PLAIN WHITE T'S IN CONCERT:

Pop-punk outfit Plain White T's is anything but plain live -- the band has been packing a punch with their driving guitar sound, upbeat melodies, and sprightly showmanship since 1997. Whether they're stripping it down with their acoustic smash-hit "Hey There Delilah" or getting fans to sing along to "1,2,3,4", Plain White T's sound just as sharp live as they do on their recordings. A veteran touring act with showmanship to the gills, the five-piece gives concertgoers an unforgettable experience every time they hit the road for one of their exciting tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Chicago-based pop punkers Plain White T's first formed in 1997, getting their start playing local bar and restaurant gigs. When frontman Tom Higgenson was involved in a near-fatal car accident two years later, he penned a collection of reflective songs while recovering that ultimately led the band to pursue music full-time. They released three albums in the early '00s, but didn't achieve mainstream success until 2006 with Every Second Counts, which was certified gold in the US and featured the No. 1 hit "Hey There Delilah". The band immediately launched to international fame after the release, set out on a tour with Motion City Soundtrack, and played their own sold-out headlining shows. The pop-punk act continued to release more popular tunes like "1,2,3,4" and "Rhythm of Love", both of which were played in heavy rotation on alternative radio across the country. With several platinum-selling records, two Grammy nominations, and a hit-filled catalog under their belt, Plain White T's are show-stopping performers who treat fans to all of their popular tunes on perennial can't-miss tours.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"I always thought this band was good... but I never saw them live before. The live show is full of passion, honesty, and energy. They were absolutely AMAZING. Each band member is extremely talented. A MUST-SEE!"

"NO WORDS can explain how AMAZING this night was! Plain White T's put on a FUN and energetic show, get the crowd involved, and keep you dancing until the end! This show will be a LIFETIME MEMORY!"

"The Plain White T's never disappoint. In addition to being a great band, they are great entertainers."

  • Fun show

by Flaxmax on 10/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

They put on a fun show, but I feel like they never really met their full potentials outside of Delilah and handful of other tracks. Not to say their irrelevant, as their a month away from releasing a new album!

  • Pure nostalgia

It was cool to see them live. Pure nostalgia when they played “Hey There Delilah.”

  • PLEASE GET A NEW SOUND GUY!!!

    by T on 2/3/22Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 1 out of 5

I LOVE THE PLAIN WHITE T's!! They seemed to be awesome, however we were unable to understand anything they said or sang because their balance was so off and it was WAY TOO LOUD for the venue. I was so disappointed with the sound quality. SUPER SAD because there music is great! They put on a great show! it would have been perfect if my ears weren't bleeding! Still a huge fan - I will just see them at an outdoor venue!

  • Energetic & Awesome

Love, Love, Loved this show! The band was great and their energy mobilized the audience, they played the hits and some new songs that should prove to also be hits. I would definitely come see them again. Only negative thing I have to say is the opening band (Brother from UT) wasn't great and didn't fit with the music style of Plain White T's, please don't bring them back to the Avalon.

GREAT VENUE, GREAT BAND, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THEM AGAIN!

  • Amazing performance! Venue was not so great.

by Amanda on 1/31/22Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 3 out of 5

The Plain White T’s were amazing, but giving 3 stars for the venue. This space is not right for this type of event - the sound quality was not great (a speaker very clearly blew out near the end of the performance) and the acoustics were all wrong, the lights were aimed directly at the balcony seats, there’s no room to stand in the balcony seats while the band performs and these types of events should not be enjoyed sitting down! This venue is better suited for plays, more mellow music, etc. PWT should come back to perform at a better venue!

  • Fun energy!

  • Great experience

by plainwhiteT on 8/17/21Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center - Redondo BeachRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was excellent, the band spent a good amount of time on stage, worth every penny and minute spent, and probably more. Strongly recommended. Will attend their concert again.

The Plain White Ts did not disappoint. They’re incredibly talented and really engaged with the audience. Great intimate revue for fans especially since we are still in a pandemic.

  • Plain White T's - Great Setlist & Performance!

by Concert Queen on 8/10/21The Canyon Agoura Hills - Agoura HillsRating: 5 out of 5

The Plain White T's are always great in concert having seen them perform over the years. They connect with the crowd usually ending in a "Delilah" sing-a-long. Bands usually tour to promote their current work but the "T's" dug deep into their catalog for this show. Not only was it great to see the band together and performing in an intimate venue, but the songs were from the start of their career through their most recent album. Really great setlist and performance!

  • Up Close & Personal with the Plain White T's

My sister and I had really good seats. Fourth row, to the right of the stage on the end. I like the end cause I like to stand/dance during concerts. Though I feel there are no bad seats at this venue. On the smallish side, seating approximately 1500 people. However; there were only a bit over 300 at this concert. But that was our gain. After the first song, which was "Light Up the Room" a couple girls ran up to the stage to take some pictures and they stayed. This brought up even more so that about 50ish people crowded around the stage while the rest of us stayed at our seats. I was disappointed in most of the audience as they stayed seated. Who does that at a concert? Luckily, a couple in our row stood along with us and danced the night away. Small number of people and crowding the stage made for an intimate concert. The band talked to us more personally than I feel they would at a stadium. They joked, high-fived everyone at the stage, and made us feel like this show was something special for just us. The only thing I would have appreciated more was additional songs from "Wonders of the Younger". I never did understand the name of the opening band. That guy, wow could he talk fast. He had a beautiful voice and he brought his husband (of 2 years) out to sing a couple of songs with him. They were great. The percussionist played the box he sat on and while my son knew what it was and told me, I don't remember, but it was fascinating to me as I had not seen that before. The band's sound was very good and I think we will be hearing more from them. Wish I knew the band name. Over all my sister & I had a fabulous time. I will definitely be looking for more concerts at this venue and will be seeing Plain White T's when they come this way again!!

They tried too hard to shed their saccharine image. That sweet persona is exactly what everyone in the crowd was there to see. The whole energy was incredibly awkward.

The band was positive and excited and made everyone there feel good! It was the first show I’ve seen where it looked like the artists were truly enjoying themselves and that made it the best show I’ve seen!

Plain White T's put on a great show! I cannot wait for their new album and the tour that's sure to follow.
