astounding & delightful from start to finish!

by rcopple on 1/15/13Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

I have been a fan of the 90's movie for years so I jumped at the chance to see the broadway production. What a show it was! Beautifully crafted costumes, hysterical dance numbers, powerful voices! I could go on forever! I took my mama to this as a belated Christmas present and it didn't disappoint. The dancing was wonderfully choreographed, the songs were belted out beautifully. I recommend this show to anyone and everyone because there's such a heartwarming message of acceptance, friendship, and family.

I don't remember the last show I has this great of a time at!!! The music was all well know hits and all you wanted to do was jump up and sing and dance along with the cast!!! Oh and the cast!!! The cast was phenomenal!!!! I don't think they could have cast a better person for each role!!! Next was the costumes!! All I can say is WOW!! The only disappointing thing about this show was it was in town for only one more day so I couldn't come back and see it again!!!!

    Spectacular Costumes

by bdadaddy on 1/13/13Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

OMG this was so crazy! Loved the costumes and choreography, songs and actors. Even though we were in the nosebleed seats of the balcony of Q10 & Q11 the speakers were in the way of when she was singing in the giant shoe on top of the bus, but with the moving set we were able to see at least a portion of the action.

It was a good show, great story, funny and audience engaging. If you want something that will provide you a smile during and after, go see it. Is it Broadways best - no but definitely fun to see.

    Priscilla, Queen of Dessert!

by Shelleyoh on 1/13/13Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Outrageously Delicious! One of the sweetest musicals EVER! A tale for the modern family that captures your heart and mind from the first moments. The music is an upbeat mixture of hits that speak well of the emotions that each character exhibits. The dancing is incredible and the performers are beautifully attractive. The musical is wrought with emotion and care, encouraging the audience to open their hearts and minds to a universal love shared by couples, not defined by gender, but by the desire to love and be loved.

    What a fun evening!!!

    by wart11 on 1/11/13Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Priscilla was stupendous. As a huge fan of the movie, it followed the story line and didn't leave you going, "Ah, why did they do that? It wasn't in the movie." The songs / dance numbers were so over the top and campt (just what I expected), the costumes - each better than the last and the main actors' voice were just thrilling. Tick / Mitzy was especialy good and the the kid who played Benji was spot on. What a great kid! It was a great show for just watching dance and music...and those great disco tunes!! I love the 80's!

The music ,costuming and songs are amazing. You just want to sing along. The staging with the bus in uniquely done. We enjoyed it enought that we would go back and see it again if we could.

Despite my impaired view, I'm glad I attended.

    by 123Oleary on 1/10/13Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

I was in the nosebleed section, straight-on with the stage. There was a hanging speaker or something hung right in front of me. No, I didn't pay for a visually impaired seat, I just got the sucker prize. No problem when the action was taking place on stage, but as soon as someone got suspended above the stage or was atop the bus, well, that was no fun. The big diva scene in the shoe on the bus was only visible from the shoe sole. Wow. I kept waiting for one character to design costumes on a sewing machine aboard the bus--one of my memories of the movie--but there was none of that stuff. No long flowing billow behind the bus either. The dress made of flip-flop shoes was there but totally unexplained. Sigh. As long as you attend for the purpose of seeing a totally silly and visually overwhelming extravaganza, you will have fun. If you loved the movie or you're sitting in the peanut gallery, you gotta be very forgiving.
