now. At the Hollywood Bowl, at the Forum, and at BMO. The first 2 we’re great and kept me coming back. This one had problems. First, there was no proper stage. Even with my binocs I had trouble finding the guys. And Adam didn’t have the room to perform his antics which are such a major part of his interaction with the audience. There was no Jumbotron, just a mishmash of crazy video behind the band that god old in 10 minutes. Second, this was The Brian May Show. He did five or six solos and while he is an expert and I admire all his accomplishments, I didn’t go specifically to see and hear him do solos. Third, the show was massively overproduced. They don’t need an enormous light show and constant fireworks to be the super entertainers that they are. Sorry about this. 🥲

    Amazing

by Stormy on 11/18/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Adam Lambert is a great performer, and I think Freddie Mercury would be proud! They mentioned Freddie quite a few times and even had a hologram of him singing. They were very respectful of him! Loved it!

Queen was AMAZING, the venue-super disorganized!

by Jess on 11/18/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Let me just say off right off the bat- the concert itself was amazing and I would hands down see Queen and Adam Lambert any time. The disorganization from parking to entry was HORRIBLE! There wasn’t really designated parking lots and the ones super close (across the street) from the venue were $100 cash only! Some people didn’t even pay $100 for their tickets! Second: We had floor tickets which there was only 1 entry on the back side of the stadium and they only had one line to get into the security check point. The line literally wrapped around the stadium and it took 10 min just to get to the back of the line. That itself and security took an hour and a half (we arrived at 7:30pm, concert was supposed to start at 8). Thankfully they were delayed coming on and started around 9pm but we were still in the security line when they came on and missed the start of the concert. Will never use Ticketmaster or go to BMO stadium for a show again, I’ve gone to a lot of concerts and this was for sure the most disorganized I’ve attended with the longest wait to get in for a show.

    Best of 2023

by Snoozie on 11/17/23Chase Center - SAN FRANCISCO

Queen with Adam Lambert was the best concert we have seen this year. Fabulous stage effects. Lambert’s voice gets better each time we see him. Roger and Brian still have it! They seem to enjoy performing and it shows.

    Adam Lambert was fantastic

by Maria Hart on 11/17/23Chase Center - SAN FRANCISCO

Queen and Adam Lambert were amazing. Fantastic music. The seating didn't let us see the amazing Freddy graphics on the screen., But we saw all the fun onstage. I got to see it on YouTube

    Fantastic and Magical!!!

by Diana on 11/17/23American Airlines Center - Dallas

First time seeing Queen and Adam Lambert in person. It's more dynamic than anything else. The sounds, lights, voices, and music are all outstanding. Speaking of voices...WOW Adam Lambert sang out of this world, and his theatricality was spectacular. Also, you could see how much Sir Brian May and Roger Taylor, along with the backup musicians, were having a great time and truly enjoying themselves. It was an honor to see this extraordinary concert.

    Excellent!

by Matthew on 11/17/23BMO Stadium - Los Angeles

Brian May and Roger Taylor are brilliant (still!! Age early 70’s?) Adam Lambert’s voice - stunning. Over the top fantastic as Queen should be… Lambert looks the part. All the pieces fit perfectly. Stadium (BMO, home of LAFC) is great. Excellent sound, easy to get around. ONLY CON - parking. Everything in LA is a hassle. Glad I went? Absolutely!
