Post Malone on Tour
Rising rapper and R&B singer Post Malone hit pay dirt in 2015 with his hugely popular breakout single "White Iverson," a Top 3 jam on the Hot Rap Songs chart that has racked up more than 200 million views on YouTube. Since then he's made good on the promise of that auspicious debut, generating major buzz with his 2016 mixtape August 26th and hitting the road for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour Presents: Post Malone The Hollywood Dreams Tour. In concert Malone's excitement and passion are palpable, and his rapid-fire flow, bass-heavy beats, and infectious dancing always get fans moving their feet. He slayed in early 2016 as an opening act on Justin Bieber's Purpose World Tour, and followed up with killer headlining sets of his own in support of his much-anticipated debut album Stoney.
Post Malone in Concert
Austin Richard Post, aka Post Malone, was born in New York but spent his formative years in Dallas, TX. He taught himself to play guitar and produce music in high school, and at age 16 he became a local legend with his first independent mixtape release. He enrolled in a local community college after graduation, but dropped out after a few months to move to Los Angeles and pursue his music career. Once there he linked up with production team FKi Music, a fruitful collaboration that yielded several songs including "White Iverson." That track went viral in early 2015, racking up millions of plays on SoundCloud and YouTube and leading to a record deal with Republic Records. Malone's rise continued in 2016 with the release of his mixtape August 26th, his national TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and a collaboration single with Justin Bieber titled "Déjà Vu." His debut full-length Stoney generated big buzz in late 2016, and he continues to impress with swaggering, hit-filled sets on tour.
The posty concert was insane I loved every minute of it. It was my first ever concert I went too and it was an awesome experience. I’m glad I went to Post for my first concert loved it
Who doesn't love Post Malone?! He put on a great show, keep everyone entertained. Venue was great, up until it was time to leave-parking was a joke Took us over 1.5 hrs to exit.
Post Malone was fantastic! One of the best performers I’ve seen since 1987…absolutely loved him! Glen Helen Amphitheater…great venue BUT! The parking situation was the worst I’ve experienced! EVER! I will never go there again…you couldn’t pay me to attend a concert there.
Posty never disappoints with his energy, passion and gratitude. While getting into GHA was easy leaving was not. Other than the delay in exiting the parking lot the concert and venue was incredible. Can’t wait for another Posty performance. Cheers!
Post Malone absolutely killed it!! Made me fall in love with him even more. However it took over 2 hours just to leave the venue. Coming from El Segundo, I don’t know if it’s worth the drive.
He was AMAZING as always!! 6th time seeing him. Absolutely a gem, and loved that he had a live band on this tour!! Can't wait to see him again! <3
What a performer! Post gave a masterclass at what it is to be a performing artist.
Had so much fun at the show. The band with the violin and cello was a special touch. The encore was awesome.
1.The venue was an awful choice. You had to basically hike to get there and parking was a disaster. They charged $75 for parking but basically there was free parking everywhere because no one was regulating it. 2. My friend couldn’t bring in bug spray because we were gonna be on the grass but people were allowed to bring weed, children, etc. 3. Post Malone took an hour to come on. His openers finished at 8:30 and post didn’t come on until 9:30. It was basically quiet with random radio music playing softly in the background. 4. The tvs/ monitors were too small to see if you were in the back. They were blurry and just bad quality. Every once in awhile DURING the performance they would shut off. 5. Random holes in the grass if you weren’t paying attention or were during you were going to face plant. 6. Took two hours to get out of the parking lot 7. The whole place smelled of weed. I didn’t mind but there were a lot of kids there. Shouldn’t this event be age restricted. 8. The performance was fun but I’ll definitely never go to one like this again.
Posty was amazing. I was in awe for the 2 hours he played. I would definitely go see him perform again.
This venue should not have hosted Post Malone. It took over 2 hours to drive 8 miles. There was no traffic control to help. It took us longer to get in than the actual set time. Parking is super far away. Definitely would advise against visiting this venue
The whole concert was amazing! I don’t have 1 bad thing to say.
Post Malone was amazing and everything I hoped he would be. My frustrations were with the venue, Glen Helen Amphitheatre. I bought Club access with my tix. However, not one venue employee knew where this was or how to direct us there. After an hour later and asking 10 different people, we happened to stumble upon it. Seriously?? Then let’s talk about the parking. It’s all dirt lots in the surrounding hillsides with only one road in and out. With 65,000 people at this sold out show, trying to leave your parking spot was ridiculous even tho we left the concert early. Couldn’t move car for 1 hour. They weren’t allowing our lot to leave but all other lots were leaving. Finally did some 4x4 move with my car and was able to leave. I’m never going back to that venue until they figure out the parking situation
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I loved it he performed a lot of his hits. Atmosphere was amazing
Impeccable performace by Post Malone and his band. He is an artist that exceeds your expectation live. It was gorgeous outdoor weather The Glen Helen venue is not the easist for ins and outs but the sound of the amphitheatre is amazing. I love how he engages with his fans. Definitely makes me want to be in the Pit on the next tour. Until next time Posty xoxo.
Posty = 100/10... glen Helen pavilion = 0/10. 1 single land entrance that a street + 2 freeway exits feed into. It took a full hour to get into the venue from 1 mile out, and I left the show early to avoid what I heard were 2-3 hour jams to get out of that place. Horrible logistics with no traffic control.
sat on the lawn like a peasant (HAHA), but still had an amazing time with teenage daughter, we had a blast. THX posty.....
Such an amazing show! I love Posty! He is so humble and gracious with his fans. An amazing show. This man has really come into his own and he shines.
Wow his energy is amazing, I’m so glad I was able to see him perform. He performed a lot of songs I love
I was not expecting that Post Malone would rock the house like a bad ass rock star, but he did. show was excellent and his live band kicked major ass as well. I will definitely be looking to see him again next time he is in town.
