  • Good.......not great

by Jeff on 6/25/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

No doubt, the lineup was great. The separation of the stages by nearly a 5 minute walk made it nearly impossible to see all the bands we wanted. I've been to other festivals where the stages are beside each other. These festivals are WAY more appealing to the concert goers. We had to miss several bands (that we were excited to see) because we were forced to stand at an empty stage waiting an hour for the next band to start. You may say "you didn't have to wait."Well, if we didn't wait, we couldn't get within 100 yards of the stage. We watched The Movement then attempted to go see our favorite band Stick Figure, but couldn't get within 200 yards of the stage. We couldn't see a thing and could barely hear anything due to the lack of monitors and speakers towards the back. Again, you guys do a lot getting these great bands together and organized. There just needs to be more thought into the practicalities of the concerts once the music begins. I'm not sure we'll return with how it's currently run.

  • Awesome Event

by Becky on 6/25/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

We had an absolute blast at Point Break Festival 2025!! What made it such fun was not only the music, but how well organized the event was. The organizers accommodated the 10,000+ people very well with the way the event was laid out ... we didn't hear or see any fights or arguments ... everyone was happy and just chillin' to the music. Our favorites were Collie Buddz and Stick Figure! Their performances will be one of our best memories forever! We lived in Virginia Beach for over 40 years so for us, listening to reggae at the oceanfront is very special. The whole festival was a magical experience.

  • AMAZING

by Nelly 3 on 6/25/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Hands down best music festival I've been to. The people and the vibe was one of the best. I'll definitely be going back year after year

  • EPIC

by Karma on 6/25/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Best festival I have been too. Maybe just cold water to drink

  • Amazing event!

Please come back next year and bring Stick Figure with you!

  • Beach Reggae a Blast!

by Lew on 6/25/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Great weekend! Great tunes! Line up was awesome! Weather hot but comfortable with ocean breeze- beers too expensive- no walk avenues roped off on beach- no easy access to beach from within VIP- not enough exits opened towards end of evenings

  • I needed that

by Bobdole on 6/25/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Thank you for water stations!! Enjoyed the security/law enforcers present. Loved the location and found the layout to be pleasant. Large variety of food and beverage stations. Found this event to be family friendly and handicapped accessible. Enjoyable artist lineup! Hope to see you next year!!

  • Awesome bands but.....

by Super awesome LINEUP on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Above and beyond the ticket price for entry, the food and beverage was WAY overpriced. We heard lots of people talking about the same thing and how the workers seemed mad, because at $20 for a lame beer, who is feeling compelled to tip? We couldn't even bring in a water bottle unless it was empty. I completely understand the venue wants us to "consume"but the beverage prices were outrageous. Doubt we'll go again next year. This of course is no reflection on how we feel about the bands, they all did amazing.

  • Almost perfect experience!

by George B. 3 on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

First of all my wife and I along with our friends had an amazing time all together. The festival was set up perfectly and it was easy to go back and forth to see the bands. The staff was great and there were no problems with any staff or the patrons. On the negative side, the price gouging from Uber and Lyft was heinous. Took a Lyft there for $60 and without any warning there was a surcharge and the ride home was $179 so that sucked. And the other thing was, whenever I bought the VIP tickets it said that there was going to be a cash bar in the VIP area and to prepare for that I brought mostly cash. Then we get there and everything was card in the VIP and of course no way to load the cash I brought on my card. Overall though it was awesome but would be nice if there was some type of structure with ride services cause charging almost triple for the ride home could deter people from being safe with drinking and driving.

