    Power Combo

by KWord on 12/8/23Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

First time at Aragon didn't disappoint. Great venue and two great bands Local H (personal favorite) + Black Keys. First time seeing Black Keys and they put on great live performance. Audience was ready to go after hearing Local H as opener . Local H always consistent and was fun to have second drummer on stage.

Good but openers were too long

by CC on 12/8/23Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The black keys were amazing but the openers played for wayyy too long and then there was so much waiting time between bands.

My favorite event of the year

    by Sasha on 9/29/23

I've been to Q101's Twisted or "the nights we stole christmas"shows for years and I always LOVE this event. I try to budget for at least 1-2 nights. Wish I could go to all shows every year. They always have a couple nights with artists that are typically playing amphitheatres or larger venues. I love the decorations and christmas-y elements they add to the show. Need to try and win these tickets from Q101 this year! :0

    The music was unbearable.

by Emily G on 12/28/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

We were SO excited to see Portugal The Man. Bob Moses opened for them, and the sound was fantastic, but Portugal the Man’s sound was PAINFULLY loud and mixed terribly. We stuck around for 3 songs hoping they would stop and fix the audio issue, but it was too unbearable. As we were leaving there were floods of people exiting the show too. I would like a refund or compensation for two tickets. Something really went terribly wrong, and it needs to be remedied.

    Great Music, Bad Venue

by Mike on 12/19/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

With all the new "VIP" areas, the floor is over packed and the balcony puts everyone 20 feet behind the rail. Multiple people taken out due to heat exhaustion since the AC never seems to be running. If there was an emergency, I have no doubt evacuation would fail. Jack White's sound guy save the sound system this time. Other two artists, unfortunately, had washed out sound "corrected" by turn the volume up.

    Beach Bunny Live

by Barb126 on 12/18/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

It was an amazing evening. It was so great to be out again listening to live music. Beach Bunny was great! I thought the line up of bands was perfect!

    Some things to consider

by Lily on 12/14/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

I liked that they let people in early because it was freezing out. Otherwise, my only issue with the experience was the ticket purchasing. I was queueing in line for a ticket for over 30 minutes before the sale even started and it still sold out before I could purchase a ticket. However, I was immediately able to buy the ticket at 40 dollars more from a scalper. I just hope they fix this issue with all concerts because its really frustrating.

    Portugal the Man Twisted xmas

by fanofmusic on 12/13/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

I have been following this band for over a decade ...? and boy this one was not a good one. The sound quality was so bad, we left half way into their set...plus some of the bands playing before were really not the same style of music and made it a bit weird. Hope someone from their entourage has noticed

    Amazing Experience.

by C. T. on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

A wonderful show. Starcrawler started the night off with their brand of hair metal. Then the excellent Wet Leg came on and killed it. Finally Jack White played an amazing set to close out the year of concerts for me. Ball & A Biscuit, 7Nation Army, What's the Trick? were all amazing. I even hit up the Wet Leg after-show DJ set at Cubbie Bear. What an awesome time.

    A bit crowded

by Al on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Totally packed! Love the Aragon and have seen the 1975 here before, but it was difficult to see at some points and hard to hear. Could work on acoustics so the back section can hear. Also dim the lights more in the back so everyone can feel apart of the show!

Waited over an hour for the 1975 to come on.

by Jake on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The opener was literally the worst band i have ever heard. I would rather have stood there for an extra hour instead of listening to them. The 1975 performed well but oh my God the opener ruined the entire show for me

    Distorted Xmas more like it...

by A/V on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The volume at the show was so loud that the actual music was distorted. My group moved to many locations in Aragon to get a better mix, but it was all poor quality. I know the musicians were frustrated too, you could see it. Love the acts, but didn't really get to hear any of it properly. :*(

a great concert to close out the year

by Eva on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

it was my first time seeing the 1975 after listening to them basically since they were formed, and i can genuinely say that this was one of my favorite concerts i’ve ever been to. honestly an experience i’ll remember for the rest of my life. the energy in the room was so authentic, and everyone made the night so memorable, whether it be the band, the crowd, the workers, etc. thank you all <3

    This venue sucks

by Bailee on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Beautiful venue. Horrible acoustics. Couldn’t understand when the artist was speaking. Too many people in a tiny viewing space. Overpriced. Disappointing

    Twisted Xmas - The 1975

by C. P. on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The Aragon is a normally a great place to see a show. And, I was thrilled to be seeing my favorite band, The 1975, there for the 4th time....But this time, the acoustics were terrible! And, so many fans were drunk before The 1975 even took the stage. I kept getting shoved aside by security personnel rushing back and forth to deal with out-of-control fans or emergency personnel needing to transport a stretcher to someone who had collapsed. It was HOT in there and with all of the over-serving that was occurring, it's a small wonder more people weren't getting hauled out by security or EMS. Come on Aragon - I get that you want to make money, but all the drunks ruin it for the rest of us who are there to see the band!!!

    “Room” for improvement

by Nat on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

The 1975 was absolutely amazing, nothing negative to say there. However, the room was way too overcrowded. It got to the point where it was impossible to enjoy the show. People started passing out left and right because of the overcrowding. It got very hot in there. It also looked liked people were being over served. My husband and I ended up leaving early because it just got uncomfortable to be there. People kept pushing through the crowed and butting in front of others. It was terrible. The 1975 is my favorite band so to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. You really should have limited the capacity or done seats. We will never return to this venue for a concert,

    Most streamlined experience ever

by Bornslippy on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

This has to be the best experience I’ve ever had getting into a show. Really liked seeing the metal detectors, didn’t have to wait in a huge line, ticket scanners were super efficient and was given a free sample of whiskey not even 20 steps past security. What more can someone ask for??

    To crowded

by A girl from Detroit on 12/12/22Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - Chicago

Jack White killed it, per usual. But the event itself felt over sold and super annoying. The Aragon, while being a great size, its flatness suck to be able to see anything when there are that many people crammed in. So I say 4 Stars based only on the insanity that was trying to even get out on the floor. Would have been a 5 simply just for Jack. Bigger venue or don't be greedy and cram people in.
