Great chance to see some legends of tennis

by Kathy217 on 4/12/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

The Powershare tennis event was great. The players were relaxed and interacted with each other and with the crowd. The tennis was good, obviously not grand slam level but there were some great shots and great rallies. It is a great chance to see some of the legends of the game.

    well worth attending

by ChisolmWilson on 4/12/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

My only complaint/opinion is that the "final" match could have been longer, like say 2 outta 3 sets, instead of just one. I understand the semi matches being only one set. The final with Roddick and Agassi only lasted like 20-something minutes I think. Or maybe they could create a special "long set" and call it first one to 8 games, perhaps (?). Other than that, was a great night.

Can't go wrong with these guys

by CaptainPVL on 4/12/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

They play one set of semifinals and the winners play a final set. So you get 3 sets of tennis with these stars who've still got it. They also ut on a good show and when they are miked up, it is hilarious. Good tennis, good fun!

    Andy Roddick is the man

by WillyMc on 4/12/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

Andy Roddick is one of the most entertaining tennis players out there. He's real. He's funny. He's a ton of fun to watch play tennis and his serve is still as good as ever even in retirement.

    PowerShares was so much fun

by Johoove on 4/12/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

This was so much fun. I had no idea what the format was of the playing. They only played singles, thought it would be fun to have a doubles match with all four of them on the court. But it was so much fun to watch. The only thing I wish was that the players could be mic'd. Could not hear a lot of what they said.

    Great Evening of Tennis

by NYCTony on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

This was such a treat - such talent on the court and great ambassadors of the game. Their interaction with the fans, each other and the young tennis players was great to see. This is the type of thing that will keep people interested in the game.

    Tennis Legends

by ChicagoTodd on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

First time at a powershares event, but it was very entertaining. UIC pavillion is a smaller venue with great seating. Parking is a bit tricky.

    Powershares Tennis

by tennised on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

The players needed to have a microphone because you could not hear any of the player/fan interaction. There could have been a speedgun so that we could see the speed of serves. Seats are very narrow in the UIC which makes it somewhat uncomfortable. Overall though it was fun seeing the tennis greats play.

    Amazing tennis

by VickiLP on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

Had great time at the Powershares tennis tournament. Unless you are there in person, it is really unbelievable how hard they hit the ball. Always fun to have them banter with the crowd also. Love John McEnroe and his witty comebacks. My only suggestion would be to have a section where the players can sign autographs away from the tennis court after the match. Many people rushed up to just take selfies with the tennis players in the back ground (not a real selfie with the person) and didn't have anything to sign but clogged up the path to get up to the player to have them sign something and then the player was done signing and leaving.

    FABULOUS!

by KimJessica on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

This was on my "bucket list"! I wanted to see Andre play live and now I have! And what a wonderful, intimate setting. We were so close to the action. I would do this event over and over and over again!

    Good, not great.

by WindyCityTennis on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

My father and I enjoyed this event at UIC in Chicago. The venue is small, so even seats in the upper bowl would have been good seats. A couple things that they could do better: 1. The scoreboard operator was not good. The scoreboard was constantly behind by 1-2 points, which was annoying. 2. They should have the players wear microphones. This point of the event is to see the players that you love to watch and get a sense of their personality. This is not a serious competition (although they are playing very good tennis). It would be more fun if we could hear the players talking to each other (especially John McEnroe). Part of the fun is the lighthearted environment. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to see big name players playing high quality tennis in an intimate setting.

    Great entertainment

by BigMcIrish on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

This was not your ordinary tennis match. It was filled with excitement, laughter, world class players and family fun. Bring the kids, sit back and enjoy the match.

Horrible place to park and sit!

by Sagarrison on 4/11/16UIC Pavilion - Chicago

UIC Pavilion has horrible parking! No one tell you where to park, you just drive and find a spot. The spots are made for Smart cars only! I drove 6 people in a minivan and my car got dinged by the car next to me. Only 2 spots to get food! It took over 15 min in line just to get food. But, for a drinker there were 6 spots??? Event was great, facility was terrible!

    McEnroe is the man

by BbbigBob on 2/20/14Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

Very well presented and enjoyable event. I enjoyed the other players, but for me McEnroe's star power, charisma, and tennis style was the draw. He is still playing a very high quality of tennis at age 55.
