PLAIN WHITE T'S IN CONCERT:

Pop-punk outfit Plain White T's is anything but plain live -- the band has been packing a punch with their driving guitar sound, upbeat melodies, and sprightly showmanship since 1997. Whether they're stripping it down with their acoustic smash-hit "Hey There Delilah" or getting fans to sing along to "1,2,3,4", Plain White T's sound just as sharp live as they do on their recordings. A veteran touring act with showmanship to the gills, the five-piece gives concertgoers an unforgettable experience every time they hit the road for one of their exciting tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Chicago-based pop punkers Plain White T's first formed in 1997, getting their start playing local bar and restaurant gigs. When frontman Tom Higgenson was involved in a near-fatal car accident two years later, he penned a collection of reflective songs while recovering that ultimately led the band to pursue music full-time. They released three albums in the early '00s, but didn't achieve mainstream success until 2006 with Every Second Counts, which was certified gold in the US and featured the No. 1 hit "Hey There Delilah". The band immediately launched to international fame after the release, set out on a tour with Motion City Soundtrack, and played their own sold-out headlining shows. The pop-punk act continued to release more popular tunes like "1,2,3,4" and "Rhythm of Love", both of which were played in heavy rotation on alternative radio across the country. With several platinum-selling records, two Grammy nominations, and a hit-filled catalog under their belt, Plain White T's are show-stopping performers who treat fans to all of their popular tunes on perennial can't-miss tours.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"I always thought this band was good... but I never saw them live before. The live show is full of passion, honesty, and energy. They were absolutely AMAZING. Each band member is extremely talented. A MUST-SEE!"

"NO WORDS can explain how AMAZING this night was! Plain White T's put on a FUN and energetic show, get the crowd involved, and keep you dancing until the end! This show will be a LIFETIME MEMORY!"

"The Plain White T's never disappoint. In addition to being a great band, they are great entertainers."

Let me preface this by saying the Plain White T's are my favorite band in the entire world so I'm somewhat biased. This was a killer show. They always put on an amazing performance and this was no different. The Cave is a cool little venue that's worth checking out if a favorite band or artist is performing because it's so small and intimate.

Plain White T's are the best band ever!

by PWTsFAN on 1/1/17Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

This concert was completely unforgettable. The band members were totally personable and even though the theater was big they made everyone feel part on the concert. I totally recommend going to one of their concerts. Great music and great people!

    Too many opening acts

by Kathrose on 12/31/16Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Since this was supposed to be a big, hometown show, I expected more. Instead, there were 2 opening acts and when Plain White It's finally came out, they kept bringing out the other bands to sing with them, so you hardly heard the band on their own. Disappointing, especially for driving 2 hrs to see it.

    Plain White T's at Genesee

    by Dadof2gals on 12/31/16Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Fantastic performance. Tom at Plain White T's dedicated a song to my daughter Sophia. It was her first concert and very memorable. Roadie gave her a drum stick and Fairview lead singer gave her a pick. Great experience and she won't ever forget it!

    Great night of music

by Anonymous on 11/11/15Port City Music Hall - Portland

A great night of music. They played a lot of music form their new album, along with their hits. The intimate atmosphere of the venue is great. Also 2 members stayed around after the show, chatting and taking pic with everyone that wanted one.

    Plain white T's were brilliant.

by SteinerBoston on 11/5/15Brighton Music Hall - Boston

From the moment we walked in the door of this small music hall we knew the concert would be great. They played the beloved favorites along with their new album, which sounded great! They were so personable with the audience and even came down after the show to talk with everyone. When has that happened recently with such a well known band. I think this is just the beginning of their 2nd rise to the top! Thank you Plain White T's for such a great night!

    Great band, horrible venue

by Jax1975 on 8/17/15First Merit Bank Event Park across from The Dow Event Center - Saginaw

My poor rating is not reflective of the bands performance, rather, it's based on the staff of the Dow event center. Inclement weather forced a delay in getting into the outdoor arena and I, my daughter and about 20 other people decided to sit through the thunderstorm as we were the first in line to get in. Even though we we're standing on public property, the staff continuously threatened us with cancelling our tickets if we did not go inside the indoor arena across the street. We waited 3 hours to get in and at no time were we given any notice if the concert was cancelled or not. The staff seemed extremely annoyed to even be there let alone answer any questions. Would gladly see the band again but not at that venue. Will not spend my money on that place again.

Great concert with a few qualifiers

by Kidleo on 4/13/15State Theatre - St Petersburg

Plain White T's are a tight band with great harmonies, strong musicality and they write catchy pop tunes. Whoever was mixing their sound must have a hearing problem as the bass was mixed so loud that on many of the first 5 songs, it was hard to hear the vocals. Since the vocals are the bands strongest aspect, that seems like a poor idea.

The Plain White T's are the real deal!

by IRBbums on 4/13/15State Theatre - St Petersburg

The Plain White T's are truly talented and a great band to see in person! The songs played live sounded just like they do on their recorded versions. There was a perfect mix of laid back acoustic songs and louder punk songs. The band was very personable with the audience and seemed really down to earth. We wish more people were there to hear them because it was an awesome concert!