  • Great location, lineup, a few tweaks could make it better

by SS on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the festival's lineup. We did the 2-day VIP pass. This was our first time doing VIP at a music festival. Here are some thoughts we had: * We love The Elevators. They deserve MAIN STAGE treatment. Please put them on the main stage next year! * Too many VIP passes were sold, it didn't feel special. It felt like General Admission. * Drinks and food were too expensive. * Offer VIP guests the chance for chairs and shade. * Offer VIP guests the ability to be served by a staff member instead of walking to a drink/food stall. * Offer all you can eat/drink passes. * When a stage is between bands, play the music/video feed from the other stage so those who are getting ready for the next band on the empty stage can enjoy the other stage via big screen and speakers. * Turn the stages toward each other so if you're in the middle, you can turn and watch both stages and don't have to walk as far back and forth. * Offer way more merchandise (go look at how much stuff a PGA tournament sells and start partnering with apparel vendors now for next year). Make Point Break a brand. * Offer merchanise from all bands. * More hand sanitizer stations. * VIP area for both stages, not just main stage. * More things to do/see that aren't music (light show, sand castle guy, street performers, etc...) * More inflatables for the crowd, jut go crazy with them, make them your thing, like Glastonbury does flags, Va Beach could do beach balls or surf boards or sea turtles or something like that. * More water stations and have them be more spread out. * Vendors ran out of drinks by the end of the 2nd night. This can't happen again. * Move the festival further north, closer to the pier. * Partner with local hotels or condos to seel branded "luxury box-style"hotel rooms that people can rent out for the show, like having their own suite for a football game. * Other bands we would like to see play: Dirty Heads, Passafire, Rebelution, Algorhythm, Sublime, Pepper, Common Kings, Roots of Creation, The Hip Abduction, The Wheeland Brothers, Ballyhoo!, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, Audiodub, Coast Modern, Bay Ledges, Katastro, The Oles, Tropidelic, Signal Fire, Pacific Dub, Sons of Paradise, Surfer Girl. We had a fantastic time. Staff were GREAT. City was welcoming, clean and couldn't have asked for better weather. Maybe keep some restaurants open later for the late night crowd would be helpful. Appreciated the law enforcement presence as well. See yall next year!

  • A beaching good time!

by BDUB101 on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Loved all the bands. It was hot but not as bad since we were on the beach and there was a nice breeze. I think there needs to be a 10-15min buffer so you don’t have to miss a band’s finale. I would sacrifice a couple bands to make that happen. Missed all of the finales except the headliners. The water stations could improve with COLD water. Luke cold reminded me of drinking from the hose. Showed my age there. Still great though. Looking forward to next year. You guys rocked it yet again, thank you for bringing this event to VB!

  • Great weekend!

by Philly on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

What a killer line up! We had a great weekend at point break! Need more seating and shade in VIP section though. Otherwise a perfect experience!

  • Great performances, stages/view could improve

by Jasonian on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

Would be much improved if SMKFLWR stage had screens and both stages were built higher. Though the screens for main stage were good. If you're less than 6ft tall it's pretty tough to see what's happening on either stage. Most shows I go to with big acts like this have better screens and views of stage.

  • Excellent time in VA Beach

by Michele L on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5

There is no better way to kick off summer then hanging out at the Point Break festival in VA Beach. This is my 2nd year and a completely different experience from year to year (as a VIP ticket holder). I thought last year was excellent and could walk between stages no problem. I just had a total hip replacement and needed ADA seating. Staff was wonderful but there was NOT enough chairs or room for everyone to sit. The SMKFLWR stage was even worse and no where enough seats. I tried to stand for the Elovators and could not make it through the set and had to leave. Which leads to the EXITS. Not enough were open to let everyone out with the surging crowd, it was nearly impossible for me to walk to 5th street exit. ALL the Bands were excellent and on FIRE. 🔥 Food was diverse and tasty. Alcohol was reasonable and flowing. However, when you spend $$ on alcohol we should be able to get ice, by 1pm Saturday they had none and everything was warm. NEED more Water stations by Point Break stage. Looking forward to next year with a few tweaks to ADA seating and Exits. !!

  • Golden

by Big Dubb on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

i like to be succinct so 50 characters feels like a lot to express the feeling of togetherness and bonding through music - surprisingly mild weather this time of year for the region, too

  • Point Break

  • Point Break VA

by Sobxman on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Was a great experience.. bands were great. Would recommend this experience to anyone who love reggae.. recommendations would be a way to have possible ice at the water stations or the opportunity to buy just ice for the water.. we did like that they did have the water stations.. I get about the stages being far apart but by the time you would try to walk to the next band , you missed half of it and the that puts you missing half of the next band also.. so found just to stay at just one stage.. had to loose seeing a few of the bands and couldn't hear the ones at the smaller stage.. overall great.. the set up was great for health workers and and spacing for vendors..would do it again..

  • VIP only worth bleachers and ac controlled rest rooms.

by Storm on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

VIP not worth it! We paid for air conditioned restrooms. VIP area is at 5th street and you have to enter event at 9th street and exit at 9th street. Even with VIP bracelet on, you still have to keep finding your electronic mobile ticket on your phone for every time you enter or exit with a vip bracelet on. I will not be back. Don't waste your time getting a hotel room at the vip area, only Ada can enter and you have to enter and exit with GA General admission ticket holders.

  • Good bands, dirty venue

by Kappy on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Great music, the grounds were not kept up, garbages not emptied, sinks for toilets were not refilled during the event, ran out of water to wash hands. Ran out of certain beverages on the first day. People at event for super nice!!
