Great location, lineup, a few tweaks could make it better
by SS on 6/24/25Virginia Beach Oceanfront - Virginia BeachRating: 4 out of 5Loved the festival's lineup. We did the 2-day VIP pass. This was our first time doing VIP at a music festival. Here are some thoughts we had:
* We love The Elevators. They deserve MAIN STAGE treatment. Please put them on the main stage next year!
* Too many VIP passes were sold, it didn't feel special. It felt like General Admission.
* Drinks and food were too expensive.
* Offer VIP guests the chance for chairs and shade.
* Offer VIP guests the ability to be served by a staff member instead of walking to a drink/food stall.
* Offer all you can eat/drink passes.
* When a stage is between bands, play the music/video feed from the other stage so those who are getting ready for the next band on the empty stage can enjoy the other stage via big screen and speakers.
* Turn the stages toward each other so if you're in the middle, you can turn and watch both stages and don't have to walk as far back and forth.
* Offer way more merchandise (go look at how much stuff a PGA tournament sells and start partnering with apparel vendors now for next year). Make Point Break a brand.
* Offer merchanise from all bands.
* More hand sanitizer stations.
* VIP area for both stages, not just main stage.
* More things to do/see that aren't music (light show, sand castle guy, street performers, etc...)
* More inflatables for the crowd, jut go crazy with them, make them your thing, like Glastonbury does flags, Va Beach could do beach balls or surf boards or sea turtles or something like that.
* More water stations and have them be more spread out.
* Vendors ran out of drinks by the end of the 2nd night. This can't happen again.
* Move the festival further north, closer to the pier.
* Partner with local hotels or condos to seel branded "luxury box-style"hotel rooms that people can rent out for the show, like having their own suite for a football game.
* Other bands we would like to see play: Dirty Heads, Passafire, Rebelution, Algorhythm, Sublime, Pepper, Common Kings, Roots of Creation, The Hip Abduction, The Wheeland Brothers, Ballyhoo!, Aaron Kamm and the One Drops, Audiodub, Coast Modern, Bay Ledges, Katastro, The Oles, Tropidelic, Signal Fire, Pacific Dub, Sons of Paradise, Surfer Girl.
We had a fantastic time. Staff were GREAT. City was welcoming, clean and couldn't have asked for better weather. Maybe keep some restaurants open later for the late night crowd would be helpful. Appreciated the law enforcement presence as well. See yall next year!
