Purple Disco Machine Live in Concert

Tino Piontek, aka Purple Disco Machine, was born in 1980 in what was known as East Germany at the time. Since both sides of Germany were still separated, Western culture, including music, was largely banned.

However, Piontek's father was a big believer in music and would drive to the border of the two countries to buy black market music for him and his son to listen to. These cassettes and vinyl records of rock bands triggered Piontek's interest in music and led to the Purple Disco Machine persona.

Once the wall separating East and West Germany fell, Purple Disco Machine had his first opportunity to experience all that music had to offer. It was during his first trip to Munich, Germany, that he made it his life goal to share the excitement of music with the world.

It wasn't until 2013 that Purple Disco Machine started getting fans' attention with his smash hit, "My House." His biggest success and global stardom came about when he released his multi-platinum, international success hit song "Hypnotized."

Along with touring the world, Purple Disco Machine is also one of the most highly requested song remixers for stars such as Dua Lipa, Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga.

    I have seen PDM twice, once at Concourse Project and once at Radius. He has a really fun show and usually plays the overall favorites. Some of the negative reviews below are not based on the artist, but on the venue. Do better fans!

    Got there early, the opener Matt Suave was great. I was really happy The Stone Pony hosted Purple Disco Machine, it was such a fun show to watch next to the beach. The vibes were awesome, the dancers were fierce and I appreciated ásdís showing up, that was so cool! Would definitely see Tino again!

    Listen, I’m not old, but when the ticket says the doors open at 9:30pm and the artist doesn’t go on until 12:30 pm, it’s extremely frustrating. I didn’t see any notices about this. If so, I would have prepared myself and friends. It was frustrating. What we did see of PDM was great but I wish I were more prepared.

    The concert was great— great energy and his remixes are the best. Although all the 3 DJs that opened his act were great— after 3 hours (they each play for one hour), you start to get tired and by the time PDM gets in is already way too late— one or two would be best imo. The venue was nice, super crowded and the show was amazing! I hope he reads the reviews and makes adjustments 🤣😂

    Not sure when PDM entered the stage, but we already had to go home. Obviously we didn’t expect to wait 3+ hours, very disappointed.

    After standing for over three straight hours we left disappointed. Two DJs and at 12:45am still no PDM. Did he make it to the show??? No clue. Ridiculous.
